  1. EBAY it!, you'll get more money guaranteed.
  2. You think well see yet another installment of this party game franchise on the Wii with say simulated dice rolling where you actually shake the Wii mote as if you're rolling a dice in your hand followed by a flick as if you're letting the dice go like you do in a real board game?
  3. I hope Twilight Princess and/or other Wii games outscore these sorts of games in reviews. http://ps3.ign.com/objects/748/748483.html
  4. Mods, ban this user please, this persons ruining the side template of the forum page and its rather annoying, hes done it in a number of topic posts. It seems rather deliberate to me with this ridiculous name that goes to very maximum with character limits. What liquids you think Link will be able to drink in this game?
  5. This is exactly what i've been referring to in my previous post, this is the general public perception of PS3 vs Wii, no one, absolutely no one is saying that the PS3 isn't worth the money, only thats its too expensive. The Wii on the other hand, people are not only saying its too expensive, but its not worth the money with inferior graphics and gimmicky features that are available on the more expensive consoles. LARGE PRICE ON PS3 = DISASTER FOR NINTENDO.
  6. Nintendo should be concerned and heres why: So many people are complaining about the price of Wii and its accessories particularly the controller and nunchuck and going on about how the hardware isn't good enough to justify the price of the console as its essentially a gamecube 1.5. Yet the PS3 is twice as expensive as a Wii and most people are only complaining about the price, not the actual hardware, how many people are actually saying that the PS3 has got crap hardware and is not worth the money, no one. Virtually no one has said that the Wii is legitimately a better console than PS3. The only reason a majority people aren't buying a PS3 and are a getting a Wii instead is simply because of the price, this in itself says alot about the public perception of Wii and it isn't good. All it'll take is one large price drop from the PS3 and RIP Wii.
  7. Heres a random forum message from the Wii IGN boards, plenty of criticism for the Wii, what are your thoughts?: IDEAL: on launch day Nintendo has hundreds, perhaps thousands of titles available to download through the Virtual Console service. And many of them support multiplayer. Afterall, with a bit of poking around you can find thousands of ROMS on the internet, and then use tunnelling software to get effective multiplay going with them REALITY: nintendo plans 60 titles at launch. An embarrassment. The whole appeal of this service was that you could look back and cheaply obtain games which you missed out on at the time, games that aren't universal classics but which appeal to you personally. I wanted to get hold of Aliens 3, Vigilante 8 II, Space Station Silicon Valley, Command and Conquer 64 (was there a starcraft too?), F-18 games... but it looks like Nintendo is once again keeping it in the family and our choice will be extremely limited. Mario Bros, Mario Kart, etc etc IDEAL: Wii has people playing TOGETHER. That's why it's called Wii. As in WE, THE PEOPLE. IT'S THE REVOLUTION, BABY REALITY: you'll have to shell out £45 for each new controller, and even then the only multiplayer game (except Wii Sports/Play) on the horizon is Smash Bros, which guess what, doesn't use THAT controller, so you'll need to spend another £15 each on cube or classic controllers. Oh and if you were hoping for some online gaming, lol, fuhgeddaboutit. ONLY online game even announced is Pokemon (wont even be live action probably), which wont come out until 2007, oh and the developers haven't even been given instructions on how to make WiFi games. The Wii will have about as much online support as the Swiss Family Robinson got. Even though they're sitting on a pile of potential online smash hits and it's really not very difficult to provide online gaming IDEAL: when you see the graphics, you will definitely think WOW! REALITY: when you see the graphics, you will definitely think WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD THING TO SACRFICE GRAPHICAL HORSEPOWER IN ORDER TO HAVE A QUIET SMALL SLEEK AND SEXY UNIT, I'M A F**&*^G IDIOT. IDEAL: nintendo are trying to expand the gaming market REALITY: nintendo are trying to reclaim their traditional market: kids and kiddie people IDEAL: Wii will open up a new world of web surfing from the comfort of your couch REALITY: nintendo wont get its act together to allow you to connect your own peripherals and storage devices. Overpriced short-stocked official peripherals ahoy! Not to mention, reading web pages from a TV screen that isn't HD will be a real pain. At best i'm hoping for a custom email client that presents your mail in a readable format, so you can quickly fire up the Wii and check your email during commercial breaks IDEAL: Wii will be the king of FPS games REALITY: the Wiimote in the end is actually worse than dual analogue. Trying to turn round corners will remind an entire generation of LSD. Add the lack of online support and most FPS fans will plump for another console IDEAL: Nintendo will provide many updates via Connect24, episodic content, new maps and such, as well as allowing users to trade their own game content. REALITY: Nintendo doesn't do anything that doesn't provide immediate profit for them. They wont support games that have already been released. Plus they're control freaks, so they're not likely to let users design maps and trade them. IDEAL: Nintendo will put the Gamecube debacle behind them by providing a steady supply of AAA titles, rather than a 'dearth of activity' after launch. REALITY: That's what they said when the Gamecube replaced the N64. This will be no different. Mario wont arrive until fall 2007. Smash Bros will make it by spring or earlier but it's just a stupid franchise beatem'up, not a proper game in my books. What we have at launch is nothing to shout about anyway, the headline act is a gamecube game with tacked on controls which will probably end up butchering a highly anticipated title (the cube version has already been savaged by the delays and the removal of widescreen support). Metroid Prime 3 has already been delayed, but it's an embarrassment of a game anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Retro desintegrate after it flops, hack develepors are replacable, and Retro will no doubt reform under a different banner and carry on making Turok rehashes.
