Opera Wii - temporary free until June 2007 (All regions)
solitanze replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
How did it feel holding such a long controller? Was there any difficulty in actually playing games with it? ON TOPIC: Browser i'll get 100% guaranteed, nice bonus. But how will it compare to a normal internet browser? & Will you able to access any website on it, including adult material? I certainly won't be doing looking at this sort of material as I don't do it on my computer, but some kids might just get the idea of playing with both their Wiis at the same time... -
It appears not, I don't think any Nintendo representative has said that the Classic Controller shown is indeed the final design. Modifications can still be made, but nothing major, expect something very similar if not exactly the same to what we've seen.
-
I'm also in agreement with Nintendork. 2-1 thus far.
-
The ultimate design for the Classic controller is not to have a fixed cable like they currently have, but to have a double headed USB connection [the tip that snaps into the Wiimote] but on both sides, meaning that you can have the Classic Controller completely wireless while playing games not requiring the Wiimote so you don't have this cord sticking out making it akward, yet also having the option of connecting it back to the Wiimote if there are special games that use the motion technology in the Wiimote.
-
It is wireless in the sense that you don't connect it to a controller port, but just like the Nunchuck attachment, a wire is used to connect it to the Wiimote. So basically, if you playing a VC game, you'd have the Wiimote stationary on the side while you play that game.

SOLUTION: Poll? No CHEATING with multiple user accounts to vote for YOUR STANCE.

Wired pads are so 1990s.

Yes it'll work after all the console is built predominately around gamecube hardware so why wouldn't it work? There shouldn't be any interference with the Bluetooth signals. Also the side flap where the gamecube controller ports are located folds back in such a way that it goes flat so it does not block the RF transmittor so you're free to plug in the RF transmittor and use the Wavebird controller, this was definitely confirmed somewhere, can't quite recall where though... The only thing i'm no so sure about is whether if you plug in 4 wired GC controllers into the Wii ports, and the console is standing vertically, will it remain stable. It wouldn't look too good, it'll take away from the sleek design of the Wii.

Cooking Mama: Cooking with International Friends
solitanze replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Do you think you'll get to slay live animals in the game? For example having a fresh chicken and slaying its neck in the sink, plucking its feathers, removing its organs and then putting it in the open or a deep frier? -
Square could make a new Super Mario RPG game, follow up to Legend Of The Seven Stars on SNES seeing that were only getting a Paper Mario platformer at the moment, not a true paper mario game. The title, Super Mario RPG: The Curse Of HD.

Absolutely stunning that Downhill Jam image is. Guaranteed 10/10 for graphics. Should have blood on his hands though, seeing that hes grazing it on the concrete while speeding down a hill.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
solitanze replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Just asking for clarification purposes, with this new control scheme [i.E. Swinging the Wiimote for sword slashes], is that the only way you're able to slash the sword now in the game or can you use both buttons and swinging the Wiimote interchangably? -
Opera Wii - temporary free until June 2007 (All regions)
solitanze replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Anyone have one of these? If anyone has the original box and all other relevant documentation and its perfect working condition, i'll buy it for 1000 pounds. ---------- -
Is Downhill Jam on PS3 as well? If so guaranteed NO PURCHASE, save myself $50 and can go and buy another Wii exclusive.
-
Is this official? Check out the nice little suprise in the corner. Another possible official boxart: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B000G7T7JC/ref=dp_image_0/102-7351632-1920934?ie=UTF8&n=468642&s=videogames That's more like it, the original one posted was horrible, but what are those dirt lines, I assume this is from the scanner?

If this has been covered already, feel free to LOCK this thread. I was randomly browsing the internet and stumbled across these articles, detailing Nintendos current business model and why they have a better chance than ever to win this current generation of console wars: http://thewiikly.zogdog.com/article.php?article=34&ed=3&p=1 http://thewiikly.zogdog.com/article.php?article=42&ed=4 ENJOY!

Nintendo should tell Kojima to GO TO HELL
solitanze replied to darthbane2k's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Certainly is, along with MGS the series as a whole. Mario, the equivalent of Bill gates in videogames is seriously underappreciated these days, hopefully Galaxy can win back some people... -
Nintendo should tell Kojima to GO TO HELL
solitanze replied to darthbane2k's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Thats business. Simple Summary: SONY = MOST MONEY IN TERMS OF UNITS SOLD $$$ <-- Games here. NINTENDO = LEAST MONEY IN TERMS OF UNITS SOLD $$$ <-- Games not here. Although both these companie haven't even release their consoles yet and it looks like things are already shifting in Nintendos favour, so your dream may just become a reality. -
Nintendo should tell Kojima to GO TO HELL
solitanze replied to darthbane2k's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Probably as part of the contactual agreement, Konami would have the option to develop ports/spin off games on other consoles, but the games in the official series would remain exclusive to Sony consoles, of course, thats purely an assumption on my part. -
Nintendo should tell Kojima to GO TO HELL
solitanze replied to darthbane2k's topic in Nintendo Gaming
As its already been stated, the core reason for Kojima being loyal to Sony is due to contractual obligation, but with this initial reason has come a strong support base with millions of units of each installment in the Metal Gear Solid series being sold, TRANSLATION $$$MONEY$$$ AND LOTS OF IT. With this continually growing support base consisting of predominately Sony enthusiasts is the expectation that the next installment in the series will surpass that of the previous game and everytime it has, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. Some people are actually complaining about the current graphics of MGS4 on PS3, if this were on the Wii, we'd hear never ending criticism and poor sales would follow. This next installment [MGS4 on PS3] has to do poorly with reviews and have a detrimental effect on sales for there to be any chance in the world whatsoever of a new MGS game coming to a Nintendo console to revive the series and make up for the previous lackluster game, but chances of these circumstances occuring are extremely unlikely. Expect new and original game concepts from Kojima, but no Metal Gear Solid, at least not in its official form. -

Thats the beauty of Snake being included in Smash Bros you [the thread starter] should be absolutely thrilled with this, you can kick his ass to high heaven over and over again, making him statistically the worst ranked character in your version of Smash Bros Brawl. "TAKE THAT SNAKE WHERES YOUR F****N GAYSTATION3 NOW HUH!?" Relieve your frustration that way. -

Expect the originals [Metal Gear & Snakes Revenge - NES] on the VC perhaps with novelty Wii mote controls at the very most. -
That has just about as much a chance of becoming a reality as Mii Sex being a minigame in Wii Sports.
