  1. This would happen right when I pick up Fire Emblem Warriors, huh? Oh well, it was second hand for 25 quid, so I can't complain. Contains all of the content from the WiiU and 3DS versions along with outfits for Link and Zelda based off of their Breath of the Wild outfits.
  2. Cult favourite DS game about trends and Shibuya and Death gets an amazing third chance on the Switch. Features updated visuals, a choice between touch or traditional controls and a new scenario. No release date as of now. EDIT: Oh, I probably should mention that the footage had this character show up. Make of that what you will.
  3. Just announced via the Nintendo Direct Mini. Comes out May 15th apparently. So yeah, obligatory "Switch finally gits gud" joke or whatever.
  4. I'm so gonna buy Hyrule Warriors for a third time and that's really sad... Hey, but at least my Switch will finally have a Zelda game I actually want. When the announcer said "Something wicked this way comes" I immediately thought "Woah, hold up... Harry Potter game!?" But it was just Dark Souls and I was very disappointed. Nothing too amazing, some nice stuff, sure. But nothing huge for me. EDIT: Oh wait, The World Ends With You on Switch. Amazing that game is getting another chance. Maybe this time we'll get the sequel.
  5. Why are you lot doing this to yourselves? Are you trying to make me laugh?
  6. I'm sorry Kav, you had to mention "Merc" 5 times to win tonight's star prize. But thanks for playing.
  7. Wow, now they're even posting vague images that could mean something, but probably don't. It's Smash 4 all over again and it's beautiful.
  8. People at Era are going Bat Ship Crazy over a number of Private Videos that have shown up on a few of Ninty's channels. This is way too funny. EDIT: Aw man, that thread has been temporarily locked. That's my Dinner entertainment ruined...
  9. It probably says a lot about me that I wouldn't be the slightest bit upset if a Direct wasn't announced today. Because all that hype on Era would only culminate in utter meltdown and it'll make for great reading. On the other hand, if this turns out to be legit, then, Woo! Direct! Basically, I win either way.
  10. Trolly Nintendo is definitely one of my favourite Nintendoes. The only thing more mean and hilarious is Trolly Sakurai.
  11. Blue Rescue Team - This one is on the easier scale. Also the shortest. Some bosses might catch you off guard depending on what two Pokémon you get as your mains. It's a Gen 3 game, so it's before the Physical/Special split. (Lucario gets a little cameo though) I'd also say it has the least good plot in Mystery Dungeon. Which sounds bad, but it's still better than 80% of Pokémon game plots. It's a great diving in point. But, being the first title, it has some weird quirks that get dropped from future titles. And it's pretty cheap on WiiU VC to boot. It's also the only Pokémon title that offers Cubone as a starter Pokemon, so gotta give it credit for that. Explorers of Sky - 2nd hardest of the four and my second favourite. A Gen 4 title featuring every Pokémon up to that point (Except Arceus, who appears in an impossible to find cameo) A lot of refinements got added, making for a much more polished game than BRT. Whatever you do decide to play first, make sure you play this one at some point. But for the love of everything holy, skip the opening cutscene when you boot up the game. It kinda spoils the biggest twist in the story and it's a really good one. Notable for being around three times as long as the first game. Gates to Infinity - Gen 5's entry also happens to be my least favourite. It's also the easiest. It's not bad, but it suffers from a horrendously slow pace. Text speed is slow, animations are slow, everything is slow. And PMD isn't exactly a fast paced game to begin with. I can really only recommend this one if you've played another one and really want more. Too many annoying niggles. That said, it does have the most insane story in the Pokemon Franchise. I'm still amazed this game got a PEGI 3 rating. I'd say why, but spoilers. Super Mystery Dungeon - Gen 6's game decides that it's had enough of kiddy gloves and gives us the second hardest Pokémon game ever. (After Typing Adventure) Has every single Gen 6 Pokémon, except Diancie and Volcanion, who are all recruitable through side quests. This one's my favourite. Story is almost as good as EoS, soundtrack is great by Mystery Dungeon standards (Pretty damn amazing) and it has the best gameplay. Can't recommend it enough... After playing Explorers of Sky, this game gets super hard. PMD is pretty much the only DS-Era Pokémon spin-off series to survive to the present time, and for good reason. It provides challenge and plot to a franchise that isn't really known for either. It shines the spotlight on the less popular Pokémon and adds character to them as well. From goofy western-speaking Bidoof to Alcoholic Krookodile (He says it's Milk, it's totally not) Go for it, they're all playable on the 3DS, so they're pretty accessible. But I'll give you two pieces of advice. Holding R makes you move only diagonally. And don't ever mess with the Kecleons.
  12. PSMD is definitely not the the game I'd recommend as an entry title. It's quite easily the hardest in the series. A very unforgiving game. It's still a good deal though. Explorers of Sky is certainly no cakewalk, but it's much more beginner friendly with a less steep difficulty curve. It still gets tough though, around two thirds through (Damn you, Porygons). Best story in the Pokemon franchise as well, even with "Power of Friendship" seeing heavy usage. That's the one I'd recommend first if it's available.
  13. It actually makes both solitaire and horse racing fun. It deserves your money.
  14. I'd say, especially Pokémon. Fair warning though, as much as I love both of these games, they both cater to a specific niche, and they're not at all shy about punching you in the face repeatedly for making a mistake. They're brutal.
  15. Sorry, can't make it today, have fun though!
  16. Oh great, someone's already trying to one-up me. Good luck with that though.
  17. Here are the highlights I got during the Gaming session 2 days ago.
  18. Thanks, @RedShell, @Nintendo Fan and @Clownferret for the games and thanks for putting up with my overexcitement making me punt the ball for giggles. I love doing that.
  19. I see, @nekunando is around as well, I'll try to invite you both.
  20. Anyone fancy playing this tonight? After my first foray into this in yesterday's multiplayer extravaganza. I'm keen to play some more.
  21. Hah, we only needed three of us N-Europers to win that match, slick!
  22. @Sméagol, @Ike and I are playing some Turf War, if you want in.
  23. Thanks to everyone who took part, it was an awesome night! And now I'm a Rocket League fan. I've got a handful of highlights as well. We should do it again some time in the future. Happy New Year! EDIT: Heh, I actually ran out of reactions. Definitely a good night.
  24. I'll keep going until someone drops out.
  25. Man, that last match was tight!
