Please, you have no idea of the power that Stinky Old Garlic Man possesses. He's unstoppable. Reckon he has room for even more eggs too. Actually, that's a good point, just how many eggs can a single character have? I've never actually looked into it, SOGM is just super OP because I play as him 99% of the time so he's obviously scoffed the most eggs.

This game hit a new low with the Ode to Castlevania DLC...

I know, I know. But after 25 years of playing Smash Bros. with tap jump, there's just no way I can rewire my brain at this point. -

Yay! More tilt moves that I can't do because of tap jump. My first impressions are that he seems pretty sluggish, but has some powerful/annoying moves to compensate for that. It's fun to finally be able to dish out the stupidly long combo for once. Love the range on his Final Smash too, although it's also easy to whiff, as I expertly demonstrated on a few occasions. Anyway, cheers for the games everyone. See you next time! -

What!? The custom stage portion of the night is the main event! Well, with a theme like this one it could be, seeing as I've got quite a collection of spooky themed custom stages now. -

At least I'm back to my usual setup this week. Wi-Fi + portable mode was a nightmare! Oh, and I actually purchased Kazuya the other day too, so will probably stick mainly to him tonight while I figure out how he plays in Smash. -
I'm losing track of names for characters/weapons at this point as there's so many, but one run I did stood out more than others due to how ridiculously OP the character was, so it was probably Hector then. Also, I think it's safe to say they never need to add another whip to Vampire Survivors ever again. During one game I had an inventory full of 'em, then this popped into my head:

Yeah, it seems like only those playing on PS5 Pro or a stupidly high-end PC will be getting a good experience with this game. So in reality, not that many people. There's a lot of talk about RE Engine just not being suitable for open world games, and it looks like the performance of Dragons Dogma II and now MH Wilds confirms that. Such a shame.

Whoa! I think they might've gone a bit over the top with the Castlevania DLC. Definitely going to take a while to unlock everything and explore the entire map. There doesn't appear to be an adventure for this one though, which is probably for the best.

Oof! Game is ridiculously heavy/badly optimised on PC! There's no way I'd be able to play this on my current setup without it looking like a PS1 game (not an exaggeration ) and running at 30fps to boot. So yeah, unless there's some miracle optimisation done by Capcom between now and February, the only realistic chance of me still checking this out at launch would have to be via GeForce Now. Shame, but at least I know in advance. On the plus side, the character creator in this is amazing! Best there's ever been in a MH game for sure.

Got the Beta test version downloaded, it has a crazy long shader compilation process! Oh well, I'm ready to roll once the servers are live. I recommend anyone that'll be playing on PC to run the game and get the shader comp done ahead of time.

Actually, Nintendo and Apple are. Turns out my phone is too old to download this. WTF? Why would something as basic as a music player app require iOS 16?

Bloody hell! My heart skipped a beat when I started reading the thread title, I thought it was a sequel to Wii Music. And now I'm disappointed. Nah, this is actually quite cool. Took 'em long enough though, jeez.

Based on last week I reckon high is overkill. So we should go for normal or even low, but I’m cool with whatever everyone decides. BTW, just to let you know, I’m going to have be on Wi-Fi tonight *shudder* and playing in portable mode (with Joy-Con that drift) *shudder x2* So yeah, not sure how well that’s going to go. Anyway, see you at 7:30, hopefully. 🤞 -
Looks/sounds really cool. I see most people aren't too fussed about missing out on the test now that it's been revealed, but I'm actually slightly more annoyed that I didn't get in now.

Finally we get crossover DLC that actually makes sense! Excellent.

Tonight's Smash games... Yeah... items on high + custom stages might be a bit crazier than I thought. Also, I need to play as King Dedede more. Cheers everyone. -

Cheers for the games everyone, I've missed the insanity of N-E Smash Bros.! That one is still a WIP, as I cobbled it together this afternoon. Think the motion of the arm might be perfect already though. Oh yeah, despite blowing the dust of my GameCube controller earlier (it really was quite dusty ) it didn't bloody work when I connected it to my WiiU/GCN adapter. So I ended up using an old Wii U Pro Controller instead. It's so weird playing Smash on a controller that doesn't have an octagonal gate. -

Well, just because I wasn't subbed to NSO for a while, doesn't mean I wasn't tinkering with Stage Builder... It was a contributing factor (not sure why as I own both games already ) along with the new F-Zero 99 content, plus the fact I was in the mood for Saturday Smash Bros. again! -

💨 *blows dust off GameCube controller* Any chance you could make it 7:30? No worries if it's too short notice, in which case, see you at 8. -

That's because: I'm glad more people will get the chance to play these games (especially F-Zero Climax for the track editor) and experience the overly enthusiastic race announcer. Need to find a GBA so I can get my custom track passwords. Actually, it'd probably be quicker to just recreate them in the editor!

Ever since the emergence of cloud gaming I've always thought to myself that Nintendo of all companies would be very keen to incorporate it. Not only does it fit perfectly with their preference for lower-end hardware, but if they were to (eventually) use it exclusively to distribute their games, wouldn't that finally solve the ongoing problem they have with piracy/emulation? Not to mention the added bonus (for them, anyway ) of ending recommerce of their games. If so, I wouldn't really be surprised to see Nintendo fully utilise cloud-based gaming at some point. Probably not with Switch 2, but they could certainly get the ball rolling with it. So yeah, the theories you mentioned don't actually seem that crazy to me, in fact, the second one (original Switch streaming Switch 2 games) is straight up genius!

I see weird Nintendo is suddenly back for some reason. Had they not ludicrously overpriced this I may have got one for the novelty value (and the potential to perhaps customise it... Baby Face alarm? ) but as it stands, no way! Would love to know what the actual cost to produce these things is, feels like Nintendo will be making a repugnant amount of profit at that price though.

I'm far from an expert on the topic so don't take this at face value, but I reckon you'd struggle with recent stuff (other than simpler/less demanding indie titles, perhaps ) on that setup. From what I can tell it should be ok for the Tekno Parrot thing though. Never actually heard of that until now, looks like it's possible to play Mario Kart Arcade via it though!
