It would appear that you need to do a firmware update for your SMART Array and at some stage do a server reboot.

Having to sell my US. one and just confirmed today that all my save data is useless! Played it solid for a good 5 weeks but will gladly do the same again. Jigglypuff is definitely a useful character in the right areas. Particularly the final confrontation in the S-E.

Ha, yes, but they're only tagged in my quote and not in the original post! People will still prefer to not know certain things about the game though, so you should keep them separate for at least a little longer. I'm sure there will be people who won't get it until a birthday or others may not play as often to get all the unlockables as quickly as those posting their inclusion, n'est-ce pas? -

Absolutely...the people who had genuinely fast times by racing properly must be gutted! I can't think of a way to avoid the situation though as there always seems to be a way around it. It would take a lot of time to put invisible barriers around every course where these sort of "mega shortcuts" could be performed.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (100% Spoiler-Free Topic)

If you think that the clones are exact replicas, then you're mistaken...they all have unique/individual abilities/moves which are able to make them stand out as different. People need to be a little less hyper-critical and remember that there are plenty of average gamers out there who don't require perfection in a game to make it playable and enjoyable. -

You'll be in the vast minority then...but fear not, it will grow on you! Use the SE adventure mode and unlock the characters more quickly and then see how you feel. Also there's a squillion other reasons to like it, not least of all the trophy acquisition method and shere quantity of challenges which can't be achieved in 5 minutes. What I'd like to know is if US. save files work on the PAL version. I suspect they will personally but others aren't so optimistic. -
Been watching far too much Britain/America/Australia's got talent lately and came accross this group ( this is the longer version ). Hope you like it if you haven't already seen it. Try to catch the vids of Shift-1 from the same show ( Australia ).

Forgive me if I'm preaching to the converted but when you type a website into your address bar, you have to make sure that you put the www. bit infront of it or it won't load anything. I've noticed even in the Google toolbar that if you click on an actual site suggestion without the www. showing that it will behave the same too.

It appears that this feature has also been removed from the Wii version, sadly. Having said that, there are quite a lot of methods to accumulate the Fangs during gameplay.
-
There's no reason, AFIK, for you to believe that you have lost your save data too, just because the game won't load. Have you tried the double boot on the FL again, to see if that works? Anyway, I reckon the PAL version will still work off your NTSC. game save data as it would have done in the past

Ah yes, I had a feeling there was a catch! I had linked my Wii to the Club Nintendo section long before the conversion eventually surfaced, so it was automatic for me and many others no doubt. I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to obtain Wii points with stars, with or without the link, for the advantage we've mentioned.
-
Well it's good that they're varying the challenges and this is clearly the longest-lasting! The last one was a bit too quick really although it takes a few goes to realise it. I like this one because it involves pure driving skill to get a fast time and not having to rely on not getting walloped with an item. Got my time down to 1:58.7 but can't cope with the manual and went back to auto for it once I discovered I was using the mushroom boosts in the wrong place. I edited my previous post to reflect the better option.

Yes indeed, Retro_Link, seeing as your stars will buy you a Wii point CODE which is kept in a list until such time as you can use it, you are free to get as many points as your stars will allow or you manage to spot! No, they don't last long but 200 people ( per group of cards ) clearly find them at some stage. As noted in the other topic about stars going out, some were spotted nearly every day/night, so it just requires a little extra effort/patience.
-
I think R_L's point is that he has quite a few stars to use up but can't buy any Wii points with them because he's not online with his Wii console and hence his stars are pretty much useless otherwise. If you could buy a points card in the Stars Cat. the code of which could be sent to you by email, then people could at least keep their codes until they were online...right?
-
Ah, I thought this was the first time they'd had it on the site, my apologies. As for the synching thing, you have to be online because your shop account is on your Wii and only accessible therefrom and your stars account is online at nintendo.co.uk, so they can only "talk" to each other via the internet.
-
That sounds rather a long time, I'm sure you could do better! I used Funky Kong in either the Aeroglider or the Flame Flyer, so if you haven't tried that combo, I'm sure you could improve your times with it. If you're using manual, I would take the path with the zippers on to the right after the first section as it offers a good chance of max boost.

I sleepily updated early this morning without thinking and only when I checked here did I find out the error of my ways! The FL is automatically blocked on the first insertion whether or not it is placed in the console when off or when the Wii menu is displayed, prompting you to turn off the console before you can proceed. Therefore any hope of the double-insertion which was used for the initial Brawl update becomes impossible. Let's hope Datel bring out some kind of counter-measure for this.

"I've been watching you Norman..." I like to make sure I know a clear route to the loo at night, as it's always pretty dark and I daren't wake anyone else up with the light on. Even so, I have my arms outstretched just in case because there's nothing worse than not making contact with a recognised surface to make you imagine you're gonna clout your head any second.
-
I'm sure you're not alone in your plight but the vast majority of Wii owners WILL be online and clearly Nintendo are catering for them with a view that if you ain't online, you cain't download no games anyhow! You must have a friend who's online, so why not pop over to his place and get your Wii set up on his broadband connection and do your downloading there for now. If you're in the position where your stars are going to be deleted, then you may have to consider a sleepover in order to get some Wii points with your stars...lol!
-
I feel your pain...lol! I was quite tempted by that keyring, being completely in love with the game even now, but I have to save my Wii points for Wii Ware! This Stars bonus thing may encourage people to register their stars earlier, rather than do like me ( and possibly you too perhaps ) and store old star cards until they're needed! This is usually the wise thing to do in the light of recent panic about stars being deleted, so maybe it's a sign that Nintendo nintendto have more items/points available in the future.
-
Couldn't see anything else posted about this, so here goes. You will soon be able to get an EXTRA 50 stars for registering certain games if you add a bonus icon to your account. This will be for certain games that you know you will get on release or quite near it ( within 2 weeks ). Check the official website for details. Initial games are the new Mystery Dungeon ones, Cooking Guide DS, and Smash Bros. Brawl. Kinda makes up for not getting the free 5 stars each day I suppose!
-
As I mentioned earlier, you'll be less frustrated if you just hold down the Z button before you swing/flick/draw with the "brush" especially on the enemies who offer their instruments as target practice! You won't get more than about 3 attempts at getting them to drop the "death throes" items, so you need to be quick. As for learning techniques, it's likely that your timing is out rather than their being a recognition problem, especially if it's the ones where you have to do several swipes in a row. Alter the timing to one which is swift but smooth and you should be okay. You can practice to your heart's content whilst in the Dojo, so make sure you've got it sorted before you leave.

Sounds a bit obvious but are your two systems compatible with the software, ie, are you both in possession of Apple machines? You could always check the websites for install faqs.
