skarmachild Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 *checks age* oh; that explains it then. NOM was not funny. It stopped being funny when Dave McComb took over, and basically made it into pokécentral and set its stall out to entertain the young'uns with its plastic humour(ie-they were trying to be funny; real funny is when youcan be funny even when they're not trying to be). Tim Street further ruined the mag, and I for one am glad I have not been a regular reader for quite some time. You sir, are a complete bastard. I know NOM don't try to be funny sometimes, but I find it hilarious even when they don't. They were immature true, but it's hilarious IMO. I loved NOM in the olden days, before Dave McComb, loved it when Tim Street was there, and I'm sure will love it now. I don't just collect NOM, I collect Edge too, which is much more informative and interesting, and I oddly collect Games.
masaki86 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 You sir, are a complete bastard. woah; calm down matey; i think the magazine is weak. I have a different opinion, and a valid one. No need to get touchy all of a sudden is there? Calm down, it's just a magazine, and at its heart, it is a kiddy mag. Oh; and if you loved it in the old days, just when were you reading from? The last editor who was a good un was Dave Upchurch. When he left pre-N64, I lost my interest tbh.
skarmachild Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 woah; calm down matey; i think the magazine is weak. I have a different opinion, and a valid one. No need to get touchy all of a sudden is there? Touchy? Heh, no. I love that swear word and often use it, I respect your opinion but I think differently. I made a yearly subscription to the new NOM and hope to get it Feb 8th. As long as they have an awesome Metroid Prime Hunters review/preview
Locky Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 What forum was this? I read it on Gamesradar so I wouldn't be sure it was right but it makes sense that the new mag will follow on seamlessly from the old, especially as this info was announced a few months ago. Also, that cover picture might just be a mockup rather than what the first issue will actually look like. We'll see I suppose!
Kurtle Squad Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 You lot should stop fucking arguing about whether it was good or not. What happens to people that had subscriptions with teh old NOM?!
skarmachild Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Good question, and I really don't know the answer. Email Emap or something and you'll probly get your moolah back.
Locky Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 What happens to people that had subscriptions with teh old NOM?! Have a look here at mysega.co.uk for some info on that. (The Chandra mentioned is the new magazine's editor.)

skarmachild Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Chandra has his own band, and looks familiar.
Locky Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Chandra has his own band, and looks familiar. Oh yeah, he is in a band - just read that on Gamesradar. Here's some info: http://www.overplay.co.uk/band.asp?band_id=1000271

system_error Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I wonder if those 4 pages about Capcom will really have actual games for the Revolution or just speculation.
Sprout Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Now that looks sexy. Hopefully the content will be as good as the cover.
