killthenet Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Seems like Spain will probably win this easy now, they're causing England all sorts of problems
Happenstance Posted July 14 Posted July 14 We're gonna deserve to lose by a lot if England don't stop pissing around in defence.
Julius Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 We've come out here completely turned off. We're handing the ball back to Spain nonstop and then seem surprised that it's coming right back at us.
Julius Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Shocked to see Kane come off with 30 to go, purely because he's the captain, but had to be done. We've vacated the middle of the pitch for some reason during some of our attacks. Very odd.
Julius Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Seeing the ball come into Bellingham and being surrounded by four red shirts then him somehow getting the turn and shot away this is why we need to make sure we've got people available in the middle - why was he the only one?
Hero-of-Time Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Just now, Julius said: this is why we need to make sure we've got people available in the middle - why was he the only one? Because we are playing too deep and are far too slow on the break. It's been our problem in this whole tournament.

It's night and day compared to the first half, though, when there were arguably too many players filling up the middle of the pitch. At times it's like they've forgotten where their position is and where they've been winning duels -- like @Eddage said, Saka seems pretty disinterested in coming back and doing defending all of a sudden. It's all very odd
Julius Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Palmer on for Mainoo was absolutely the change to make. Mainoo has had a great tournament but went missing or just wasn't making the right challenges in the first half, shows a lot of attacking intent from Gareth too. Something we don't see too often, because it's not at all like-for-like. Anyways, momentum swings our way for a change. Let's see how this pans out.
Dcubed Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Finally, some proper aggressive and forward play! About time England woke up!

Hero-of-Time Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Look at that. We scored and then have once again taken our foot of the throttle. Shocking.
Eddage Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Good tracking back from Saka again… just leisurely jogging around…
Hero-of-Time Posted July 14 Posted July 14 2 minutes ago, Happenstance said: Unfortunately that was coming Yup. Scored the goal and then let them back in the game, as always.
killthenet Posted July 14 Posted July 14 England brought it on themselves the way they just stopped playing as soon as they scored
Happenstance Posted July 14 Posted July 14 I do think that part of our problem is the percentage of shit haircuts in the team. It has to be a massive distraction. 3
Hero-of-Time Posted July 14 Posted July 14 That's it done. Now someone go fire Southgate for an absolutely shoddy performance in a tournament that was handed to us on a plate, especially with the quality we have in the squad.
