  1. Good news, hopefully it'll turn out great, have wanted an AAA quality Starfox game for quite some time and am yet to get one as Starfox Assault was rather disappointing but of course purchased it as part of my gamecube collection and being a fan of this particular franchise, didn't hesitate purchasing it despite it not being the best of games. The Wiimote is perfect for this game, rolling of the craft in the palm of your hands, move the craft in all directions as already mentioned with the wiimote, 4 player offline and/or online cooperative mode, playing the other characters such as Falco etc in addition to Fox Mccloud similtaneously through the Universe battling enemies together, online dogfights would be a nice addition as well.
  2. Hopefully, these compiled statistics turn into actual sales for Nintendo and the higher preference over other systems becomes a reality.
  3. Excellent, its all falling into place... [Evil laughter]
  4. I just looked up Wii on wikipedia, and found thats its in the list of confirmed launch titles, but as these entries are made by everyday people, they often have errors in them, this could be one of them.
  5. Definite Wii Purchases [AT LAUNCH]: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess [i predict it will score on average 9.5/10 with editor reviews, and will not surpass Ocarina of Time, but still an essential] Metroid Prime 3: Corruption [Need to support this game as there are already indications that this game won't sell as many units as other Nintendo franchise offerings due to Metroid being less popular] Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Excite Truck Wii Sports [Providing there are more than 4 sports game, about 8 would be a decent number, including extra sports such as billiards, fishing, hunting] if there are only 4, if its bundled with the system or sold at a budget price i'll purchase. WarioWare: Smooth Moves Super Mario Galaxy [Providing it is available at launch, regardless its a definite purchase] Pending Wii Purchases [AT LAUNCH]: Red Steel [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Trauma Center: Second Opinion [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Metal Slug Anthology [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Elebits [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Dragon Quest Swords [Providing it scores at least 7/10 in reviews] Could spend as much as 600 GBP at launch if the games are good enough to warrant purchasing them. Virtual Console Games: Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars - SNES Earthbound - SNES Sin & Punishment - N64 Goldeneye N64 - If they manage to get permissions for it and has wifi multiplayer.
  6. As i've already mentioned, i'm liking what i've seen of this game so far, definitely one of the standouts of Nintendos offerings and if developed correctly, it will be a "magical" gaming experience. Although I hope Nintendo chuck in some "massive" planets/landscaes outer space, and not just tiny little planets, i'd be somewhat disappointed if this were the case. Mario on the moon or mars is a must. Imagine the possibilities, multiple craters with space creatures coming out to attack Mario and a multitude of UFOS land on the planet in a line and Mario has to use gravity jumps to avoid a multitude of lasers firing at Mario in all directions, good timing would be essential. I also like how Mario is able to walk around planets upside down, all sides, can make great puzzles and gameplay elements out of this. Also what do you think the collection of notes is for, reminds me of Banjo Kazooie with the collection of music notes.
  7. I like the Wiigun, will most likely buy this game, online top scores that you can attempt to beat would be a nice addition and someone in the world would be declared the greatest wii duck hunter alive. But I'd like to be able to shoot the snickering dog this time...
  8. This game looks average, with limited control and poor graphics, but looks an ideal game for a bit of laughs and fun in short bursts and looks like a fun multiplayer title. Good game to demonstrate to people you know about the Wiimotes capabilities. It better be a budget game not charged full price, or be bundled with a Wii console otherwise I won't buy, simply isn't good enough to pay full price.
  9. This game looks & sounds great. I'd really like it to score and do well in terms of sales and hopefully it can surpass Super Mario 64, although i'm not sure if it'll be able to do that, only time will tell. Regardless, it will be an essential purchase and will be the 1st Wii game I play on Wii. http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707709p1.html AUTOMERGE: SUPPOSED TO BE A SEPARATE MESSAGE MARIO TO MISS LAUNCH???!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID Nintendo, They just haven't learnt...
  10. Hopefully the price they decide on is reasonable, anything over $250 US at the very highest would be too expenisve. Consumers may invest in the "perceived" superior consoles that are more expensive if Wii is priced too high...
  11. I was pleased with the news of a 3rd party character snake being included and considering others. Its gives the potential of the game lasting a lot longer, more characters, means more opportunities for arenas and trophies, if they are included this time round. Easy way to get additional characters and arenas, buy them for a cheap rate on the VC. I wouldn't mind if Nintendo had a card system like MS & Sony, where you use the code on the card to buy content, instead of having to use a credit card. I know i'd buy more characters and arenas that were fully unique if they were available for a reasonable price.
