Well, that's another season over.

From the sounds of it Villa have been royally screwed over by VAR/ref. Crazy how much money they are going to lose out on thanks to a single decision.

Shocking decision!

We're by far the least deserving team of those to qualify for the Champions League through the league (because, come on, Spurs are total frauds and being allowed to compete in the UCL after coming 17th is a total sham), and it's disgusting to see what Villa have had to put up with. The refs in this country walk that fine line between too stupid to do their jobs effectively, but also looking like they're smart enough to pull off a bribe, purely because you can't believe anyone can be that blatantly bad at their job.

But that all being said, I won't complaint about us being in the UCL – I'll happily take it.

Now buy us a damn striker worth his salt and put us back in business, I'm tired of us only having stalled since Boehly and co. came in and made the dumb decision to sack Tuchel.

That Villa clip is ridiculous. The keeper had zero control of the ball and so it's fair game.

The level of refereeing in the PL has been shocking all season. VAR as a thing works well and should be used but the problem is the muppets watching the thing and all the red tape in regards what it can and can't call. It shouldn't make any difference if the ref has blown his whistle. If they spot something then the game should be stopped and taken back.

The disallowed Rogers goal was shocking, there was absolutely no reason for the referee to blow the whistle that early - it wasn't as if Rogers went flying in and took him out, the keeper got right up and tried to chase down the ball.

Regardless of the obvious injustice it was still a shocking performance from us and the fact that Newcastle lost makes it sting even more - if we had only got a point we would have made it to the CL again.

I would like to think we could have changed the game a bit more in the second half if we hadn't been down to 10 men but in truth Utd would have been over us all game anyway.

Definitely a horrible way to end the season given the form we had been in, and it's a sad way for Martinez' Villa career if that is to be his last game - if he had just let Hojlund shoot there was every chance he was going to miss it anyway given his lack of confidence

Amazing turn around with 3 goals in a short space of time.

Taking Malo Gusto off made all the difference, he was lost at sea… his profile isn’t a fullback who inverts, he can’t play that role and it showed (again).

Reece James settled us, gave us control and allowed other players to come into the game.

It would have been embarrassing if we’d lost!

Well that was nice

Haven't Chelsea won enough European trophies already? This would be the 5th in 13 years

6th! The Super Cup totally counts with how long it eluded us :p

Just over 40 minutes until the UCL final kick-off. Anyone else tuning in?

Hoping for an Inter win, but wouldn't be against Enrique winning it either after all he's gone through since he last won it with Barça. Hope it's a good one for us neutrals!

Absolute masterclass from PSG in that first half. By far the most comfortable I can remember seeing a team in a Champions League final for some time.

Feels like Inter need to actually turn up and for PSG to drop the ball almost completely to turn this around in the second half.

That's that then. Doue is a great talent.

Crazy to think that Villa are the only team to outplay PSG in any of the knockout games and we weren't far off beating them

They definitely deserve the win though, since the group stage they've been the standout team in the competition

And now it's four...

Biggest UCL final win since 1994, assuming they don't concede? Crazy

Lucas Hernandez will be only the 14th player to have won the treble twice after win PSG tonight (won it with Bayern back in 2020)

I only mention this because I totally forgot he'd moved to PSG :p
