What LL are you @MilaGi? I was about 385/6 when I started HM.
-
There's a 7 day trial right? Just have to knuckle down
-
Damn you guys and your seemingly limitless incomes :p I want PSVR bad.
-
200 is out of the realm of possibility IMO....
-
I mean, pre-order from somewhere that will have some kind of decent deal/bundle, arrive on time, is trustworthy, reputable and most importantly is not GAME :p
-
I didn't know if we had to get out of the darkness zone to stop the clock so I raced the zamboni :p
-
Yeah likewise. I want much more info, I'm disappointed that I haven't seen more games or that the information isn't more concrete. I'm sure there's some internal issue, licensing or such, that's tying them up - they're not just holding out for the sake of it. Despite that, I'll be pre-ordering it ASAP because the quality of the design and lack of gimmickry gives me confidence that they might be mending their approach, and it looks like a great item in and of itself.

It was not hard apart from Vosik, where the biggest problem we had was the no-revive mechanic. Which I still think is a lazy way of making something more difficult. We used at least 3 swords on the last boss and I'd say we took nearly 50% of his health off in one go. We also got the <6min Siege Engine (4:50 or so) record book task done. HM is very doable after that first hurdle, much more than Kings Fall.
-
Good work on the HM raid all Vosik was definitely the hardest part. Spent at least a couple of hours doing all the Shiro bounties on both alts, including unlocking Plaguelands patrol mode by running through the story, and still no Thorn bounty A Skeleton key was useless? That's unusual as it's weighted very heavily to give you a boost in something you need, right? What bit of gear is holding you back? Archon's Forge or crucible might be a better source.

I've never agreed with you more strongly on anything @Daft It's like nobody dares get excited anymore.
-
Can't tell if joking or not realising that's the actual point of the name.

They are saying it's a home console, because it's the replacement for the Wii U as opposed to the next in the DS line. But they are also saying, "you can leave the dock at home and travel with this, you can take it to a friend's house, take it to the park, you can take it on a plane and use it on a long haul flight". They wouldn't approach it like that if you needed to take the dock with you when the battery ran out.
-
This is cray. There is 100% no chance that this will be the case. Of course you will be able to just plug it in. I charge my iPhone in a dock, doesn't mean I can't also charge it with a USB cable.

Don't see why the question about Skyrim being shown. It's the perfect upcoming release to say "we're gonna have what everyone else has, now". The Skyrim remaster is out soon, it's a peak-technology, easily recognisable current-gen console game. PS4 and Xbox revisions are coming but new systems are not on the horizon. That means the Switch should be able to compete and finally play all cross-platform third party titles for the foreseeable future. I'm super excited about this thing, I really want it. My only disappointment is in how cagey they're being about it.

Honestly if it's like 3D World I take back everything I've said in the last 24 hours and I will not buy a Switch. And I loved that game too, but it was like a Mario game stripped back for small children. I really doubt they will. As I pointed out somewhere else, Switch is an integral mechanic. It doesn't lend itself to gameplay, it doesn't mean anything once you've turned it on and started playing. 64 however was used to say "this is the 64-bit version of this", "Wii" as a suffix meant "it's the motion controls outing!" and "Wii U" was to say "this is the version that uses the tablet" etc..

Changed something before I even posted :p Still happening? For some reason the menu item was set to n-europeforums.com. If you didn't set "remember me" and only had one tab open then I assume changing domain even momentarily could log you out.
-
Yeah I think it's a given using the controllers like that is just for ease of portability, or if you want to put it down like the guy does on the plane in the trailer. I think they make perfect sense for that use.

I've realised that there is one place I could be let down heavily by Nintendo. I don't really care about speed, gpu or any other specs, but I care about HDD space. It needs to be easily expandable, I don't want to run out of space with DLC and downloadable titles. Also, the handheld should take standard SD or Micro SD cards like the 3DS, learn from PlayStation's mistake and do not start using proprietary memory cards. I mean, I know you're agreeing with me :p but it's not impossible that some games will utilise the tablet and the TV, probably just using the dock as a transmitter of game information, so only getting the amount of available power that you get undocked. I'm not :p the Wii originally touted having this kind of thing and most of it was tacky or never materialised at all. It's not necessary to augment the device with plastic, I can do that much with my imagination...

The fact people are surprised that the reaction is positive goes to show there's too much prejudice against anyone with a negative opinion on Nintendo. People expect dislike, because they genuinely believe we don't like things "because it's Nintendo". Of course the reaction to this is going to be mostly positive. It's a good, smart, modern device, showing off the big titles we've not seen for ages and the kind of cross-platform third party support we haven't seen since the Snes.

Lets start the raid at 12pm then @Eddage @Map @DriftKaiser @Sheikah @Zell And continue on Sunday. I am out in the evening Sunday though. If you can start earlier Saturday, be there! :-) As Drift says, you know you don't need Void ability kills right? I originally did that quest with my hunter, who didn't even have a void subclass, and a fusion rifle.

Did anyone ever care about whether Pokemon would be on a home console, from the sense that it would or would not be portable? I think that's an argument that might've developed over time on this forum but lost its reasoning along the way. The point was, people want a full sized Pokemon game with the scale and depth that you usually only get from a console. It's not about whether it's on a system you can unplug and take outside, it's about whether it's a Pokemon game that looks more like the new Zelda than like Sun/Moon. Doesn't really matter what people are saying or how it's referred to at this point IMO, we all have the same info.... BBC are only saying what they've seen, no different to what you've seen.
-
I'm pretty sure that it's not a touch-screen, nor is it dual screen, so you won't be using the tablet while playing on your TV. Just guessing really, but they didn't show any touch functionality in the trailer. If it's not, I won't miss it at all.

@Phube for the love of... rehost your sig already :p Honestly, I am just so happy there's no gimmick. Even you were telling me 2 hours ago to prepare for something "quirky", and I don't think this fits that. It looks smart, modern and definitely has a broad appeal. Even though I won't use it half as many of the ways that video showed it off, I still want one. And, it feels like a sign that they're realising they can have their unique footprint without being tacky.
