Man.. the tutorial just goes on, doesn't it? Been putting about 2.5 hours into it and I'm still being told how to do stuff. I wish for Stars to have the option "I actually trained a lot of Pokémon in Kanto, I know my stuff" when you start the game... I caught a Slowpoke and a Magnemite fairly early on and got my Munchlax (why did I get that?) so they are along with Rowlet my team, all about level 10. Oh, and the Trump-lookalike otter.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
MindFreak replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Really? Childish from Nintendo? She has leaked information and been correct several times, it's a wonder it's taken them so long to do so! I'm happy with that date. Mario and Zelda on day 1 would be awful - what to play? June is much better. -
It turns out to only be a problem if you use PKHeX, a cheat tool. http://kotaku.com/pokemon-sun-and-moon-players-busted-after-bug-turns-out-1789283518

I'll be looking for Twilight Princess HD (preferably with Wolf Link amiibo) and Pokkén Tournament. Other than that, I think I'm good to go regarding games for 3DS and Wii U.

Launch trailer for European version: Hopefully my copy of Sun shows up today!
-
It could also be because they had tons of ideas for Sun / Moon that just didn't fit into the technical limitations of the 3DS and hence decided to make a third version on a console that has a lot more horse power to carry out said ideas? My guess is, though, that we won't hear about this officially before E3. I see why some are angry but I think it's an overreaction. Sun and Moon have been received very postively, saying they are the best Pokémon-games ever so clearly they didn't skimp on those versions. Putting out a third version next year does not make Sun / Moon worse games, there is just coming a better version next year. Think of it like Fifa, you know a better version of it is coming out next year anyway, maybe even on Scorpio but that doesn't make 17 worse. Also, Dcubed has a point in Pokémon Company trying to pull a fast one, in some regard.

Gah, couldn't they at least have made this available digitally in Europe today?? I didn't think that those 5 days would bother me but they totally do! Also, although the rumour about Stars on Switch seems likely, it's still just a rumour. I would watch out getting my hopes up...

Reviews are rather good!
-
Well, it could be January 2018 which means that it's only a little more than a year...? But probably not!

Scarlett Johanson in body paint? Yes please! Oh. THe movie looks interesting. Don't know the background material but it looks good.

Don't you think the Pokémon and direction of the game was created before Pokémon Go was even a thing? And now they are just advertising using Pokémon Go as a lever, which makes perfect sense. Remember that there are only a handful of Alolan Pokémon and they might release more from gen 2-6 later on.

US Presidential Election 2016 - Nightmare Mode
MindFreak replied to gaggle64's topic in General Chit Chat
2016 will go down in history as the year where everything went wrong. Read that as well. I find it hilarious. In a tragic way, though. -
I'm watching Westworld and Black Mirror (for the first time) at the moment - will this be too much for now? It looks intriguing.

Yeah, I have talked about that to her. Money isn't really that much of a problem and I'll gladly pour some in that direction, but she said no to getting a PT because she wants someone to go with her that she knows. A friend of hers has also had some bad experiences with a PT which further discourages her. But I'll try to see if I can help her find someone good.

I have quite the dilemma regarding fitness. I'm very happy with my current gym, go there 4 times a week to attend classes and sometimes just training by myself. It's a dedicated crossfit gym meaning that the environment is raw but people going there are engaged in their fitness. It's a, to me, pleasant place to be, people are generally minding their own business, and the teachers are nice and helpful. It's a bit expensive but that's no problem to me. The classes have a max of 15 people so they are rather small groups. My wife does not like it there. Or in the other, commercial gyms around us for that matter. She has anxiety issues with gyms, going way back to school where she was a bit bigger than many and feared the mandatory gym classes there. Now she has decided to try again with a new gym, smaller with smaller classes, private, more expensive but with a swimming pool (she enjoys swimming, I do not). They have no high intensity classes and their free weights area is very limited - almost everything is done in machines. This is probably a good place for her but the problem is: She wants me to go with her for a long period of time (>6 months) so she can get to a point where she feels safe to go by herself. She needs a training buddy and has decided that I'm the best one as we live together. I think she's suffering from anxiety related to this - she thinks everyone is judging her, etc. Now, I'm all for helping her so she can get her fitness on at a place (she's at the moment just going for a run once a week). But she asks me to sacrifice my own fitness where I cannot go to classes that I really enjoy, I cannot train the way I want to by myself, and I fear that I end up being the only one of us that actually goes there - we have tried this before where we decided to train together but after a few times she stopped coming with me because "it was always when I felt for training that we should go". I want to help her out but I think she's demanding a bit too much from me on that point...

Guests can be harmed but not killed. However, moat narratives in the cities are harmless to guests, it's only out in the wild that the more ... exciting narratives are found. Oh, and that ending!! This episode really had some progress with the story.

When he posted it, it was only announced for US. :P Afterwards, NoE posted the info as well.

Looks promising, I think.

Also January 20th for Europe.

You get a hell of a lot more screen with the XL over the 2DS. In terms of power and such there is no difference. Pokémon Sun / Moon perform quite a bit better on New 3DS so that might be a good reason to go for the New. You can see it here:
