I believe we are still yet to see the final secret
Nintendork replied to Stocka's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The controller, GameCube connectivity, SD, DVD playback, little speaker, new colours, the shell, nintendo connect24 and the games cumulatively are quite revolutionary. However.. the only one that stands up as revolutionary itself is the controller.. and we had already seen that. I think there could be something else- I don't think a microphone will be a secret.. it's going to happen for Mario party games or something. I think it's probably some nunchaku add-ons which are really radical. -
More evidence that the victory will be Nintendo's, Not Sony's
Nintendork replied to Nintendinosaur's topic in Nintendo Gaming
You guys care about this too much, you take it too personally. Fair doos you like it, so do I. Who gives a fuck if it sells 10 billion units? We are getting one, our friends and family are probably going to get one.. and Nintendo fans are going to get one too so there are people to play on Nintendo WiFi. Why does this matter? It's not your business to take pride in really. QFT. though not all chavs are from working class backgrounds. -
I don't hang out anywhere where it would be demoed before I am able to buy it (game shops, expos etc, tours etc..) I'm not that fussed. I'll buy it the day it comes out.

Meh, the type of people at the E3 conference does not represent the public in any way. They're all freaks, geeks and go go fish techy bolex guys. If I was reading this as a non-gamer, I'd consider a Nintendo- but it wouldn't be a big deal for me, because E3 isn't open to the public, it doesn't concern me. The only thing that concerns the average non-gamer is the price, and the games. Nintendo has the lowest price by far, and they have some of the most fun games. I don't think it needs this kind of publicity. As soon as Radio 1 (a station that many non-gamers listen to) announced on the news that the PS3 was £350 many of them expressed anger and disinterest. The fact that it is actually £410 for the HD/wireless/hard drive kit will only amplify this feeling towards Sony. Nintendo has it in the bag, they will need to get games out- that's all to carry on momentum like the DS.

threads with official in the title suck.

Wii control same as PS3 according to Melbourne Sun
Nintendork replied to small tac's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Second hand evidence, second class newspaper. The Sun anyone? We Love it.. Pfft. -
He's working with Yamaha at the moment on a music board device that has a 16x16 grid and you can touch it to make sounds- they have WiFi and you can link up to make music together, all the buttons light up and make patterns. Clearly inspired by his DS project. Someone ripped off his idea already I saw it on TV. Working with Nintendo would probably lead to another project which echoes to Wii controller.

Pwned indeed, I meant home consoles.. the GB micro does count The GBA and GameCube shells voided your warranty. I'm just saying.. I think it's highly unlikely they will let people customise it.. it's already pretty simple design- you could just put decals over it or wait for a limited edition one. It's clearly going to have electronics and chips that will get fucked up if you touch them or force a shell on that's going to be a tight fit. haute couture n. The leading establishments or designers for the creation of exclusive fashions. It never goes out of fashion,

I think it will have a story tbh, if you consider the scale that things have been represented to us- and the plot seems to be revolving around disaster. Therefore it will probably rely on our resourcefulness to get out of this situation- I really think there has to be some direction if the game is going to live up to the scale by offering a good life. I think it will have sub plots to make the experience varied.

A. Dead link. B. It's just to stop problems with the limited number of units on the show floor- if one goes wrong there's 100 photographers around to show the unit not functioning and the station representative looking very worried because it isn't working.
-
I'll wait for Toshio Iwai's game tbh.. more fun.

No, Nintendo never allows consumers to screw with the insides. Name a Nintendo console where you could do this in the past, I doubt you can (unless it's some gimmick) Nintendo wants their warranty scheme to be as cost effective as possible. If people get it home and start screwing with it they'll claim factory problems and Nintendo will have to replace it. I say doubleplusno. Choose your colour on launch, you pick the one you like and stick with it.

I think they'd want to make a different title, if not only because of that atrocious name.

Guarana, the producer announced it on his website (smashbros.com) which is following development. There's going to be .mp3s soon I guess from the 'music' tab on the site. Also Cloud was already in a PS2 fighter called 'Ehergheiz' or something. It was quite poor. My main concern- the game will be too similar to Smash Bros. melee using the new controller. Nintendo will probably also not stock GameCube controllers making it difficult to obtain 4 for multiplay if you're a new member to the Smash Bros fanclub. - perhaps meaning you'll have to use that BS 'shell'

Mario, between October 1st 2006 and December 31st 2006. That's all we know right now, and that's a worldwide launch period. You can bet Japan gets it in early October, the Americas in early November and Europe in early December though.

Apple's iPods (except the shuffle) cost nearly 40% above their retail price. I'm not saying Nintendo has turned into Apple in one generation.. but the DS lite carries an extra 20% premium over the classic DS, just for the design. I wouldn't be suprised if Nintendo charges a hefty premium- they have the right to. They are one-of-a-kind. I'd gladly pay it.. I'm not justifying what Apple does, because I think it's wrong to make such excessive profit margins. But when you have a product like that- It's hard to not say "why not?" Maybe we'll be paying £160ish ($250)

Yeah Apple and Nintendo fuck tards rule the internet. I am so sick of digg having so many Nintendo/Apple stories. Every 5 minutes it's like "OMG NINTENDO WII SCREENSHOT RELEASED" while an entire PS3 event goes on and nothing makes the front page. My theory is that the Nintendo fans swamp the news sites and spam every non Nintendo story until all the people interested in reading them go to a Sony/Microsoft exclusive site. That isn't a good thing at all.. digg sucks since the Apple/Nintendo hype bois started running around acting like losers. Joystiq had to be split up into the fanboy empires because of Nintendo flame wars between DS/Revolution + PSP/PS3 fanboys. I'm quite ashamed to be a Nintendo fan right now when making comments in the blogosphere.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Nintendork replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Hahah classic, quoted for truth.. basically it's a game- the magnet shit is obviously to make the gameplay a bit more varied- add something new to the game and make the controller even harder to use. By making everything upside-down. Quit yo' jibba jabba. -
Reported to Ofcom. haha, unlucky Nintendo UK.

Wii games will look better than they did at E3
Nintendork replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Who said it has a low life span? I disagree anyway, Ni-Mh batteries which are intended for high intensity devices like digital cameras are exceptional. I have some of the uniross ones and they rock hard. 800 charges before they decrease in life or your money back. I'm very happy they made this decision but I really want to know an average lifespan say playing Mario or Metroid. -
I think it is wrong, there was no date advertising when it will be out. However the adverts were pretty good.
-
It won, of course it did.. nobody ran to it first thing when doors opened. Nobody queued hours to play it.

Dead Bird. Why? Because I'm a freak. I thought it looked peaceful.
