Nintendo of Japan spokesperson says they are not done with Cube yet

Japanese gaming publication Nintendo Dream talk to Nintendo of Japan spokesperson Mitsuaki Hagishima about life left in the GameCube. The summary excerpt reads…

5. Nintendo isn’t done with the GameCube software announcements just yet! GameCube will be getting more titles, including some sequels to series that are well known. Hagishima states that one of the titles in development will surprise people with the new kind of gameplay it achieves on the GameCube. He claims to have actually played the game and promises that it will be announced soon.

Yeah what's the point!

They could do better things with Paper Mario 3 (for example) on Wii!

It's not going to be Mario, Smash Bros, Zelda (other than Twilight Princess), Metroid, Donkey Kong, Wario Ware, Pikmin etc... as they've all been confirmed for Wii!

Starfox had a game not so long ago so I'd rule that out...

I can only think maybe Kirby will be on the Gamecube after all!

It's great for CUBE owners but it's too late to draw in anymore extra major sales now. Personally i think any Gamecube games in development now (except Zelda) should just be held back and released on the Wii (with added controls and bits and bobs etc...)

The Wii needs as many titles as possible to give it a superb head-start!

Kirby Adventure for the Cube was announced last year. Pikmin was never announced for the Wii either. I'm guessing Ice Climbers.
I thought Nintendo might have said Kirby had been moved onto Wii, which is why I said maybe it's back on Gamecube.

Pikmin 3 has been confirmed to be in development for a long time, and the logical guess is it's a Wii title!

I have no idea what surprise sequels could be revealed though, we've already seen Kirby.

Maybe it's Kid Icarus/Icarus?!

Or Ice Climbers!?

Maybe they're making that bike game...can't remember what it's called -_-

I really have no idea...a well known series?!

OOOOne question.has metroid prime 3 been confirmed to wii? or could it be in cube?

Well and we still can see excitebike, kirby, maybe a yoshy game, luigy's mansion 2...

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3523670659115894947&q=metroid+prime+3

If you watch the E3 2005 Metroid Prime 3 video, the game is referred to as an example of Revolutions graphics; and I think it's been stated as a Wii title many times.

Plus there was the Metroid Prime 2 Wii Controller demo at E3 last year to demonstrate how well the series would work on Wii.

It just makes no sense because any game they announce for the Gamecube now, could be done so much better on Wii!

Wasnt there suposed to be one more Kirby game comming out for the cube?

Yes read my last post.

Kirby Adventure has not been moved to the Wii because otherwise we would have seen Wii's graphics already, there were screenshots. I highly doubt Kid Icarus for the Cube, that's in development for Wii. I've rethought Ice Climbers, because if it's like the one on Smash Bros. then it will be more interesting flicking the controller up to make them jump, rather than pressing up. I don't think Pilotwings is coming to the Cube, that was confirmed years ago, then cancelled by developers, and apparently Hudson are making a Wii version. Metroid Prime 3 is a Wii game according to http://www.game.net
