If this were true, it'd probably would be a special edition where the scroll wheel is in fact a good old oversized D pad, very nostalgic. This could be true to an extent, especially with the virtual console support, It was quoted somewhere that Nintendo were considering pre paid cards to buy VC games, and Apple offer these cards with buying MP3s, videos etc, could offer a new category with VC Wii games...

Very positive Wii article in Sun Newspapaer Australia
solitanze replied to small tac's topic in Nintendo Gaming
To a tee... Good article, encouraging signs, hopefully this will continue and ultimately translate into sales as Nintendos reputation has had a serious hiding downunder recently [The console market that is, Handheld supremecy still remains] with GC almost being non existant and/or being ridiculed by Playstation fanatics aplenty. On an unrelated note, I am very much looking forward to the follow up for this creation... -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)

Have they 100% GUARANTEED changed their minds again not allowing for full swinging of the Wii mote as your sword, or is it just a mistake from the poster? -

Two suggestions as I am unable to make animated versions... Samus appears behind stick guy, uses grappling beam, stick guy grabs onto her, he get turns on by Samus and starts humping her from behind while suspended in mid air, shrugs him off and falls to his doom. A similar one could also be done with Link and his hook shot, seeing that Link was featured in a gay magazine recently. Another idea, Captain Falcon appears from behind, Captain Falcon yells out FALCON PUNCH!, the stick guy turns around and CF delivers a falcon punch right to the body, sends him flying to the other side and splats on the opposing wall.

Is this 100% GUARANTEED? The link isn't working... If this along with the sacrifice of DVD playback is true, Nintendo better justify the omission of these features and perhaps others with a "CHEAP PRICE".

Has the Wiimote got a microphone in it? Well even so, i'm sure there will be an accessory such as a headset or attachment at the bottom of the Wiimote for a microphone as I suspect that the Kirby Game that was supposed to be released on GCN will be released on Wii instead and for Kirby to blow up, you need to puff [blow] into the microphone as if you're actually supplying the air, and maybe even suck in air as well to suck up enemies and absorb their abilities.

Good morning... [Rest Of Release not posted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The errors of missing of a "full stop" in the last sentence and the repeating of Davids name twice, caps off what PS3 diehard consumers will think of this PAL PS3 delay, UNACCEPTABLE, and therefore may just work in Wiis favour.

http://www.scee.presscentre.com/Content/Detail.asp?ReleaseID=4268&NewsAreaID=2 <-- From original thread in Other Consoles. Press Releases 06/09/2006 06:40 Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Announces New March 2007 date for European Launch of PLAYSTATION 3 Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Announces New March 2007 date for European Launch of PLAYSTATION 3 No change in launch date for Japan and North America London, Wednesday 6 September 2006 – Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced that it would revise the launch date of its PLAYSTATION® 3 computer entertainment system in the PAL territories of Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Australasia from 17th November 2006, as previously announced to March 2007. Launch dates for Japan and North America will remain the same, which are November 11th and November 17th respectively. The revision of the launch date in the SCEE territories is caused by the delay in the mass production schedule of the blue laser diode within the Sony Group, thus affecting the timely procurement of key components to be utilised in PLAYSTATION 3. The previously announced PLAYSTATION 3 shipment forecast of 6 million units globally within the fiscal year ending 2007 is not changed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cool indeed for PS3 haters or people that aren't interested in PS3 and even people that are going to buy a PS3, will give them an additional opportunity to save up a few extra dollars. Nintendo needed to this happen and now they must capitalise on it.
