Posted May 17, 2009 Since Eden of the East is in America, do the american characters talk in english? I was also the first time I saw a 9/11 terrorist attack reference in an anime. They even talk about the Freedom Tower. In which year is this anime set up? intelligent+political+military+action+futuristic = Ghost in the Shell Never watched it myself but I heard it's very good. Posted May 17, 2009 Yeah, I think so. Have you been reading subs with like spelling mistAks and ^____^, ^___- face's in? as those ones are either terrible or a joke! I orginally watched the first episode Raw. Man that is a brain bender. I had no idea what was going on then that bunny girls breasts explode. That confused my mind so badly I don't think it has recovered. I've watched about 3 different groups subs and they were all terrible. I think the worst was that some group took the 4:3 and stretched it to make it widescreen, then pretty much boasted about having a widescreen version...ugh. Is it that hard to buy a few lines from an american voice acting agency? I mean, in Evangelion, when they receive EVA-03 from the Massachusetts base, they had perfect american voice acting, but in all other anime that involves the english language they always have the japanese engrish accent. Maybe with the exception of a certain american character in Genshiken. Posted May 19, 2009 Just need to say a few things before my Lunch is over: Fairy Tail is an awesome manga. Read all available chapters in two days back in...march I think. Main characters remind me of the Straw Hat pirates from one piece, looks wise anyways, although the main one reminds me soooo much of luffy. I love energetic, "never give up" characters. The Liar Game is also an awesome manga that is like a more realistic death note. Some of the twists in this manga have really hurt my head trying to understand them! Bleach: Even after all the battles that happen now, unless the Vaizard show up (as it looks like they might as they seemed to be 'moving out' for battle after we saw how they came to be) they still need to show whose side they are on. I mean, they probably hate aizen, but they must also hate soul society for tossing them out to die. Also, IIRC Hiyori did say she hates humans and that former captain with the weird teeth (I forget his name) agreed with her, although they seem to like Ichigo in their own ways. Also, we still need to understand what in God's name Ichigo actually is and how he came to be what he is. Is the guy Human, Shingami, Hollow, Vaizard, or something...differernt... And people rave over here about having a 5 megapixel camera or whatever the max is nowadays. Not that megapixels mean anything except a bigger print, but still... on a phone. Then in the whole training arc (20s) Kisuke awakened his powers again and turned him into a Vaizard. But this hardly explains the core of what Ichigo is. I mean, he's a death god, but... he's alive, he lives in the real world, not soul society. The other shinigami are dead people who found that they have spirit powers when they go over to the other side. They get 'hungry' even though they don't need food. Their life ended long ago. Yeah, Ichigo is Vaizard (in technique, at least, as Vaizard is the name the group have given themselves and he decided he didn't want to join them) but it still doesn't explain where his abilities came from, same with Isshin, who is a shinigami but somehow has fathered three living kids. Lets face it, most of Bleach is clearly made up as the author goes along, and he hasn't decided what to do with all his characters yet. On a sidenote, it is mindboggling the way Studio Pierrot treats their two biggest franchises. Bleach, which is only a few chapters behind the manga, plows forward and a nice pace, looks good, doesn't add filler to the battles... even though it's going to catch up in no time. Naruto Shippuuden on the other hand is miles behind the manga but is still stuck in a 3 month long filler arc. And even when it does catch up, they'll draw it out with filler and make it very slow and dull. And Naruto is the more popular franchise of the two!
