  1. 2. It's a home console game and very few do well in Japan these days...even SMG and MK were relatively slow to begin with but as usual with Nintendo games, they're slowly burning away in the background and Wario Land will undoubtedly be the same. Portable game = hit, home console= meh.
  3. Be jealous...be VERY jealous See my later post for all the links
  4. Okay, I'll take a few when it's lighter tomorrow and do it like Monsieur Murray here. That's a nice bunch of hard-to-finds there young man! Here's my pride and joy in that department: http://www.gamekyo.com/media4823.html
  5. My son got me started on these for collecting and swapping purposes. I got really into it very quickly and the pull of "first edition" cards was the final straw! I ended up buying two boxes of 36 packs just to make sure of completing the particular set bar a few shinies. The rest I used to haul down to the car boot sale and fend off the hoards of youngsters ready to throw their pocket money at me. So now I have 9 complete sets from the very first and except for the base set, they're all first edition! You want pics...I got pics!!
  6. Usually I'd say that was a great price for a small screen notebook but I would imagine "nan" might find the text a tad tiny for her taste/failing eyesight. [/stereotype] EDIT: Ha, took too long over my reply to get my point in first but I'm glad I'm not alone in what I thought!
  7. This one on Amazon sounds pretty reasonable but I don't know how reliable they are at this sort of price. The specs. are fairly good for the money though.
  8. That poor fawn is pitiful...that blasted physics game is ridiculously addictive!
  9. Oh boo! I was so looking forward to using that picture effectively...lol!
  10. Okay, that's one busy-looking cover! Best looking game box I've seen in a long while! The contents look worthy of it too; let's hope the fun lasts long enough.
  11. Well, whatever you do, don't try to beat him on anything other than easy mode first off. You shouldn't have a problem if you pick good aerial attackers like Kirby, Meta Knight, Rob, Pit, Link and Yoshi. Learn WHEN he is going to attack and be prepared to either evade or shield. Then count 4 times from when he first re-appears and go in for your biggest hits. Jigglypuff is a natural for this but you won't have got her yet if this is your first go.
  12. I think you may have got the gender expectancy in the way of your enjoyment of this franchise. Yes they did show girls playing WW moreso than males but I found a lot more males interested in the gardening aspects of flower arranging for hybrids than girls! Like in real life, there's more male gardeners and cooks than female, you see? Plus there's the fishing matches, or even just for fun when you call up your mates and tell them it's raining and come get your coelecanth! Then there's the tiling aspect which many people went to great lengths with by turning their towns into game-themed areas. It was a great online success inspite of people having laggy connections and if people saved at regular intervals, nobody lost out.
  13. Yeah, I did my "lengths" on the pirate ship level but anyone with water in it will do. You can check your progress in the data records for group brawls by pressing A twice and checking the stats for each character that you've used. The sim distance is right near the end. Oh and be careful that you don't drown, coz you can if you don't jump out in time! Don't stay in one place either or it won't count.
  14. Oops! Still getting used to the many diverse locations on this forum! My apologies for any apparent misapprehension sir!
  15. Presuming you're buying from this site then be careful with import duties and power supply. I'd feel much more comfortable getting something of that size and expense from somewhere closer to home. Amazon have some acceptable 19" Acer monitors for around the same price and it's free delivery from them.
  16. Try using this site to test both.
  17. Like most will say, it's just a matter of making a circuit the first time and then buzzing through ( preferably on easy, why hard first time? ) when all the faces of enemies you need to confront show up on the map. Come on, you must have played Metroid before and there's easily more back-tracking in those games! It's part of the game and there's a challenge trophy to collect for your trouble, so if you want to complete the game as far as possible, then it' essential to at least finish it once...you don't get anything for 100% so don't worry if you miss a few first time through. As you say, you can always refer to gamefaqs, AFTER your first completion to get any stray exclusive trophies. You always strike me as a tough-talking kinda bloke, so stop being such a wuss over this! :p
  18. Okay, the more coins you have, the longer you'll be able to stay in the Coin Launcher, therefore having a better chance of picking up rarer trophies "in the later stages" of your session. So, no, it doesn't reset for every Blast Away...it will probably help if you complete at least 2 BA moments though.
  19. Yes, best method of control as far as precision is concerned and limiting the possibility of running over your own flower beds! I always tried to make my neighbours the best of friends because my favourite event was always the flea market and I used to save up expensive bugs and fish that I'd caught, cleared out my house, and kept them all in the different rooms so that I could just bring them in ready for the next animal. Fossils were good sellers and even the odd gyroid was handy to make up the numbers. For the best neighbour relationships you could get nearly 3 times the normal selling price!
  20. Yup, that was pretty much it!
  21. Taken directly from the SSBB Dojo: The Coin Launcher is set up so that there is a low probability of trophies appearing that you haven’t yet collected. By defeating little groups of enemies you raise the likelihood of new uncollected trophies appearing. Therefore, trying to be sneaky and bailing out without trying to shoot down missiles or enemies will only end up hurting your chances of completing your collection. So the more coins you have, the more ships you can down and the better your chances of getting trophies and stickers that you haven't already got the longer you play the Coin Launcher.
  22. In case nobody has already mentioned it, you can use nunchuck control for moving your character but it's unlikely they will have GC or Classic controller compatibility.
  23. If you use the official dongle then the PC will have to be on at the same time as the Wii, so why not get a simple Buffalo router and it'll be a cynch to set up unless you're miles away from the broadband connection.
  24. Things start drying up around the 350 mark but if you save up your coins, you will get rarer trophies/stickers in the later stages. The green guage just tells you when to expect a "Blast Away" moment.
  25. Had a quick look around and it seems like it's something to do with there being too many cookies being sent to the a/d. Try manually deleting a few at a time from the cache or wherever you can and see if that helps.
