-Sakurai want more female characters and talked about her as an example

-she wields a staff which none actual smash characters do

 

I'm not into Starfox games since I don't like shooting games too much and I just see Crystal in Starfox Adventures (so nearly nothing) but I don't mind having her in. Not my favourite but she is pretty unique and that's nearly all I want from new characters (clones are the Evil).

Krystal is easily my most wanted character. For a fox she was damn fine in adventures

 

Her staff would also make it easy for her to have a good moveset, especially for smash attacks.

I agree, Krystal could easily be a very unique character. I hadn't even considered her as a possible newcomer, now I'm sincerely hoping she is included!

I think Claus is very likely to be in the roster (a 2nd character from Mother/Earthbound series is almost a certainty I heard somewhere...).

i recon PW could work, he could do an objection, which stunned foes, a take that, which threw random evidence. he could have a point of justice, for big damage, his final smash could be the not guilty were the judge slamms the hammer down.. it could work, no weirder then ice climbers felt.

You mean they should include a very minor character (appearing only in Mario sports and party spin-offs and which was created only because developpers need pairs of characters) because a major Nintendo character (which got his own series, have been the main villain in few Mario games and appeared in nearly all Mario spin-offs) is his brother...

 

This game isn't "Super Mario Fighting". I think the only other Mario characters who have a chance to be playable are Bowser Jr and Geno (quite popular, huge potential in terms of moveset and represent new sides of the Mario franchise: recent games for Bowser Jr and RPGs for Geno). I'd also love to see Fawful but I don't have real hopes.

Daisy and Dr Mario will probably be alternate costumes if they are in. Birdo is a filler character like Waluigi and Daisy and can't do something Yoshi doesn't.

 

Nah, I think they'll only include one Sonic character if any.

 

+1. Maybe some characters as Assit trophies. I think Sakurai want to keep only icons of gaming for third party characters.

Many Animal Crossing songs are pretty serene, so there are a lot of songs that aren’t very suited to a fighting game. What to do, what to do...?

 

Then there was this arrangement. As I sit and enjoy this song, it reminds me of one phrase in particular...

Yoshi: Final Smash

 

Super Dragon

 

It’s tough to know what to call Yoshi – some call him a dragon, others a dinosaur. Some people don’t know WHAT he is.

 

But whatever you call him, Yoshi’s true power will be seen here!

 

 

He’s gotten the oft-mentioned Smash Ball!

 

 

W-wings!

 

 

He starts spewing out a jet of fire...

 

 

But you can also press the button to spit out fireballs!

 

It feels like, um...beauty and elegance...mixed with clumsiness. Certainly, no one’s ever seen Yoshi like this!

 

Being able to fly around is nice, as is giving undivided attention to his attacks. Yoshi can live as he likes, for a brief period of time.

 

 

Oh, to think it’s already over...

It's another double update. The music is cool, and I think we'll get an Animal Crossing character for sure this time. Especially the last line of the music update is probably a hint to this.

 

And Yoshi can grow wings this time, and spew fire. Never seen that before. :p

Wow, two great updates! I don't think anyone would have expected that for Yoshi's final smash, but I suppose it's no completely out of the blue, considering you could make him fly and breathe fire in Super Mario World.

 

I'm really pleased that Go K.K. Rider is the Smashville song, too, as it's one of my favourite K.K. songs (even though I'd have preferred K.K. Condor..). Shame it doesn't seem to have as much oomph as it could have had, though.
