  1. Yorkie was launched in 1976 to take on brands such as Cadbury’s Dairy Milk and provide a chunkier alternative to the slimmed down Dairy Milk bars. Names originally under consideration for Yorkie included "O’Hara", "Trek" and "Rations". Within two years of its launch, Yorkie topped 13 thousand tonnes and became firmly established as a big, solid, chunky eat, uniquely for men. Advertising reflected this with macho imagery - lorry drivers who take it one chunk at a time. Yorkie still holds these values today but was relaunched in 1994 as a hunger satisfying bar. Yorkie is also the official confectionery sponsor for the FA Premier League and Soccer AM. Throughout the season, Yorkie is advertised on perimeter boards at all FA Premier League matches as well as FA Cup, Worthington Cup, UEFA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup matches involving FA Premier League clubs. Yorkie 'Not For Girls' pack YORKIE - "IT'S NOT FOR GIRLS" In 2001 the Yorkie "It’s Not for Girls" campaign was launched because, in today’s society, there aren’t many things that a man can look at and say that’s for him. (err wtf..) The 'Not For Girls' campaign theme for Yorkie uses humour, which resonates with today’s British male and simply states that Yorkie is positioning itself as a chocolate bar for men who need a satisfying hunger buster. With five solid chunks of chocolate, it’s a man sized eat!
  2. I can say I wouldn't listen to it.. not to be rude but I've already got enough to listen to.. if I had an iPod i probably would stock up on them on there for rainy days but sorry.. my schedule as it were is full. There's only so much games news you can take in a week.. I prefer to get it by reading instead of having it read to me.. plus I think 4cr, 1up, revolution report, IGN and many other sites do a great job already. Personally I only listen to 4cr because they cover the week of Nintendo news in about 5 minutes. but good luck with it.. just thought it would be best for you to get a balanced responce of forum viewers so you know how many listeners you can expect statistically.
  3. I'll try one monday, I can't imagine the combo is great. Quite funny Bill Bailey saying how Kit Kat chunky isn't enough for him so he melts 4 of them together into a classic Kit Kat. I'll co-sign what Odwin said, Hershey bars suck.. it's because they use crap milk in their products.
  4. Totally depends on the mood. but one I always go back to is this one and it's variations (honeycomb especially): Can anyone recommend any fair trade bars that are like really raw flavoured chocolates.. not the refined smooth stuff that we get in the UK? I know the co-op has been stocking some lately.. not tried them though. The nestle double berry/cream/chocolate series was also rather tasty.. quite luxurious for a 45p bar and totally on par with something you'd expect from Thornton's or Lindt. and Milka bars are real tasty too.. I think it's because the milk.. But I think Yorkie remains champion.
  5. Didn't enjoy 10, as a result didn't look at 10 part 2.. and laughed off 11's subscription costs. 12? hmm, my PS2 broke so I would need to buy a new one to play it.. don't really see the point now y'know?
  6. Care to enlighten us as to why?
  7. X O /\ [] is an icon. They wont copy it it's not good press for the PS3.. I think what is more like is they try and sell a PS2 controller that does it. They have the USB ports, it's a pretty powerful system still.. not far what Revolution promises to delivery, and they have it installed in 100 million homes and in the shops at £99 price point. How could that fail? Games.. Nintendo will have better games development, WiFi and the back catalogue. I'd say chances of a Revolution-esque free hand controller for PS2 launching in the near 70% region, chances of one PS3? slim and none.
  8. I don't know enough about the medium to comment on this.. I didn't have a turbo grafx system. But it sounds kinda futile to me, who is still gonna have disks from the 80s? I think starting fresh with a commercial and ultimately reliable download service is much better. I'm more worried about the control scheme and backup security for all these downloaded games tbh.
  9. Yawn at the BigTac debate.. he is just producing sensationalism.. and look at many tabloid newspapers and gossip rags.. they sell 1000s every week despite them offering nothing constructive to the minds of the readers. (on the whole, I know the Sun has some great stuff) However much you argue.. people will believe whatever he says.. because they want it to be true.. they're just deluded and it's almost a vicous cycle. The more he says the more they want to believe it, because he makes generic and broad educated guesses that are often so broad he's always right. Of course something was going to be announced at GDC, but nothing huge a monkey with some chalk could have told us this. Quit arguing and let the people who think BigTac is gospel believe him.. because calling him and idiot or a liar will get your absolutely no where. Just because you don't agree with their rationale doesn't mean you have to duke it out on some internet message board.
  10. On 4colorrebellion you can see 100s of these mockups.. it's not suprising one came close. But this person could have had a little leak because that's rather close indeed.
  11. Oh right, slightly lazy of them.. Never heard of this Phil fella, but I'd never heard of the French Marketing director and he blurted Zelda recoding news so I wont disregard him on reputation alone.. He'll probably have good stuff to say.
  12. http://countdown.pending.be/120/ 1 month, 18 days, 17 hours, 22 minutes, and 53 seconds. at the time of posting.
  13. Premature but I know what Revolution will do.. and tbh, even if it costs the £300 (yes, i know it wont) but i'd still buy it. So really.. pricing, names, box art, don't matter to me. I am only concerned with 1 thing- Games, Miyamoto's new title for a start.. everything else is just a bonus for me. Games for winter DS would be nice too.. I mean.. we know the hardware, we know the infastructure for wifi.. we know almost everything except 1 factor of the system.