  8. Nintendos focus strategy with their games has ultimately been the determinant for their success in the past few generations, particularly gamecube where they simply didn't meet the majority of consumers demands with the sorts of games they made, hence why PS2 was such a success. They seem to be heading in the right direction with Wii, making different software and not having as much reliance on their existing franchises. Nintendo should definitely be worried though, it seems as though the only reason people aren't buying a PS3 is because of the price, not because they legitimately believe the Wii is a better console. As soon as the PS3 has a major price cut BAM 100,000,000+ units will be sold, RIP Wii, simple as that.
  9. No, I was referring to the fact that this omission, even though relatively minor compare to the recent announcements [Rip off pricing to some consumers] this could possibly be the icing on the cake for a lot of potential Wii buyers to not buy the system and thats why I said millions of dollars of revenue COULD be lost. Perhaps people will just accept all of the sytems shortcomings and invest into a new gameplay experience as a second console of choice. I do admit, Nintendo systems are more durable than any other, chances are, a Wii will last you a life time, Xbox 360 has been proven to be unreliable and PS3 is bound to follow suit.
  10. Agree with what they say in just about all respects, with the exception of a few little things that have already been mentioned in this forum topic.
  11. Not too much otherwise Zelda will suffer from over-lag. BALANCE is the key, just like it is for life itself.
  12. :horse: Millions of dollars of potential revenue down the drain due another stupid decision made by Nintendo and they've been plenty in this past month. PS3 gaining momentum with everyday that goes by.
  13. Incorrect.
  14. The closet thing well see to Guitar Hero on Wii is Wii Orchestra, but its still a remote possibility, just don't keep your hopes up.
  15. On Amazon.com.
  16. Wii would seriously benefit with GTA games, simple as that. This franchise sells and SELLS A LOT. The sales figures below says it all: Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2 - 14.36 million) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2 - 13.58 million) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2 - 13.47 million) [PC & versions excluded] 41,410,000,000 copies of GTA games approximately have been sold on PS2 alone. I will buy GTA on Wii if Rockstar Taketwo decides to bring versions onto Wii and I virtually never buy multiplatform games, but if this becomes a reality, I will happily make an exception, providing it does well with review of course. SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best_selling_computer_and_video_games <-- But I remember seeing this on an official site somewhere, just don't recall the link.
  17. A cheap substitute for Pilotwings this game is... I'd like to see a real follow up for Pilotwings eventually.
  18. Is that Red Steel boxart official? I don't like it, looks amateurish mainly due to the fact the tip of the sword goes right down to the edge, there should be a small gap between the tip of the sword and the edge. It could also be that due to resizing etc, the slight bluriness makes it look less desirable compared to the Spongbob box art which is obviously a Hi Res pic. I prefer the Spongebob box art of the two, just personal opinion though.
