Charlie
I've got something called "Zineryt." I don't think it actually does anything. The best cure is fresh air :P (I'm not scarily spotty either by the way, just the odd few which can only be seen close up)

The main problem is that i only get a spot now and then... so it feels like a big deal to me. I was considering buying some Freederm but at almost a tenner for the worlds smallest tube.. and no garenteed results i am giving it a miss! EEVILMURRAY
I use Clearasil in conjunction with Differin gel. Ask your doctor for the latter.

Meik
You did the right thing by going to the doctors and getting tablets for it. I did the same back when I was 14/15, cleared that shit right up. As far as i'm aware there isn't really a better cure than those, just make sure you wash your face regularly and also wearing aftershave after shaving helps. (That last part may be an Urban myth, but I still roll with it and it's been 6 years since I had major spots). I'm also not sure what "fash wash" is. Kurtle Squad
NOT Clearasil or anything else that supposedly helps which is made by some sort of money maing corporation!! I use Surgical Spirit. It's supposed to be used for other shit, but it's the master of cleaning (it's a lil stingy sometimes though). I would use tablets, but mine arent that bad anymore and some tablets fuck up ur skin & lips and stuff. Also drink pleanty of water and such and lay off having too many crisps. Meik
As I remember I did the same as you, I took them for 6 months and stopped, then they came back again a little while later. From then I just stockpiled a few boxes of the tablets at a time and started taking them for a couple weeks when they started to creep back. I don't think taking them consistently for years is a good idea, just save some and go back on them when they come back. From my experience they started to clear up 3 or 4 days after taking them again. They're a nightmare I know, mine lasted for the longest time but they did eventually disappear. Eenuh
I used to have it really bad (some guy called me a Dalmatian once in 8th grade). None of those tubes and lotions and whatnot that you can buy in any store helped, at all. The doctor made me take some evil evil and extremely yucky oil from some kind of fruit or vegetable (pumpkin I think?) and horrible yellow pills, but that didn't really help much either. So we went to a specialist and they gave me some face wash called Effaclar and then some stronger lotion to put on my face (don't remember if I had to take anymore pills...). Anyway, that did seem to help and I had to deal with a lot less spots. Right now I don't take any of that stuff anymore (haven't for years); just have to deal with the usual spots. Just nothing too bad anymore. But yeah, just go to the doctor if you really want to get rid of it; don't buy anything in a normal store cause it usually won't help anyway. EEVILMURRAY
Why do people say not to squeeze them? I aint having no yellow balls in the middle of my face. I find it quite satisfying truth be known. I have the rare one on my face from time to time, but the main area now is my back/shoulders etc. There is no better feeling than finding a painful lump on ye back, one quick squeeze, feel the burst then a wave of relief hits the area. ooohhh. Pyxis
puberty doesnt last forever guys, its just that time of your life for some of you. I had really annoying spots when younger, but they do all go away in the end no matter how bad they get. I only seem to get spots straight after having my hair cut for some strange reason. Lots of people blossom once they've matured.
