Truth is the Wii will never be released, it's all a giant con.

I expect we'll hear that ViPeR was found murdered with a giant N branded into his forehead :(

It's personal for Reggie!

Too be honest, if this is not the day everything is unveiled i'm going to be ever so peeved and i'm guessing the console isn't out till after PS3.

If they announce every September 14th, theres a chance it will come out late October/ Early November.

I'm not getting excited over 14/09/06, oh no i'm not...never ever again....i'll wait till the day to see whats posted by i'm not going to agree that we will be told a launch date and price. Therefore it won't be a Anti-Climax and a massive let-down.

Tell us whenever Nintendo.

To be honest i am kinda tired of all these crap by Nintendo. I mean come on, we are the costumers for crying out loud. Everytime there is an event coming there is always a "line" from Nintendo that is either a promise or a hint that everything will be revealed. OMG i don't want to learn about Wii from the manual. I will buy Wii anyway but most of the people won't if they don't know what it is.

Meh, I'll go with Matt. Though it seems likely that Nintendo will be cheap and just put a press release on Nintendo.com too.

tired of saying this, but it wasn't nintendo's fault that we got hyped over GDC. they kept their promise, and they made a point of making sure they told everyone. simple as. it was our own fault for speculating what would be addressed when ninty never even GAVE hints!

now this 14th september event, i'm gonna get hyped for again, coz let's face it: 6 hours, a special nintendo-exclusive event, hosted by reggie, with actual invited being sent out to the press! they've planned it this way all along, and it'll make for a far better event to tell everyone, with much more coverage than GDC could ever hope to have!! the whole planet will know about Wii after this.

Agreed. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, i still love em and Obviously will still buy a Wii!

BUT at the moment my hype is slowly decreasing and i'm getting more and more irritated then excited.

Overall? I want a Wii still...but the lack of any solid news on alot of what the Wii can do and when we will actually be able to buy it, is making the whole waiting thing kinda dull.

It's very tedious and boring.

For now, i'll stick with playing my 360 and getting into that and hopefully when i finally log onto revo-europe one day in the next couple of months i'll be greeted with the news which we have waited for, for which seems about 1and half years.

Nah I wouldn't say that. It's just been a long time since May and the release could be just a month and a half away. I'm surprised they haven't told us anything new but those two new games are pretty good additions.

Anyone else a bit worries that we haven't seen more of games like Disaster? Or are they saving it for a massive blow out in Sept?

Don't overhype eventual tripe. Wait and see when you'll get your Wii.

what a fine poet you are!

Anyone think that Nintendo might pull and Apple and release it on the 14th?

(I don't think that btw, just speculating... again)

starwaster has said the same thing to me on manies a wifi night at his place. don't think they'll do THAT necessarily, but just like apple they probably don't see anything wrong with telling us not too long before release. gotta be some reason why its secret ;)

i like what nintendo have been doing. they've hit all the right spots bit by bit, building the hype... now we're about to get this 14th september event, and it looks like the WORLD's media is gonna be there :D:D:D

or at least a week later, then there would be no way for $ony to copy them and try to release the P$3 along side with the Wii.:hmm:

I think the Wii has already been in production. I'm pretty sure alot of the launch titles are ready.

I'm hoping they announce that it will be released next month (obviously when they are talking in September, it will be a October release).

I really want Zelda now....:weep:

Actually from a promotional standpoint this would be really good timing. If they are releasing the Wii in October and show it to the Press by September they would have enough time to fill their October issues with lots of Wii information for the non up-to-date consumer. After a six hours event there'll definitely be a lot to write about.

I think most magazines release their issues in late september or early October so it could even be that some don't have TGS coverage because it won't meet their deadline.
