Haha it would be amusing to video us playing Smash Bros. whilst my friend is driving. The TV is mounted behind the gearstick so he has to drive in 2nd or 4th all the time. It is very dangerous but quite amusing.

On PlayStation or XBOX yes.. but Nintendo has a hardcore fanbase of Zelda and Mario fans who will primarily buy a console for their favourite heroes. It's not as easy.. which was my point as to why they are blitzing it. They had some PR guy saying they want to becoming 'in' with the Nintendo crowd and alienate EA. Ubisoft obviously wants to make money but it's not going to be easy for them. The youth of Japan have lots of money.. because of housing prices are beyond the reach of the youth today they all rent. Meaning they have lots of money to blow on fashion and gadgets. This is why the PS3 will have no problem in Japan, I guess Nintendo Japan's logic is- most of them who can afford it will buy them.

I dunno what happened with the translations.. but I heard €11 million. (Nintendo of Europe after all made the announcement) Then I heard a load of people a few hours touting £11 million. £11 million sounds a lot.. even for the entire of Europe If the former is true then it's only about £7 million for the whole of Europe.. which is still nothing to be ashamed of. For perspective the channel 4 comedy deal (in touch with original comedy) for a year cost Nintendo UK £1 million.

The Grudge (Japanese original) Chances of you getting a chance to see this are slim and none. But if you do. Ask to see the DVD then burn it! It is a crime against cinema. 2/10.. I guess..

Nintendo Europe doesn't really have their own online store.. so probably major chain stores and online retailers. Another case of Nintendo WiFi adaptor- shipped thinly, but if you look you'll probably find it.

First party titles got to be spaced out y'know? Gamers can't afford many games all at once.. and they have notoriously short attention spans. By spacing them out it's possible for Nintendo to have the latest greatest game, every month for the next 6 months. Launching them all on day one would detract from the quality.. and long term sales too. Where as Ubisoft is blitzing the launch because they know Nintendo consoles aren't an easy market.. it's Zelda vs. Everyone else.. I don't mind waiting for excite truck, it'll be a damn sight better than whatever that 4x4 thing is about.

Yeah those DS lite stage ones are very original.. the New Super Mario Bros. ones aren't really very good though. It's like "OMG YOU CAN USE THE TOUCH SCREEN" when the main feature of the game is it is old school Mario. They did have some normal adverts as well though with a guy sitting on a sofa enjoying it. Nintendo advertises quite a lot with Future publishing (FHM springs to mind) but viral marketing is king now.. they should just do some edgey sexy Nintendo viral adverts with the Wii mote akin to the old Channel 4 ones. Where random women would say "Can I touch it" then leaning over to the croth of this guy with a DS. SUICIDEDDDDDDDDDDDD Silly Sony.

QFT LIKE OMG BOYCOTT UBISOFT LOL. I boycotted EA after their Tiger Woods stunt, they fire 700 staff then the next day Tiger Woods get a raise to keep his name on the golf games. Conveniently the number of staff fired is almost directly proportional to the extra millions that golfing fucker got. But this is just as bad! THEY'RE GIVING AWAY A FREEBIE TO MAKE IT WORK BETTER

Ah must be that reverse laser bullshit then. I suppose this is better news.. we'll probably know in the next 2 weeks because if they have to be produced in Japan they'll have to be shipped and produced earlier so Nintendo can meet demand. To stockpile a several million games will talk 2-3 weeks. We can't even know Nintendo titles really.. because they all have to be translated by humanoids. I expect Excite Truck to be there solely because it's got little to no text involved.

We'll know 2 weeks before the system launches.. Nintendo Europe's translation brigade will have to send any finished disc images to the presses in Japan or German (not sure where it's being done this generation as it's on DVD) But at the moment they're probably working to have the same titles as the US and Japanese launch.. it's not easy having to translate to 5 languages. I imagine the text heavy games wont make it (except Zelda) Dissapointment and confusion is one thing Nintendo wants to avoid at Christmas after the bitch slap XBOX got with the 360 launch.