  12. http://www.engadget.com/2006/05/10/hands-on-with-nintendos-wii-controller/ ... This is concerning. Seems to be issues with the sensetivity of the controller and certain movements not being picked up, a number of gaming websites have mentioned this. I hope this won't occur with the final product, how are games supposed to be good if the control remains significantly flawed? I'm sorry Reggie, but Twilight Princess won't be perfect and will not surpass Ocarina Of Time if these control issues remains, seeing that the game is 80% complete, they'll most likely tweak these issues though. Hopefully in the final product, sensetivity can be adjusted to suit each game... Fingers crossed Nintendo address these issues before Wii launches...
  13. What a total disappointment, We waited a year for this mediocrity? Shame Nintendo... Sonys conference was better than this, at least it had one suprising element, unveiling of a motion sensetive controller. What did Nintendo have? Nothing except games that were expected, no real suprises, Why hide the price, contemplating a price rise, money hungry... Very little mention of Connect24, no SSB, unless its on the show floor, it seems as though, the console is far from completion, PS3 will probably release before Wii, and RIP Wii... I guess it was only supposed to be an overview of what to expect, but still very disappointing. The secret was just an in built speaker, why build up the anticipation like that, just for a gimmicky feature like that? Wii = Almost certain to fail, will probably be priced too expensive, inferior graphics, appears as though games are rather gimmicky, but i'll wait until some hands on reports are released before I make my final decision on purchase.
  14. I think it'll be a good conference for Nintendo but not an all time greatest e3 press conference contender. The big criticism for the Wii after the conference will probably be its inferior graphics, after game play footage is shown, a lot of people could end up being rather annoyed with the realisation of this, even though it has been clearly stated already that the Wii will only be 2 to 3 times more powerful than Gamecube. No one thats actually seen footage has said that they are particularly good visuals, nothing special, slightly better, is this because they are obligated not to hint anything whatsoever under NDAs? In regards to these alleged additional secrets, I think no UNBELIEVABLE/REVOLUTIONARY features/secrets will be revealed to the disappointment of a lot of people, myself included. Instead I think they'll just be things such as the console being region free, additional functionality with the controller [as Wii is all about the controller, or so we think, this might change?] earlier than expected launch with release details and possible pricing structure, full breakdown of the Virtual console with certain free games on the Virtual Console and a slight console modification with it being smaller amongst other things. Of course there'll be plenty of Wii & DS games along with suprise games announced for both Wii and DS, but i'm just preparing for the worst in case it ends UP being somewhat disappointing. If Nintendo ends up unveiling an ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE feature of the console that is better than the controller itself, I will literally eat hat. Either way though, Nintendo will own Sonys Press Conference...
  15. Potential Projectiles in future Mario Kart installment, "STOLEN" PS3 Consoles", meaning that they have made losses on these systems, where the PS3 that looks like a printer I own with a closed lid can be used to make contact with other drivers heads, or cart, causing them to spin out and temporarily have distorted driving ability, and/or XBOX 360 ADAPTOR weapon where the huge power adaptor strectches out and drags a racer it catches to 8th position. Nintendo can make a vague reference to other competing companies, where a certain game features a bit where robbers steal shop stock, on the side a sign says Wii sold out, but there are plenty of PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and the criminals, smash and grab, causing losses for both Sony & Microsoft in the game, not in real life obviously.
  16. Innovance QUOTE: "Oh and i hope the racing game is donkey kong racing too. That looked like a great concept" http://media.cube.ign.com/media/016/016565/imgs_1.html I had the exactly same idea that this game could be the game featured at E3, remember this game? It never saw the light of day on Gamecube due to Rareware being sold off to Microsoft. But Nintendo owns the rights to Donkey Kong, and the controlling of various animals with actions such as whipping etc, would make for an interesting racer as controlling the various animals would fully utilise the capabilities of the Wiimote. Perhaps this game may be resurrected on Wii... Sonys E3 Conference is coming up very soon in a matter of days, i'm interested to see all the final details on PS3, and how it compares to Wii, particularly the price, release date and their redesigned controller, we'll finally know whether Sony have copied the Wiimote to an extent or not. A QUESTION FOR THE FORUM MODERATORS WITH LOCKING POWERS OR ANY OTHER VETERAN RE FORUM USER THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THESE FORUMS ON A REGULAR BASIS: Is there anyway you can have one post straight after the other without it being automerged into one?
