  1. Yep, that's the old-school Disney one. Honestly, that and the original costume were the only ones I considered using. The original costume is nice and colourful and fits Smash like a glove, and the Timeless River one is a nice homage to my favourite world in Kingdom Hearts 2, fits in with similar costumes from Kirby and Dedede, and is cool because of the different facial animations. Wisdom Form is a distant third, I guess.
  2. Still boot it up every day.
  3. You don't need New Horizons to play Happy Home Paradise. Shout out to @Ashley. It's like New Super Luigi U or Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna.
  4. Yeah, probably the case. Anyway, most games on the N64 aren't so difficult that they warrant the feature.
  5. Yeah, this was already known. You could tell from the footage when it was revealed. No way in hell N64 games were that crisp.
  6. Yeah, unless you want Happy Home Designer 2, this probably isn't worth it. OK value if you do want that though.
  7. Considering it's basically the sequel to Happy Home Designer, I think 22.49 is actually quite reasonable. Apparently, you don't even need New Horizons to play it. But you probably won't get the benefits applied to your own island.
  8. Wait, I've got every crocodile on my island and yet I saw one in that Amiibo card pack that isn't in the game! MEGATON! Perhaps Crocodile Isle can have it's dream fully realised of 9 crocs, and Cranston. Also, Happy Home Designer 2 is also nice, I suppose...

    Tattoos

Man, that is some proper talented work going on with your arm there, @Dog-amoto! If it wasn't for the fact that my pain threshold is painfully low and my phobia of needles, I'd probably get a tattoo myself. I always liked the idea of getting a big massive back tattoo of a Groudon doing the famous Steve-o thumbs up pose. I think it'd be just the right mixture of goofy and cool. I'd never be able to handle it though.
  10. Right, by the time next week rolls around, Sora will be available. So for the last time, we'll be having a New Character session! Like all the previous ones, anyone who has the second fighter's pass will be highly encouraged to use everyone's favourite kid with clown shoes, so we can get used to how he plays and make many stupid mistakes which will no doubt make for a funny highlight video. Now, to help differentiate each person from each other in said highlight video, you'll need to claim a Sora costume for yourself, so we can avoid any embarrassing and confusing fashion mishaps. You can see each costume here. Click on the Sora render to cycle through each costume. Kingdom Hearts 1 - @Glen-i Kingdom Hearts 2 - @Ike Dream Drop Distance - @Dcubed Kingdom Hearts 3 - Timeless River - @BowserBasher KH2 Valour Form - KH2 Wisdom Form - KH3 Ultimate Form - @S.C.G The order of that list matches up with the order on the above site, so if you don't recognise them by name, well, you should be able to figure it out. Now of course, some of you still don't have the second Fighter's Pass. Don't worry, I'm not here to judge publically, I'm here to provide you alternative options. These characters have some sort of connection to Sora. Some are looser then others, give me a break! I had to make some real stretches with this one! Square Enix Characters Cloud Hero (DQ3) Hero (DQ4) Hero (DQ8) Hero (DQ11S) Dog & Duck Buddies Duck Hunt Duo Old-school Disney Animation Style Mii Gunner (Cuphead costume only) - @RedShell Princesses, but not the Disney kind Peach Daisy Sheik Zelda Lucina Corrin (Female only) Knock-off Elsa Rosalina & Luma - @Ugh first aid Blunt Weapon Wielders Ness Ice Climbers Lucas King Dedede Palutena Banjo & Kazooie Kirby Kirby Stage choice will be limited to mostly Hollow Bastion. If you don't have it, then just choose Random. Date & Time: Saturday 23rd October - 8pm So, if you're free then, post quickly before someone else claims the Sora costume/character you want. (Yes, I'm fully aware that Sephiroth isn't there, but if you have Sephiroth, you'll likely have Sora as well, so you might as well pick Sora) It's the final new character in Smash Ultimate, so I'm hoping the more weekend-y date will encourage some of the lapsed players among you back for one last go. Don't let me down!
