seamus_aran Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 See. This has no new news. See what hype does? Bad revolution-europe
21st century cowboy Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 oh why oh why did i put my hopes so high up there. it doesn't sound to promising so far
BGS Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Look what Matt (?) just wrote on the IGN transcript!... 11:29: Iwata takes the stage. Revo Board members: it's coming
Kurtle Squad Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Nothing's been said, but oh well. There's always E3. I just hope now that the Revo is announced as Region Free like the PS3..
|Laguna| Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 From the Wind Waker team Cel-shaded-style graphics. Top screen: mostly maps. Action is on the lower screen. Use touch screen to draw things -- transitioning the bottom screen input to the top.
AshMat Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Wasn't revo announced region free when it was revelaed at E3? Reiterates backwards compatible to all previous nintendo games
BGS Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Wooo Zelda: Phantom Hourglass! Guess we all knew a ds zelda would turn up but I wasn't expecting it now!
Owen Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 That was VERY unexpected! Zelda DS! I want screenshots now!
Flaight Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Club skill's radio broadcast is overwhelmed due to too much demand, apparently. Only had a commentator describing it between background music rather than the actual GDC live feed. You could read it off few live blogging at Kotaku.com, Eurogamer.net and as the others have pointed out, IGN. You have to manual-refresh though.
pedrocasilva Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Wooo Zelda: Phantom Hourglass!Guess we all knew a ds zelda would turn up but I wasn't expecting it now! Hell Yeah! Cell-shaded like I predicted since I saw "cell-shading support" in the DS's specs...
21st century cowboy Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 small developers can put there games on hte virtual console. like xbox arcade i presume
Owen Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hell Yeah! Cell-shaded like I predicted since I saw "cell-shading support" in the DS's specs... It's like Wind-Waker right? Full-3D world but cel-shaded. Not like the GBA Zelda's? How cool is that? :awesome: ''Nintendo understands importance of graphics. Games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid will all look better than ever. But those will not be the only types of games'' How exciting!
AshMat Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Are these forums being slow for everyone? He's beggining to repeat his "new opportunities" speech..
BGS Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I wouldn't get your hopes up on it being a fully 3d world...
Jav_NE Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hmm, i guess the 'tidbit' we got was about Zelda DS... hope im not speaking prematurely here.
Owen Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Hmm, i guess the 'tidbit' we got was about Zelda DS... hope im not speaking prematurely here. Thats way more then i was expecting! I shouldn't of wrote anything till the conference actually ended but the actual good stuff was 10-15 mins at the end wasn't it? A great tidbit i must add! Now i'm thinking, he stated 'In a few weeks' you can play the Revolution games etc..does that mean sometime in April? Or does he mean E3 2006?
Flaight Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Retro sega systems games will be available? my god. At last I'll be able to get off emus and play Shadow Dancer
djamb3 Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Sega should be the bomb, like the zelda for ds, but I was expecting a little more.....
Demuwan Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Im not going to lie that was thoroughly unsatisfying. I guess E3 it is. DAMM :-(
Flaight Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Expecting a little more? You kidding GDC stands for Game Developer's Conference. It was fitting for that - talking about the designs of some games and philosophy. There's this thing called E3, which you guys probably have never heard of, coming this May and that's the big stage for big bomb shells. *Tongue in cheek*
