drahkon Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Website Looks and sounds amazing. It plays incredibly well, too. Not sure if there's anything to discuss here. Just wanted to share it with you (even though I think everyone has probably already seen this )
dwarf Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I think it looks horrible, to be perfectly frank. Nintendo have shat on his dreams anyway - they might want to do a proper job of it at some point.
nekunando Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I think it looks horrible.. I'm so glad someone else said it I don't find it visually appealing in the slightest, despite the amount of work that clearly went into it
Cube Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Personally, I think N64 graphics have a great charm to them, especially the platformers. A "HD" version would be best done like Banjo-Kazooie on 360.

It's a pretty accurate replication with updated graphics. I was disappointed over a lack of Chain Chomp though.
Jonnas Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 People often go to extremes when talking about something. As if there was no middle point between "horrible" and "awesome". I think it looks good, but I don't think SM64 is the kind of game that was made for an HD update. The original Bob-omb Battlefield looked always busy with something, but this version looks utterly barren, what with the ground being made of green&brown chunks. It's the sort of simplistic aesthetic decision that made sense within the original's limitations, but not with the amount of options and resources available (and expected) today.