  11. Nope. Absolutely not. It's more difficult then the average Metroid game. And it's "Metroid 5", you're probably expected to know some things about the 4 2D games before hand. Play Super Metroid before hand. It's easily available on Switch. But if you can, play Zero Mission first. That's the best "My first Metroid".
  12. Chimchar ain't all that, but Infernape is my favourite Sinnoh final evolution. That design is awesome. It's a karate monkey whose head is on fire! What's not to like? And in Diamond/Pearl, if you don't choose Chimchar, you only have Ponyta for a Fire Pokémon. Which sucks.
  13. No, you're not. That said, I prefer the Game Boy version, so I'd rather have that.
  14. Stamina matches tonight at 8pm.
  15. Yeah, it probably would've steamrolled everything if it was allowed. I suspect that's why @Dcubed specified character reveal trailers only. More interesting that way. That said, the moment Snake appears with those three words was a real "Holy crap!" moment for me. And then the flurry of follow-up blows showing that they really do mean "everyone", even Pichu and Young Link. Never has one trailer so thoroughly won an E3 for me.
  16. @Julius, hate to break it to you, but Chimchar's neck has always been that thin. And yes, I just booted up Pokédex 3D Pro to confirm it.
  17. To be fair, how many official ways are there to play a game from 1996 on a portable device with 3 other people online?
  18. I'm making an article, so I may be using some quotes from people. This is completely optional, mind. And you're free to discuss trailers here, as long as you don't reveal which ones you're voting for.
  19. Right, it's been a week so far, and I've only received votes from 5 people. And yes, I'm including myself in that number. That's not good enough, so I'm setting the deadline for next Wednesday. And... I probably shouldn't say this, but you know that trailer you don't think is that great? Well, yeah, it's doing pretty well! Can you live with yourself if it placed highly and you sat down and did nothing about it. Do you want N-Europe to look like the kind of people who like that trailer? Didn't think so. You should do something about it now. Remember to vote via PM to me. And when this is done, I plan on putting the top 10 in an article on the main site (#11 and lower will be listed here), kinda like the console top 10's I did a while back.
  20. Did you manage to find the secret boss in Deltarune Chapter 2, @Aperson? It's a toughie, but totally worth it. Worth it for the music alone, it's a right bop!
  21. Taken on it's own, it's fine, but every Mario Kart since has only served to make 64's flaws more apparent. The character balance is just flat out borked in favour of Yoshi, Toad, and Peach. They accelerate faster, their top speed is the best and they turn the easiest as well. There really is no real reason to choose anyone else. (Well, they get shunted the most by heavy characters, but no-one's gonna catch you anyway, so...) You know when Toad shouts "I'm the best!" He's not lying. Playing with three other people and they choose the golden 3 first? Sucks to be you, then. The items are woefully useless. The Red Shell requires you to be right up the backside of the person in front, and even then, it's not a sure thing. You can hit a banana and as long as you're driving straight, you just tap B and it does nothing. Screen cheating makes tracks with jumps that cross over lower sections like Wario Stadium devolve into a stalemate when someone inevitably gets a Lightning and no-one dares cross the jump, because everyone knows what's gonna happen. On the other extreme, tracks like Wario Stadium (again) and Rainbow Road force you to have a gentleman's agreement that certain unintended shortcuts are banned, otherwise you're not really racing on the track at all. Really, if you want a racing game with item shenanigans, just play Diddy Kong Racing. It's just a better designed and balanced game. As long as people don't realise how to break more then half of the tracks with the Car. Mario Kart 64's only redeeming quality is Battle Mode, which is surprisingly good for 4-player shenanigans.
  22. It's because Mario Kart 64 is kinda mediocre.
  23. I've always wanted to try that game. Because, y'know, if it can stand up to Diddy Kong Racing, then it must be great!
  24. Why even include them as an option in the survey then!? Unnecessary building up hope there.
