darksnowman
Just read a bit of news on VC-Reviews regarding Square-Enix and their stance on the VC. We’re definitely looking into all the other download mediums. We don’t think the games and the IP that we have have lost value yet, so we haven’t decided if releasing them on VC is the best idea. It’s a matter of the package — which is downloading. You look at a game, and you have to decide whether it will be better to be sold in a retail store, or if it will be better for download. We’re making that decision carefully for each of the games that we have. It comes down to the games that we think we could make a good remake of haven’t been on VC yet. So that's a definite maybe. ShadowV7
There was? Agreed though. The VC is really bad now, where's the 3rd party games? Or some other decent ones? I haven't downloaded a VC game in...what was the alst one Sin and Punishment?
Ike
I'm hoping we'll get Earthbound next week as a surprise release or something, though I know it won't happen.
ShadowV7
To be honest, I was hoping for Earthbound since it got rated over in the US, hoped it meant that we might of gotten it soon aka Hanabi. Apparently not ¬_¬
darksnowman
Has anyone actually checked out Star Parodier? I just had a look at it on Youtube and it looks hot! When I get some Wii points (which will be when I get some free space) Star Parodier could well be my first foray into the Shop Channel world of the Turbografx. ShadowV7
Never heard of it. I still have some stars in my account so might use them for points. I'll check it out on YouTube. Though space... I'll watch it and want it for now
Tellyn
Just read a bit of news on VC-Reviews regarding Square-Enix and their stance on the VC. So that's a definite maybe. That's a definite "why the hell should we release a cheap version of our vastly superior games when we can keep remaking it over and over a-bloody-gain?" I wonder though: The could also make remakes for WiiWare though and get the money from there
Hellfire
I don't know if I should get any Hanabi Festival game, Cho Aniki might be worth it for comedy purposes alone :P
darksnowman
I don't know if I should get any Hanabi Festival game, Cho Aniki might be worth it for comedy purposes alone :P I like your style, I wouldn't mind some Cho Aniki some time either! If you fancy something a bit less conventional then take a look at Star Parodier, a cute em up that looks pretty fine.
Tellyn
This month's Hanabi games don't interest me. I'd only get them if they were limited edition like Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels, since I'm a sucker for limited editions.

Tellyn
Get yourself some WiiWare games ReZ. I recommend one of the following: Toki Tori, LostWinds, Dr. Mario.
ReZourceman
What are Toki Tori and Lostwinds like/entail?
Hero-of-Time
What are Toki Tori and Lostwinds like/entail? Check out the WiiWare threads or the LostWind threads for impressions. Its understandable that we only got 1 game this week what with WiiWare launching. Heres a youtube vid of this weeks game. I havent a clue whats going on in it and it somehow reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Krusty loses the Itchy and Scratchy show and it gest replaced with an eastern european cat and mouse show. To quote Krusty " What the hell was that??!! "
ReZourceman
Lol! Also Ive just realised (well...remembered) I actually know the guy whos head of design of the people who port the C64 games for VC. Hes awesome.
darksnowman
MSX games have at last been added to the Virtual Console in Japan, with Aleste being the first game made available.
Tellyn
And that's taken them over a year. Bravo, Nintendo/Konami/whoever was in charge of it. I wonder if we'll see any titles (like Metal Gear) on the VC in Europe/US?
Ike
NoE have hinted we're getting Pokemon Puzzle League "soon". Read the final paragraph I know the US has already got it, so it was just a matter of time before we did, although, since it's NoE, coming soon could mean this week or next month. If we're lucky :P
Helmsly
Well, no Nintendo channel yet or new Wiiware games but tonights VC games are up: Pokemon puzzle league (N64 1000 points) Samurai Shodown (neogeo 900 points) Burning Fight (neogeo 900 points)