  14. Apparently the organiser of GDC is totally biggin' up what Iwata and Ken have to say.. whether this is just him hyping up based on an educated guess or whether he has actually seen the notes or rehearsals of what is going to be shown or something is not for me to say. I'm guessing a fair amount of work goes into a keynote presentation and speakers will need to provide media for the event in advance so it can be set up. If Nintendo did so chances are the organiser has been handling this secret media personally. I am thinking something good will come from Iwata's speech.
  15. I've played Sonic enough, let's see something new. I'm all for this game being made. As for credibility I can't comment because I've never followed the politics of Sega.. mainly because I am not really interested in their offerings of the last 5 years.
  16. Revolution will change the way we look at television in general because it has become habitual for us over the last 60 odd years for us to push a button.. and for something to happen. Now we don't have to push a button to play.. we can move in 3D space with the Revolution FHC. And something new will happen.. that's a pretty big thing, for anyone to comprehend. My granparents asked me how I rewind a DVD the other day.. it's gonna be a Revolution of that kalibre. This tells us nothing.. Seriously we need to give up trying to interpret what Shiguero, Reggie and Satoru say.. because they love teasing us.. it's like watching a dog salivate and not giving it your crust of your toast until you're done. If Revolution's secret was guessable they would not have told us there was a Revolutionary secret.. simple as that. Wait until E3
  17. Kav, the gyro thing emulates a mouse, end of the day the TV size is irrelevant.. it is still emulating the movements of a mouse on a 2D plane. You simply adjust the mouse sensitivity as you'd know if you played any PC based FPS.. If he wanted to rest his wrist down why doesn't he? Because you don't get as accurate flow then.. because you'd have to up the mouse sensitivity too. Laziness = Inaccuracy.. I will use my Free Hand Controller Freely, like in the promo Revolution video. I don't really want to argue.. I know that games will be more enjoyable without restricting yourself.
  18. More better rewarding games to spend my time on than this one.
  19. Yes after it's posted around on some Revolution forums it goes up almost 15%, how convincing. I think Nintendo will take half share in Japan, a quarter share in America and a third in Europe. But that could all go exponentially in favour of Nintendo if they crack the ice if the Blue Ocean. Of course this is all up in the air.. whether Sony meet the November deadline.
  20. Just look at this. See his arm moving..? That's what we'll be doing..
  21. Sony lost me, when my £300 (launch) PS2 broke after I had just purcahsed about 4 great games to play on it.. which now sit unappreciated. I was a hardcore Sony gamer.. have been since the 1st day the PS1 launched with Wipeout.. but they lost me when the PSP got delayed 6 months but still didn't meet demand, launched with a piss poor selection of games and they still try and rip us off charging that much. Nintendo came along with the DS and Mario Kart.. they announced the Revolution and I'm now a convert.. I haven't played Nintendo since the original GameBoy with Tetris and the NES. (i only had Mario Bros/Duck hunt) I just can't afford the cool factor that Sony are selling anymore. PS3 wont cost more than £500 and games wont cost more than £50. Simple as that.. but I have a sneaky suspicion that it will be about that. Blu Ray movies? I'm happy with DVDs.. the quality is fine and I can't afford nor do I want a HD televison, seeing as they use up to 60% more electricity than a comparable standard definition television. That's ethical use of electricity.. what happened to global warming?
  22. Animal Crossing would be lovely.. but they really have to tweak the formula enough so that it offers something new besides a flowin game economy and ecology and junk online. Think of all the hating people would do if it was completely open. I'd love to see it.. but there needs to be protection and the economy would need to be strictly regulated.
  23. Quoted for truth.. this is not anything amazing.. I didn't enjoy the train track style gameplay of Full Spectrum Warrior.. to the extent where I played it for an hour and thought screw this. I was quite excited when I saw it advertised.. but end of the day it was pretty piss poor. I'll gladly listen to what ideas they have but I wont get the wallet out until I've rented any title that comes out of that studio.. I think they would be more at home on xbox really.
  24. Chill winston, I read this "Reggie stated a few weeks back that the Rev controller would only work with Rev games. " and assumed the standard proprietary medium for Revolution games was DVD. It's not that big of a deal.
  25. It's to do with blood flow man.. and gravity. We don't have to do much work to play a current game.. all the work is done by 2 thumbs and 2 fingers.. and obviously a bit more with keyboards but not huge amount of muscle work. Muscles need oxygen and energy to function.. to contract and move.. the ones for typing are pretty weak, they don't move much and that's why we don't get fatigued. Free hand controller will not just use out fingers and thumbs.. but also our biceps and triceps, pectorals and others to allow the pointing and basic swaying movements. Many games will take advantage of this.. Like you, I will prefer to play simpler one handed games without the nunchuka and require little to no effort to move.. maybe just an A/B point game. To get a real fully flowing aiming and exploring experience from FPS games and perhaps some others we'll be working harder than the PS2 equivalent. If we tested 2 average healthy people I bet someone would last far longer playing constantly on the PS2/Xbox in 1 genre of a game (FPS) compared to Revolution. We'd get lactic acid build up like we do exercise.. I am happy to not be able to play Metroid for 6 hour sessions.. that's not a healthy lifestyle really. I'd be happy to play an active game in an hour session really.
