Cookyman Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Just having a quick look in Amazon to see if the games had dropped in price yet (not yet!) when I spotted these a bit pricey if you ask me! Golf Club Shell Tennis Racket Controller Shell No pics on their site yet but quite an interesting find - I think you'd agree?
Anton Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 £13 is quite pricey for a simple piece of cheap plastic shaped like a golf club/tennis racket.
mcj metroid Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 there really is no point to any of these gimmicky add-ons.that includes the steering whell but at least that's free
DanielTimothy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 If it helped get a better feel for the game whats the harm?
ShadowV7 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Hitting someone in the face while your swinging?
triforce_keeper Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Hitting someone in the face while your swinging? Love it! Oh and these shells.......bit pricey eh?
Tellyn Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Has this been confirmed anywhere else? Why would Amazon sell them when they have no knowledge of any add-ons or the prices?
Teppo Holmqvist Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Has this been confirmed anywhere else? Why would Amazon sell them when they have no knowledge of any add-ons or the prices? As you can see from product's info page, these aren't made by Nintendo, but 3rd party company party that's called Venom.
Nintendo Fan Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 They should be free with games or cheaper.
c0Zm1c Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 If it helped get a better feel for the game whats the harm? The price. Still, it's not as bad as the 360's faceplates. They have no use at all.
Owen Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I can kinda understand the 'steering wheel' one....but the rest? No-way!
Patch Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Can't believe no-one has mentioned yet how they're a bit pricey.
Nintendork Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 360 faceplates have a purpose, they give a large system a sense of personality and style. If I had a 360 I would custom mod the whole thing with stickers and spray paint. These have no purpose as they contribute nothing to the gaming experience.. and barely heighten the aesthetic value.
c0Zm1c Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 The faceplate that comes with the 360 serves its purpose already. If I thought personalising my 360 was remotely important I would just load a custom background image onto the dashboard for free, and save the money I'd have otherwise wasted for something of real value. I mean "who gives a rat's ass" what the console looks like, it's what's on the screen that matters.
Nintendork Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Who gives a rat's ass what their iPod looks like? Erm, the world's second largest technology accesory market second only to mobile phones. Say that to Nokia 5 years ago when they released the revolutionary 3210 phone. They'd laugh at you now.
c0Zm1c Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 No, I think they would laugh at you for trying to make a comparison between two very different markets.
Zechs Merquise Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Come on, it's just a bit of a laugh isn't it? Some people will love to turn their Wii-mote into a tennis racket, and I reckon it's a pretty cool idea. Still, i'll not bother. But damn it's far cooler than those faceplates.
