Owen Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Nintendo also said it was adding voice chat to the sci-fi action game "Metroid Prime: Hunters," available March 20. We knew that though didn't we? Well i knew.
DCK Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Weeeeee download on DS!!! Wait - I don't have a wireless network
Guest Jordan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 ...So basically its what they are doing in Japan. Nothing else?
Guest Jordan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I gotta admit, the whole voice chat over Metroid is quite random. Before and After? We all know how bad the DS microphone is, are they finally gunna release a headset?
ShadowV7 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Well im stunned with the lack of the news, thought there woulda been something decent....there will probably be a headset from nintendo with a clearer mic, kinda like what GAME done
MunKy Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Well I am severely dissapointed. Thanks Nintendo.
Charlie Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Nintendo also said it was adding voice chat to the sci-fi action game "Metroid Prime: Hunters," available March 20. Woot! Not during games though
Smowza Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 is that it?? 45 minutes speech and thats all we get?
DCK Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I doubt that's it. I even doubt that piece of news made his speech. If it was, glad I wasn't hyped
system_error Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I thought that download service means that you can get demos if you are near a certain hotspot. I understood it the way that some stores will offer them but you won't get them if you go just online or connect to Nintendo WiFi!
GigaPlay Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I didn't expect much, but I'm glad to hear there'll be voice chat in Hunters, though, not during the game? That's not that fun, I prfer to be saying "FFS! TEH 1337 H4XX0RZ!!!1!" while playing. Nothing that great, maybe we'll see something at the next event. I don't know when that is, but it's 3 months and a bit at the most, right? =D
king.kong.33 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 i guess the great part about incidents like this is it can help prove who the fakers out there are like bloggers and stuff. so yeah it will be interesting to see what excuses they start making up now.
Owen Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I would of fell asleep if i was in the audience, personally. It's all stuff that gamers would not be surprised with and really expect. I mean how long have we said on here that we noticed a mic symbol on the DS? We know a headset is coming out, i'm not at all surprised it's with Metroid Prime: Hunters as it's Nintendo's next biggest DS title. Really dissapointed but not surprised, which is quite contridicting. Lets hope for a last minute announcment!
ShadowV7 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Crap that voice isnt during the game, even if it was friends only it still would of been good.Im guessing headset will be bundled with Hunters.Wooooo
Hellfire Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I think it's already over. You have no reason to be mad at Nintendo or anything, they never said they'd anounce anything. Still I guess some fakers were unmasked for good (cough cough no end soon cough cough)
Jamba Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Come on.. did anybody even think No End Soon was real? It's just NES for short plus its a crap name. If I made a title called that I would be embarassed to show my face.
Hellfire Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 That's great proof that it's fake. lol Not that I believe or believed it, but there are lots of games with crappy names and yet, they're real.
ShadowV7 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 The only good news ,which was voice chat.Turned out to be not so good since it isn't in game.A hacker might be able to though.Hope we can download demos and that from our own hotspots
Hellfire Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 With some proper tools you can dowload demos from the internet, som are already available. I prefer voice chat outside of the game.
Owen Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I think it's already over. You have no reason to be mad at Nintendo or anything, they never said they'd anounce anything. Still I guess some fakers were unmasked for good (cough cough no end soon cough cough) Supposadely Nintendo Power stated to watch out for Reggie at the D.I.C.E and what he has to say. Personally i think thats blowing it up a little don't you?
Dyson Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Fine by me. I'll be honest, I was expecting a bit more, but there we have it. Voice chat, though? Not at all bad.
Smowza Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 maybe they want less lag.... or the ds just isn't capable (power wise) of online play with voice?
skarmachild Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Just a little, not that big-a news. Oh well, its still good news. Just not amazing.