  19. RESURRECT THIS GAME NOW RETRO!
  20. Some TVs have a tendancy to lag with fast movements like a game of real tennis on TV, its rather annoying.
  21. For what Nintendo has been saying about Twilight Princess being "perfect" and the fact that Windwaker got scores around and close to 96%, I would think that, getting below Wind Wakers aggregate score would in fact be a disgrace. You could say there is greater expectation with this game seeing that its on a new console and with new consoles comes greater expectations from its games and therefore a lower score is justified, but Twilight Princess at heart is a Gamecube game and Wii pretty much has enhanced gamecube hardware. Sure the score difference will come from the experimental controller, but its practically a port, the Wii versions controls shouldn't be an issue whatsoever but they are.... I guess it comes down to this. If Z:TP scores 9.7 or greater in average reviews, i'll purchase, otherwise, i'm not buying it, i'm not buying a game when it promised so much but turns out to be less than spectacular.
  22. I hope the game is as polished as this boxart, other than the top white bit with the Wii logo which is mediocre at best. PLEASE NINTENDO, FIX THE SWORD FIGHTING ISSUES!!!!!! --> The adjustable difficulty would be a bonus, but not essential. I wouldn't be too fussed if it isn't included. I JUST WANT THE SWORD MECHANICS TO NOT BE A GIMMICK BUT SOMETHING THAT TRULY ENHANCES THE GAMEPLAY OF TWILIGHT PRINCESS AND IS NOT F****N BUGGY, IM NOT PAYING $110 FOR NOTHING, I HAVEN'T WAITED 3 YEARS FOR A LESS THAN PERFECT PIECE OF SOFTWARE AND NINTENDO YOU BETTER F****N DELIVER!!!!!! Feel free to "reassure me" that the game will be of masterful proportions, [i.E. worthy of getting 10/10 from IGN and other related sites]. On another note, that blind kid that got a copy of Twilight Princess, is that the final retail version, does that mean what was shown at the NYC event is an accurate representation of the final game, NO BETTER be the answer... IN RELATION TO THE SWORD FIGHTING MECHANICS. Somone in the US has gotta go and break into that kids home and steal that copy of Twilight Princess so we can get an idea before its release as to whether the issues with the game have been corrected or not. Heres hoping... EVERYONE, if this game does poorly with reviews, as in getting below 9.7 average score at THE ABSOLUTE LOWEST, we shall all give this topic 1 star ratings and drop that 5 star rating, as it will NOT BE WORTHY of a 5 star rating. I am only bitching on about the quirks of this game as I want it to be the BEST zelda game EVER.
  23. A Super Mario Galaxy Bundle is an absolute must. http://media.wii.ign.com/media/748/748588/img_3643943.html Notice that surreal blue shimmering light that appears in just about every screen shot of Super Mario Galaxy, it resembles the blue light on the Wii console and notice how the sky is mostly black. You guessed it, Super Mario Galaxy should release in a Special Edition Bundle, where you get a BLACK Wii Console and a Super Mario Galaxy game, Black console, blue light at front of console, goes really well together.
  24. My concerns that I have posted several times have now been confirmed. I'm willing to put a substantial sum of money [a bet] that Z:TP will suffer in reviews with the control scheme for the Wii version being buggy [after giving it some thought and trying to be more leniant towards possible flaws my predicition for a score is still 8.8/10,] it has now substantially dropped from my anticipation list. F****N fix it Nintendo! Otherwise i'm 100% guaranteed not buying this game EVER as I know I will notice every single flaw and feel disappointed every time I play it, "Its good, but could've been so much better and I wasted $100 on an average game at best when it was said it was going to be the best zelda game ever". FINGERS CROSSED THEY WILL FIX these controller issues, otherwise, no purchase. NINTENDO PROVE ME WRONG, PROVE ME WRONG, BLOW US AWAY WITH AT THE VERY LEAST, THE THIRD BEST GAME EVER RELEASED. --> Will change subject to END RESULT or will escalate if this becomes a reality which it SHOULDN'T. Zelda: Twilight Princess 8.8/10 <-- [Mostly due to buggy sword mechanics] Red Steel - 7.3/10 <-- [Mostly due to buggy controls all together hampering gameplay significantly] Metroid Prime <-- 8.9/10 [Mostly due to most controller schemes other than expert being buggy and hampering gameplay when anything other than expert configuration is used] Super Mario Galaxy 9.0/10 <-- [Due to linerarity and lack of MASSIVE environments, small clusters of planets will get boring] but... I reckon Super Smash Bros Brawl will be the highest scoring Wii game at least in the short term of games released on the Wii early in its life due to using a more traditional controller.
  25. 1) Super Mario Galaxy 2) Metroid Prime: Corruption 3) Super Smash Bros Brawl 4) Zelda: Twilight Princess 5) Red Steel
