  1. Only speedrunners, you'd be mad to attempt a more casual run of it. Hammer sucks. EDIT: Unless you're playing a game where Dedede is playable, his hammer rocks! Especially when you can throw it away infinitely.
  2. It's such a broken defensive ability! It won't break many records, unfortunately.
  3. Well, some of the most difficult ones to 100% in my opinion are: 64: To be frank, only one bit is difficult, the boss rush. Kirby isn't as flexible in this game and the bosses aren't very fun. Losing patience will get you killed 90% of the time. Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush: Good luck getting the required medal on Paint Roller, because it's very strict! I've only done it once and it was torture! Great game though. Planet Robobot: This boss rush is actually good, a real test of endurance and skill. It took me a fair few attempts to beat the True Arena in this. Also gives you a mark of shame if you attempt to cheese it with amiibos. Star Allies (Post Update): Trying to beat The Ultimate Choice on the highest difficulty with solo Kirby? Yeah, that's fun! Probably the second hardest Kirby challenge in the series. (After Canvus Curse's Paint Roller) Remember, friends are for wimps! Pity that the base game is a bit mediocre by Kirby standards. It's fine, but still.
  4. Speaking of, did you receive the Warm Painting I sent you?
  5. I almost did on the first post-game challenge. Good ol' Kirby endgame difficulty spike!
  6. Credits have rolled. Still got to reach 100% there. Super massive spoilers ahead!
  7. Yeah, Normal is proper broken against bosses! A lot of them release multiple stars to swallow, crazy damage with some skillful positioning.
  8. I'm on world 4 now, (125 Waddle Dees) and it's just so gosh darn cute! Kirby has a dedicated "Hi" button, and that's very important! The Treasure Road target times are quite strict. Completely optional, but I get some mad Kirby Dream Collection vibes from them.
  9. I wonder if this game has the option to use the original soundtrack? I'd be surprised if it didn't, considering you can revert the game back to the original models and such. Because that's a surefire way to win in terms of soundtrack remasters.
  10. Damn it, @Dcubed! Good races tonight. Mount Wario is always a good track to end on.
  11. Sorry, @Dufniall joined and we thought it was you. @Ike avoid choosing a track we already raced on that night.
  12. Tonight's Mario Kart Session is at 8pm tonight. It's a Player's Choice night, so you're free to choose any track. (Avoid racing on the same track twice, though) @BowserBasher, I'll have to ask you to host again, I might not be able to make it.
  13. Legends: Arceus (And Let's GO while we're at it) still are turn based RPG's that utilise the base mechanics of Pokémon battles. Granted, my issues with those games are that they strip back a lot of what makes them interesting for no good reason, but that's beside the point. The spin-offs, even the turn based ones such as Conquest and MD, function very differently to the mainline games. So they feel like Spin-offs, as far as I'm concerned. It's also for this reason that I think the whole "Core games are the ones made by Game Freak" falls apart quite easily when you consider BD/SP. If that doesn't count, then none of the remakes do, either. Hell, I didn't even think it applied back in the GameCube era thanks to Colosseum and XD. They play very much like the mainline games. Typing that, it does seem that the line is different for each person. But I don't think quality or the developer that works on it really count.
  14. It might feel like a spin-off, but I can't agree that it is. Wouldn't a spin-off imply that the fundamental gameplay is different to what you'd expect? Tour is still a kart racer where item usage plays a big part in winning. By your logic, games like Pokémon: Legends Arceus would be classed as a spin-off, when that's not the case.
  15. Doesn't matter, it's sales were absolutely woeful. One of the least successful games in the franchise.
  16. I wouldn't say that counts. The game did OK enough. Selling slightly less then 5 and a little more then 7. RE6 has more of a polarising reception. For every person who think it's rubbish, there's likely another person who quite enjoyed it. You're letting your personal opinion cloud your judgement. You want a Resi game that did universally bad? There you go.
  17. IT'S ABOUT BLOODY TIME!
  18. No, I'm checking Serebii's site every day to make sure though, so I'll let you know when he gets info on that.
  19. Yeah, just go all the way to the left when selecting a game, and you'll see "Play Online"
  20. In this theoretical universe, I suppose the price would still be the same? Because in that scenario, I'd prefer 48. Yes, visually speaking, it's not up to the standard the non-Tour tracks set, but they still look fine, not that I have time to even notice during gameplay because of the chaos I have to be aware of. In this kind of game, I want the tracks to be fun. And pretty much all of them manage to be somewhat fun. Tokyo Blur would be totally boring if it wasn't for the shifting routes, and 3DS Toad Circuit is fine for a first track, but feels weird being where it is. Now what if we got 24 instead, and Toad Circuit and Tokyo Blur were part of the initial 4? I think that would leave a more sour taste in my mouth. Sure, they may look pretty, but half of the tracks in this first wave would be kinda bland, and I don't think that's a better trade-off. At least this way, we have 6 fun tracks and 2 duds that don't look quite as nice if it didn't have a skeleton crew working on it. Music's on point though. Mario Kart Band can do no wrong, and that's far more important then visual details I'll barely notice. I'll notice DS Shroom Ridge's remix all the time!
  21. Oh no! You didn't!? Palutena's Temple is the only stage I turn off from the random selection, because it is obscene in how massive it is. There are plenty of big stages in Smash, but they tend to add an interesting wrinkle to matters. For example, New Pork City has wide blast zones, but gets away with it because there isn't really a place that can save you from a KO. If your damage is high enough, you're losing a stock. Temple is on the smaller side, but has a "Cave of Life", an area where you can squeak out an extra 30 seconds of life. But the stage is small enough that it stays funny, but doesn't turn obnoxious. The Great Cave Offensive is arguably larger then Palutena's Temple and is stuffed with Caves of Life, but the danger zones both solves the size issue and flips the Caves of Life into Caves of Death. Ricocheting around that stage is quite dangerous and can quickly rack up the damage, and eventually, the 100% instant KO. Palutena's Temple has all three of these things, but no Danger Zones, so matches go on forever! It's annoying in 1-on-1, but in bigger matches, it's pretty standard for the people in 3rd and 4th to spend more then 2 minutes waiting for the last two to lose one stock. This happened all the time when I hosted Smash sessions at my community centre, and kids don't like watching forever matches, so I turned that stage off, and I do so here. It's a good thing that Smash 3DS has a better Kid Icarus: Uprising stage. I can put all the appropriate music there instead.
  22. See, the problem there is that those are third party titles, and a lot of them are not keen on putting their games on NSO. Doom 64 is pretty much at 0% chance of happening, because they'd much rather just sell the port instead.
  23. And just like that, I hope it dies after Mario Golf...
  24. It literally says otherwise in the above trailer. Now of course, how many more there will be is a complete unknown. Could be one game, for all we know.
  25. Probably too late to mention that completing it on 150cc automatically gets you the gold and stars on 50 and 100, huh?
