Owen Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Sorry if this is on the wrong board! OK. Quite a simple question really, but ever since yesterday my hotmail has been jamming everytime i get on the page showing my messages inbox. It's really starting to annoy me because i like to read the weekly emails i get from game companies, clothes shops etc.. I cannot read any of them without it 'not responding' and i have to shut-down my internet and start it again! Every other internet site i go on, hasn't got the same problem! So what can i do? and is anyone elses doing it? Do you think it's a problem with the actual site? Thanks in advance! Oh and also my AOL start-up screen doesn't seem to want to load either....

Yeah mine has the same problem. It will work, but you have to leave the page 'loading' for about 30-60 seconds. Then you'll get a message up on the screen saying something about script problems or something. Once you close the message boxes it will work as normal; but everytime you go back on to the main message page it will do the same again!
Konfucius Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Mine works normal. Which Browser do you use? I use IE. Could be some faulty code certain browsers can't handle.

Shorty Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Oh and also my AOL start-up screen doesn't seem to want to load either.... That's probably your problem right there. What? Someone had to say it.
Owen Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 I know AOL is rubbish! I'm going to change my provider soon because i want to go on the net with my 'Wii'. What is the best internet provider to use? which doesn't have so many problems and will work with the Wii? My Hotmail still isn't working properly. Next time i go on, i will leave it loading for a while! Thanks for your comments everyone!

I have AOL platinum with a wireles router and dont use the AOL browser at all... I just use IE. My DS WI FI works fine online so i assume my Wii will to. AOL is my fourth internet provider and has so far been the best ive ever had for service. (No monthly download limits, great customer service, value for money etc) My other ISP's were demon, freeserve, BT and Tiscali.
Owen Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 My DS wouldn't go online with AOL. I have AOL platinum also but i don't have a router. I'm just using the USB ADSL Modem (BT VOYAGER 105) which came with it. Perhaps thats why my DS didn't work online? Which router should i get and how much are they? I may need to buy one for my Wii mainly. I've tried using IE (it doesn't cost extra going on this browser does it? because mines a monthly direct debit) but it jammed in that as well....
Fresh Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Are you useing a router at all? ^^ PS - IE sucks, use firefox.
mario114 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 It won't work for me properly in IE, so I use firefox.
Owen Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 How do you get Firefox and that's compatible with AOL right?
Mr_Odwin Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 1) Type http://www.gogole.co.uk into your browser address bar. 2) Press Enter. 2) Type firefox into google search line. 3) Press Enter. 4) Click first link. 5) Click 'download firefox' button. 6) Download/Run application and install firefox, accepting all default options. 7) Double click Firefox icon on desktop. 8) Press Enter (Just for fun this time - it's such a big cool key!)
Shorty Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Sound advice Odwin, but for some crazy unknown reason I couldn't get past step one
