I'm currently trying to catch all of the legendary dogs for the first time ever, I've played through this game 3 times and have only ever caught Suicune so I've made it my mission this month to finally nab all 3.

Expand Haha, not sure on that one. Don't think so, probably too busy covering Detective Pikachu. I think he gave up on his, I think he needs to give up his username. 3

killthenet Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I managed to get Suicune after a lot of attempts and I've at least encountered the other two so have been tracking them. Entei is down to basically no health so I probably just need to find him one more time but he's being an elusive bugger. Still got my master ball so I think I'll just use that on Raikou when I finally manage to nab Entei. I'm playing Silver not Crystal, is there any way for me to encounter Celebi? Don't want to use my master ball on Raikou if there's still a rare Pokémon to catch.

killthenet Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Caught Entei pretty much straight after I posted in here last night and just caught Raikou after probably an hour of chasing him around the map. My playtime was at about 55 hours after finishing Kanto, beating Red and catching Ho-oh but it's now at 67 hours so I've basically spent half a day chasing the bloody dogs around. I'll probably fight the elite four a few more times and level my boys up a bit before moving on to other games. 2

I may have helped @Ugh first aid exploit Gen 1's incredibly buggy mechanics to guarantee a shiny Ditto, which I will now use to get many other Shinies. And then take over the world or something. 1

I landed on playing Crystal, mainly because I've never fully played it before. I decided that I wouldn't be allowed to use any Gen 1 Pokemon when playing this. I can catch them but just not use them. Picked Totodile for my starter and my current team is.. Totodile Hoothoot Phanpy Hoppip Spinarak Egg ...and I won the first badge yesterday morning. I had to take my 3DS to work with me on the days my mate was driving. This allowed me to catch some of the early morning Pokemon on the way to work, otherwise I would have needed to wait until the weekend. Phanpy was a pain the backside. I gave up trying to weaken it and just lobbed Pokeballs every time it appeared. I was sick of him pegging it. Gonna do a bit of grinding while I look for Dunsparce because level wise, my team isn't that balanced at the moment. I do love all the little opening animations that the Pokemon do when they appear. Although I'm not sure about Geodude's. I mean..... Look, I know I'm trying to catch you but there's no need to call me that. 5