  17. Rad Racer?, Mach Rider? If it is a racer from the old NES era fully fledged and modernised to utilise the Wiis unique controller, that'd be good. I'd like to see a lot of old first party games on the NES that haven't had sequels to be remade for the Wii, easy to develop and be sold at budget prices, it'll greatly promote sales for the originals on the Virtual Console.
  18. Could the name possibly scare away developers for making games for the Wii?
  19. Wii Are The Champions, will this be Nintendos song at the end of the next generation of gaming to signify ultimate success? Some people may perhaps sing the chorus of that Queen song in reference to comprehensively beating their opponents at team action in Super Smash Bros: Mayhem/Total Chaos.
  20. I've been thinking about the name today, and its actually got a lot of meaning to it. Nintendos E3 presence this year without a doubt will be the most interesting and controversial ever. Expect to be stunned and a LOT of mixed reactions. The name Wii, I hated it at first and am still a bit iffy about it, but it does carry a lot of meaning. The word "we" will be pivotal in their press conference speech with a lot of repetition. A few Examples: "We will change the way you play games forever" "We will provide you with the best games" "We will provide you with the a new way to play games" "We will provide you a back log of over 20 years of gaming goodness and a fully integrated out of the box wireless gaming service" "We will wii [piss] on the competition" <-- Possible Humour Line "We will make you say.... [then a huge suprise is unveiled, WOW erupts the entire theatre from the amazement of the audience of what has just been revealed] Why have Ubisoft pledged so much support for the Wii, simple really, its not only due to the innovative controller, but the name, Ubisoft are a French developer, Wii Wii Wii [French Talk] <-- Need I say more? What are the games such as Mario Revolution going to be called now, Mario Wii, where you see his back and hes taking a piss on the boxart? Could this be the first time in quite some time where you are actually able to go to the toilet in a game, and that Marios bladder fills up over time and you need to take a wii in designated spots before he faints. Nintendo are putting everything on the line for this new console, it is obvious they are not content with being second rate this next generation, they are obviously trying to appeal to additional audiences not reached before and attempt to regain to an extent the market it had with NES & SNES consoles, during the glory days. Ultimately, only time will tell whether they succeed, or end up like Sega, just developing games, and not making home consoles [not including Handhelds]
  21. WHY NINTENDO WHY?? Wii is such a stupid name, sure it may assist with marketing and may perhaps draw in gamers that don't speak English, but once again they are further strengthening their "kid image" You've heard to death the piss associations, so I am not going to repeat those, but what do some kids say when they are having fun on a slide for a example. WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Wiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!] The hole reserved for Nintendos grave just got wider, it's suicide basically one could think, its setting itself up for failure, but we'll just have to wait to see how it pans out. I hate the name, and probably will never like it, NO WAY I AM saying WII in a store, I'll probably just say "i'll have this thanks" So, in short, like the console, hate the name.
  22. Castlevania Revolution? Battle dracula and his deploytation of enemies across the land with the FHC.
  23. I'd like the character screen to be like this, FULL! http://c.myspace.com/Groups/00004/26/05/4475062_l.jpg [quote= For Smash Bros as long as they remove some of the crap characters, remove the clones (give them all individual abilities, its not hard!) and add a few characters who belong in it (Especially Wario!) then I'll be happy with the character list. YES, NO CLONES AT ALL, Wario is an essential, no excuse for not making him a selectable character, Waluigi can be added in there as well for variety and Toad, time for him to kick some ass and not just ride in karts, funghi attack.
  24. Really an exclusive, NO PORTS OF THIS GAME WHATSOEVER? I hope not, I want this game to be exclusive, the Tony Hawk games look quite good, but haven't purchased because I don't like purchasing multi platform games. The only one I have is Tiger Woods PGA Tour, due to the Game Face create a character, customisation that is still isn't surpassed by another game, if there is, let me know, i'm a big fan of customisation of characters, it puts Sims 2 to shame...
  25. I played with just about every character, my favourite Nintendo character is Luigi, but he certainly doesn't have the best moves. To win a lot of the challenges in the game, particularly in hard and very hard, I used Roy for his sword KO smash, kept using that same move over and over again, and it worked, and use the DK ground pound move following by a smash, I'd play rather defensive usually in that game...
