phez_boy Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 ok i know there are probably a million websites with glowing reviews about the Wii and to post them all would b ridiculous. but this guy has a really great take on gaming and how the alpha-male in games dominates the industry. a longy but a goody. feel free to lock if u feel its irrelevant. http://www.bit-tech.net/columns/2006/05/21/Wii_dont_need_no_education/
The fish Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I think that guy has a good point, and it's a good read.
masaki86 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Enjpyable read; made me some what proud to be a nintendo fan.
raven_blade2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 That was beautiful. Poetry in motion. Great article. Now we have to get the public to read things like that.
Sooj Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I loved it from beginning to end. Like Masaki said, makes me very proud to be a Nintendo fan
Jamba Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 He's managed to articulate what I've been trying to say for a while now about the macho-ness. I was trying to liken it to marketing cars. But he's right. We are all in for happy times I think.
BeerMonkey Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 a very nice read like above proud to be a ninty fan. cant wait to get my grubby hands on that wii
Guest Stefkov Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 i agree with everyone, very nice read. what made me lauh was this: Both claim that the Wii will be the best second console... but if, by definition, most people who buy either the PS3 or XBox also buy a Wii, then clearly the Wii will outsell both of them by a considerable margin. So who is the second console, again? i like that
DCK Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 That's an excellent article. I never thought about the aggressiveness of 'Xbox', really interesting.
Tellyn Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Great article now I really need a Wii (sorry, the first joke of that genre I've ever done on this forum, seriously).
Flaight Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I guess it all ties in with the idea that Wii name would grow on you after a while. I still remember only a few weeks ago there was an outrage here about the name (not me).
phez_boy Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 well glad to see every1 enjoying the article, i though he had some good points in there
Konfucius Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 That's a truely great article. It adresses many different issues and still doesn't become off-topic. We are left with the feeling of this big war between Sony and MS, where Nintendo is an unfortunate bystander just trying to make fun games. very true...
