The Wii U gets a third party game in Japan

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/02/12...s3-wii-u-game/

While Kamen Rider: Battride War was a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Bandai Namco will release Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 on PlayStation 3 and Wii U. This action game has a hodgepodge of Riders from fifteen Heisei era series. The previous game focused on the TV show Riders, Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 is about the Riders in the movie versions.

I hope that this game will allow for the gamepad to be turned off if you use another controller, or else whenever you'd play multiplayer or be a tournament you would have to ensure that the gamepad is plugged in.

What's this in reference to, SSB4? Wasn't sure if you ended up posting in le wrong thread.

Out of curiosity, is anyone up for doing a bit of research, or already know? @Ike? @serbii?

How many games did Nintendo DEVELOP from 2006-2010; and how many have the developed 2010-2014. It feels like they are well behind, but just wondered if it was actually the case.

Out of the big games they showed yesterday for example, one was made by 2nd party Retro, one by 2nd party monolith, one by 3rd party Platinum and only one by 1st party Nintendo!

Last year wasn't much better, same with launch. What are they working on!!

Throw in Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U for 2013.

That list paints a pretty clear picture, the number of 1st party games Nintendo are releasing per year have been pretty consistent since the Wii launched. Not often you get big titles like Mario Kart and Smash Brothers (and who knows what else) in the same year.

Because I missed it out. :p
haha, no that's fine I just never know how the studio's thing works!...

Prime 3 was 2007,

then there's Excitetruck, Excitebots, Another Code R, PunchOut, Endless Ocean 1 & 2 etc...

I don't know what counts and what doesn't :p

Another Code R was Cing (RIP). Endless Ocean was Akira. ExciteTruck/Bots were done by Monster Games, right? Were Nintendo involved? I don't know.

I'll add PunchOut.

Was hyped to see a new punch out unveiled last night...and gutted it was just Little Mac in Smash Bros.

They are holding onto their titles for E3. Especially the Next Level/Monster made games. They will need something to show against the backdrop of PS4/One titles.

An Indie reel would have been nice...

I know these are considered 1st party but I'd be thinking of games developed internally.

Problem was that they were all released in the last half of the year. If you didn't like Monster Hunter then you were left twiddling your thumbs for 6 months.

Very true, 2014 looks better with a couple of big games in the first half and probably a few more in the second half.

Interesting pattern there, if correct.

1st "year" = 3 or so games

2nd year 6/7 games

3rd year = 6 games

remaining full years about 3 games.

extrapolating from the list, I'd expect one or two more "solid" games, maybe 2/3 ok games (so 6 altogether) and maybe another HD remake this year.

Yeah, last year could have been much better if the games were spread out more. I was happy enough ploughing 500+ hours into Monster Hunter though. :D

That's reaching a bit. I mean it's like saying Naughty Dog wouldn't count for Sony because they aren't based within SCEJ.

It depends how you view 2013 too and what you're after...

New Super Luigi U - felt just like more 2D Mario after NSMB2 and NSMBU

Pikmin 3

Super Mario 3D World

Wii Fit U - Very few bought it and just continue to use Wii Fit

Game & Wario - Was pants and no one bought it

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - Possibly just stuck with the original

Wii Party U - Very few bought it

Although I'd probably buy Wii Party U and maybe Wii Fit.

I don't think it's stretching it. What Retro do over in Texas should have no affect on EAD's production over in Tokyo or Kyoto or any other studio for that matter.
