Dawn of War is so awesome. How does this compare? From what I played, I didn't really like teh style. The units and stuff in Dawn of War are so fleshed out and full of character. This game seems kind of souless. Maybe I just don't like future warfare sort of thing.

It is a lot like Half Life 2 really. Same sort of dystopian feel. By background storytelling, you mean like the subtle stuff, like newspaper articles adn radio broadcasts in the background. The attention to detail is great.

Why? I don't like piercings, ears are fine on girls, but I'd worry about it getting caught. Anyway else, a bit off putting. Some girl at my school has through little nail in her cheek. Doesn't look that bad, but it looks awful painful. Tattoos, unless small and inconspicuous, are terrible. How do you even know that the artist is going to be good. Maybe, if it means something to you, but the vast majority are just terrible. WTF is this shit? FORUM CHALLENGE - find a worse tattoo.

Vicar, you bastard. I need that hat. Best purchase in this thread, by an absolute mile. I will find a better hat and then fly to your country, and announce my victory on your door step. It will be a great day.

The link is that while you write these stories as though you saw them happening, they are autobiographical?

Hadn't thought about this. Well, I hadn't thought really. Its gonna be some dull game, but hopefully not something they have given away before.

Never fainted. Real men don't faint. I have come close though so I'm not a real man. It was abroad somewhere and it was a bit hot (45 degrees) and my vision went blurry, like I was looking through translucent glass. So I stumbled somewhere and sat down and it passed. Went back to do whatever I was doing, archery I think, and it happened again so I gave up. Weaksauce. I should have just took it and fainted, if only to see what it was like. Would like to experience a slip of consciousness.

I'd say giant spiders would be pretty harmless on ice. What with the 8 (admittedly giant) legs, they would be slipping everywhere. I'm aware I wasn't supposed to try to rationalise that statement.

Wasn't it rumour when you posted it. I think it was confirmed today by a reputable source. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Free stuff are great, I just hope it isn't something I already have. Probably be Uno.

Yeah, but Will Smith wasn't the main reason for it's awesomeness

Search for Humphrey and you get this I rest my case.

Cool. Interesting stuff. Apart from that alien adbuction bullshit. Can't move a bit, you've clearly been abducted by aliens. Sounds like the sleep paralysis thing. Unless, yours was you coudn't open your eyes or escape from the dream. I have an odd friend who is obsessed with dreams and lucid dreaming. Says he trains himself to have control of his dreams and control thier outcomes without waking up. If I ever realise I'm dreaming I wake up.
-
My friend does. He swears that C4 teletext provides the best videogame coverage.

I have 26 or 28 jeans I think. Its annoying. I'm stuck between kids clothes and small mans. T Shirts are fine, because I wear them quite big, but jeans never fit.
-
Yeah, but sleep paralysis isn't a dream. Its when you wake up and can't move anything for a bit. Cool. How long for?
-
Couple of my friends went on that the other week. They seemed to find it useful, if a bit pricey. They watched spine surgery.
-
Not being able to move wouldn't be nice. Read somewhere about waking up, but not being able to move any muscles for a minute or so. Sleep paralysis I think its called. Apparently fairly common. That would scare me anyway. A zombie apocalypse would be awesome however. *grabs cricket bat*

My history teacher (50 something welsh man) randomly did the Charleston (sp?) in the middle of the room the other week. That was awesome. Another legendary thing he did was when he saw me waiting for my friend in the morning. I was leaning against a fence and he drove past, wound down the window, threw 10p at me and said "buy yourself something nice." Now he keeps making references to me being homeless in lessons. I do actually have a home before anyone asks.

18.7 5ft 7 119 pounds / 8.5 stone I am one of those people with a high metabolic rate or whatever. I don't put on weight for some reason. I'd like to put on a bit really but I'd rather be a tad underweight than an epic fatman, which nobody so far has been. Either the fatmen of this forum are too scared to post or there are none. Need to grow some more though, damnit, anything below 5ft 11 is unacceptable for me.

Only comic moment I can recall was purely accidental. Some girl who wasn't the brightest button in the bag (or two planks short of a tree or whatever those phrases are) said something hilarious. Teacher: Who was the famous middle eastern doctor who described pulmonary circulation? Girl: GANDHI!! everyone else: lol at you m8 She was entirely oblivious to what was wrong with that answer.

Yeah, this was very sad. The music got to me mostly. Great soundtrack. Bizzarely, the only film that has reduced me to tears is Patch Adams. I don't think it is even a sad film or anything but anyway, when I was 10 or whatever, the floodgates opened. The other most odd one was watching Shrek the Halls the other day (terrible btw) when Shrek said he didn't know what Christmas was or something, I nearly cried. Don't understand this in the slightest. I'm a strange kid emotionally apparently, I blame reserved middle class white upbringing.

Just finished this mixed bag of a game. Enjoyed it overall but the ending annoyed me, I like conclusions, even partial conclusions and I didn't really get one. Still, I like the modern plot, gives more substance to an otherwise run of the mill middle age yarn. As much as I hate to say it, I will buy AC 2 & 3, if only to conclude the story.

Have you ever been wedged between a barrier?
Bluejay replied to Coolness Bears's topic in General Chit Chat
Nope, Coolness is just an idiot. The Emirates stadium turnstile however is lethal. -
