system_error Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Ubisoft had nonthing to do with GT cube. So probably not. MTO made GT Cube and now they make GT Pro for Ubisoft - so Ubisoft is only the publisher.
YenRug Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 For those complaining about how the steering wheel attachment lacks any kind of physical support, you'd be doing exactly the same thing with the Wii-mote; the idea is just to, psychologically, provide you with a wheel to hold in your hands instead of a "stick". It will probably be more comfortable than trying to squeeze both hands onto the Wii-mote, too, especially for those of us with larger hands.
James McGeachie Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Ubisoft had nonthing to do with GT cube. So probably not. It doesn't work that way. I know someone else explained but I notice a lot of people don't seem to realise games always have both a developer and publisher yet quite often a came will be said to be "coming" from the publisher because technically they are the ones who're bringing it out. Ubisoft are also pubishing the PC version of RE4 from what I recall and they didn't have anything whatsoever to do with the development of that game.
Helmsly Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Looks pretty bad and unless the gameply has something truly orginal to it its just going to be a fairly generic racing title with crap graphics.
Hellfire Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 And having supports is very fun IF you happen to have place where you can hold it in a good position which is rare.
Charlie Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Looks pretty bad and unless the gameply has something truly orginal to it its just going to be a fairly generic racing title with crap graphics. What did you think of the graphics in the Windwaker?
Twilight Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 WindWaker = amazing GT = not that good I´m not saying that GT looks good or anything but WW looks horrible in screenshots. In motion it´s the most beautiful game ever, though...
djamb3 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 That's what I meant too. Even in pics WW looked great. I bought my GC after seeing only a few pics of WW. I believe that says everything! But I agree that we need to see GT runnig to make final comments.
Shino Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I can see myself throwing the wheel up and spining, it shall be helpfull for those "U" turns.
darkjak Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Well, hope this'll be a fairly fun game. I'd preffer realistic graphics, but I've been constantly nagging on all possible forums that GT Cube should get a Wii sequel, so this seems to be my lucky day...

Sure but to be honest if the game features a good damage and physics model and a upgrade system like Gran Turismo I will buy it even when it looks like that.
mcj metroid Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 hmm it looks shite doesnt it.But i love cel shaded! I might just play the game without the whell though But why are ign acting so stupid?Asking questions like will this and that game be compatible.Lol of course it will. Its just a plastic cover for the wii-mote.techically speaking twiligt princess is compatible or am i missing something?
Helmsly Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 What did you think of the graphics in the Windwaker? Honestly I think the graphics in Windwaker are brilliant, I brought WW after seeing very little of it other then screenshots and I think one video of Myamoto playing it at E3. Its not the fact that GT Pro series is cel shaded but how bad it looks compared to just other cel shaded games, particularly Auto modellista.
demonmike04 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 LOLOLOL! The steering wheel is just a bit of plastic to put the wiimote on! LOL!!!No extra feautures, nothing... it will feel very strange to hold that in the air (more than without that thing)! About the game: It looks real bad! See this: http://media.cube.ign.com/media/545/545832/imgs_1.html <- GT Cube. Same thing + controller update? 1. Its free, and freebies are fun. 2. It will be indeed strange to hold it in mid-air, but its free, be greatful. 3. I dont like the look of the game either... But, i'l wait til I know more about it to decide on whether purchasable or not.
Sarka Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 It might look good in motion and the wheel may be nice to play with. We'll just have to wait a few months to find out.
IMJ Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 You know, I kinda wonder how many of those Ubisoft titles will be any good. Rayman and Red Steel seem to be heading in the right direction. Then we've got some "ports" in Monster Trucks 4x4, Blazing Angels, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, GT Pro, Open Season. I just hope all titles are good products and not rushed ones... Btw, isn't MTO also the developer of the GT Advance games on the GBA? They seemed to be fairly well received by the gaming press. Hopefully GT Pro is gonna be a decent racer. Oh and i wouldnt mind seeing a new lick of paint on the graphics as it doesnt seem like it's something that's not possible on the Cube right now.
dukegaliz Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Fork out the dough, RESULT: Accumulator of dust.
DCK Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 This'd better play very well for giving us those graphics. Seriously. Lack of power doesn't make games ugly.
darkjak Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hi. I know it's a while ago this was posted, and that the game's forgotten and all, but I wonder if anyone who's bought this game (or anyone else for that matter) can answer a fairly simple question: Does this game include the Toyota Celica ST162 or ST165? I'm asking because I own a ST162 Celica which I'm currently tinkering with. My goal is to install a Wii and a monitor, and in case I'd ever want to go to a carshow, I'd think it would be cool to have a replay of a near identical car making a kick ass lap on the monitor. The latest pic of my car is the following: I know that the car is included in GT4, but I much rather want a Wii, since it's nearly the exact same size as a regular car stereo.
