if memory serves- Moneypenny was pretty foxey in Goldeneye. Anyone care to confirm or deny my possible delusions?

oh, and was Craig using a Walther PPK at any point? it'd be a shame if they dropped Bonds signature pistol....

She was pretty foxy in goldeneye indeed.

I did'nt see him using a walther ppk but does he not get that gun in dr no? which is based after this movie.

Great movie. Let me just c&p my thoughts in from elsewhere:

Well it's certainly different, and in reference to what (guy on another forum) said earlier it does feel quite removed from previous Bonds, and I think the hardcore fans which have loved Bond for what it is known for (cheesy lines and OTT gadgets) may find it hard to like this. But after the dire past two Bond's, this movie gave the series what it needed, a good kick up the arse.

Bond had emotion, felt real, and the whole thing felt believable.

Enjoyable, and yes the Martini line was ace.

Dude not even close! It was a rockin' tune (accompanying some wonderful opening credits)

For me Madonna's Die Another Day was the worst Bond song.

Oh yeah, and the film was amazing.

really i rather liked die another day.i guess it's personal opinion with this one. What is your favourite bond theme?

for me it is live and let die

Craig is a contender for my favourite Bond yet.

He is wreckless, he takes risks and is completely falible from the very first 10 minutes of the film.

He was godly in that film, and I think it could well be one of my favourites up there with the Connery films.

I like that they've got rid of the gadgets, as a Bond geek and general I think this is the way to go.. but I felt the Sony placement was a little tedious.

Perhaps the average film goer is unaware but I felt the cameras and mobile phone were too much.

The use of Blu-ray is reasonable for surveilance, and the laptop.. yeah MI5 and MI6 probably do use Sony hardware for their network.

The stunts were awesome, the pace was excellent. The subject matter was dirty and very hard hitting (dirty terrorism, cells etc..) and every character was really well played.

My only criticism would be the 6 hour time lapses that would go unattended.. typically in a film they'll have a pan out shot of a plane or a fade in with some music.

It was a very bold move to have Bond just appear after he's flown around the world.

I guess editting is the cause, I did clock it at over 2 hours so fair enough.

Very very pro film, shocks twists and turns.

It's a new Bond, and he's not the calm and calculating type that has become so tedious.

The titles broke a tradition but it's irrelevant for me, the film is what matters.

Holy shit there must have been a lot of adverts, 13:00 start and I didn't get out until 15:45

It must have been pretty tough to do the cinematography for the Poker.. it was a fundamental part of the film but they broke it up with a big fight scene.

IMDB says 144 minutes.

Oh right, then thats my bad. I suppose a bottle of berry rum affects your timekeeping abilities....

Mine has to be A View To A Kill by Duran Duran, the cheese!

I don't remember seeing the PPk but he did get out the newer PP9 (I think its called) from his car. That was first introduced in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Oh yeah, I saw it again, and its fecking fantastic.

I thought this film was good, lost me a bit in the middle where it slowed down - but enjoyable and different. I didn't like the CG blood at the beginning or the opening sequence though.

Also pissed me off: Branson bought his own cameo..

I didn't notice him so I guess he didn't pay enough.

I don't think they're really in a set order. If they are then getting his 00 status from a female M doesn't make sense when Goldeneye is the first time we saw a female M.
