I'm not saying that adding them is an inherently bad thing, more stuff to play with is fine by me. I would likely use them if implemented. That said, I doubt a mid-console revision is going to be the place where we see this on a Nintendo console. Developers will suddenly see themselves having to put in an achievement list. And how would it work when you've already played a game to death like I have? Will I suddenly get thousands of achievements? I doubt a lot of Switch games are programmed for this kind of thing. So in reality, a lot of Switch games would just not have it in this scenario.

Man, E3 2019 was probably the best Switch-Era E3 for me so far! I'm not expecting this year's to reach that lofty height, but I wouldn't be upset! What I'm expecting Next Smash Character (That's a gimme) Something on BotW 2 (No matter how small) Some kind of update news for Animal Crossing Kirby game (I've got a good feeling that it's time for something there) My Crazy Stupid Dream Land! Second Smash Character. And it's Toxtricity! I do believe that we're gonna get a Gen 8 Pokémon in there. Sword/Shield was crazy popular, but there's over 100 less awesome Pokémon as competition, so... Either way, I think they're gonna prolong the agony of speculation, seeing as it's the end of Ultimate's DLC, actually speaking of... A third Fighter's Pass! We're 4 characters short from having a perfect rectangle on the character select screen! That needs to be fixed! PMD: Explorers Remake. Don't get me wrong, it's defo happening, but probably not this year. Metroid Prime 4 footage. Not got a good feeling that's in a showable state. A Zelda game that isn't open-world tripe. And now I've made myself sad...

A lot of Nintendo games already have some kind of "achievements" system built in-game these days. (Hyrule Warriors, Xenoblade 1, Miitopia, etc.) Hell, Smash Bros has been doing it since the Gamecube days! How's that for "ahead of it's time"? I'm not really fussed about an achievement system. It just seems like a big knob waving contest, really. But achievements that actually reward you with something in-game is way better! (Xenoblade gives you extra EXP, Smash rewards you with various goodies)

The thread is called "Games That Need The Switch 4K Power Boost" A miniscule amount of detail isn't exactly a great use of that. There are a lot of games that could use the power boost in terms of frame rate alone.

Congratulations! You chose one of the worst examples of games that need this theoretical boost. Might as well shove Smash Ultimate and Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap in there while you're at it!

It should be called Super Nintendo Switch. It won't be, but it should. There's only two options for prediction that I'd go with, but I think it'll be Nintendo Switch XL.

It's one of the best games on the 3DS. Thing is, I played it on the 3DS already and there isn't enough new in this port to warrant me buying this one. I'd be all over it otherwise.

Kinda, we're talking about the beta version of Sonic 3. Basically, as far as I'm aware, Sonic 3 already had a soundtrack, but Michael Jackson stepped in and wrote some tracks which is what was used in the final product. This naturally causes all sorts of problems for any re-releases. 25 years later, we actually got to hear these when the Prototype ROM was released. These tracks were used in the PC version (Although touched up a tad). My (and many others) concern is that this Origins re-release will revert back to this soundtrack, which just doesn't sound as good. Prototype Ice Cap in particular really pales in comparison.

Yeah, that Valstrax is nuts! Evade Window is the only reason I was able to avoid carting! Speaking of, I'm totally farming the final boss for that armour, it's so good! EDIT: Now that I got a chance to listen to the Final Boss music without running around and panicking, it's really something. Might just be the best music in Monster Hunter history. Definitely top 5.
