Actually no, made that one a long time ago. Just added a few bits to it recently though so decided to test it out again. Think it's a stage that works better with at least 3 players though, as with only 2 there's less crossing over the gap in the middle, and less opportunity for meteor smash KOs. 1

I thought what happened as I was sure I was on top of the stage but we both went straight down. Guess you caught me just off stage.

Tethering to Victory Each character here has some kind of implement they can use to grab either the ledge (The Belmont's whips), or another character (Yoshi's tongue) from afar. Make sure you remember which one each character can do. Wouldn't want to try and grab someone from a distance with someone like Byleth now, would we? That'd be very embarrassing. Be aware that if you play as Pokémon Trainer, you can only play as Ivysaur. The stages tonight have no holes in the middle of the stage, but they do have holes, I expect to see some clutch tether recoveries here. The item settings are the standard fare. Format: 3 Stock, 10 minutes FS Meter: Off Custom stages at 7:30pm. Edited March 22 by Glen-i 2

Anyway, cheers for the games all. Nah, it was fun. Sometimes you need a nice focused 1 on 1 to cleanse the pallette. And there's nothing wrong with picking a character you like to play with. BowserBasher Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Glad I made it back for some matches after a day out with the girlfriend. I can’t believe @Glen-i stole one of my KOs just because Bayonetta got the last hit with a bullet whilst I was pummelling someone with final smash. Great to see a 4 player SD too.

It's a total crapshoot, but if you have the free time during one of those "pummel before big hit" style Final Smashes, the trajectory of her neutral B, the almost non-existent knockback and the high fire-rate on the bullets makes her one of the best characters for blatant KO theft. Might as well try in that scenario, what have you got to lose? Well, apart from your dignity. That was disgusting on my part. Would, and will, do it again. Holding A after doing an air attack is another great method to do this. Forward Air is normally the most reliable attack. Edited March 30 by Glen-i

I think the previous best was like 3. But yeah 5 times in a row, the same two people getting the same character. With the number of characters there are, you’d think it just couldn’t happen like that. I also notice that each week we seem to get a selection of stages and then the next week seems to be a different set (for the majority of the night). Even with all stages in the random mix.

Even with all stages in the random mix. I think something similarly weird is happening with "random" select on custom stages, it seems to love my DK barrels and Pokéball of doom stages.

Speaking of DK barrels have you edited that in any way lately? Both me and @Glen-i died by falling off the right hand side middle level. It seemed that there was some other wind forcing us down when we got passed the edge.

But that stage is pretty broken as it's one of the first ones I ever made, so yeah, it could do with some edits. If it gets selected by "random" select for a third week in row I'll fix it.
Glen-i Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Another big Direct, another opportunity for me to not actually think up a theme! Directly to Switch 2! Every character here is showing up in some game that is coming to Switch 2. For the sake of not having too much bloat, I'm not counting GameCube games, games that are already on Switch 1, and Switch 2 Editions of Switch 1 games. Except Metroid Prime 4, and Pokémon Legends Z-A, as those games aren't even out yet. Yes, I am making a couple of assumptions. I'm assuming Pichu is in Legends Z-A because Pikachu is there, and I think it's prettty safe to say Ganondorf will show up in the new Hyrule Warriors at some point, given when it takes place. If you pick Pokémon Trainer, you are only allowed to use Charizard. There is a costume restriction as well. Bowser Jr. - No Koopalings allowed Spoiler Stages and items match up with the series the characters are from. Had to expand the scope there, otherwise we'd only be playing on Midgar and Lumiose City. Format - 3 Stock, 10 Minutes FS Meter - Off See you at 7:30 for the usual half hour custom stage stuff. 2
