Jonnas Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 We're one vote away, I believe (assuming Yvonne's double vote is real) Mafia have failed 3 night kills in a row... it hardly surprises me that votes are accumulating for reasons completely irrelevant to guilt (namely, poor level of play). Lynching someone for inactivity is a consequence of lack of info more than anything else. And it's still a pretty valid reason (an inactive is either dead weight for the town or a pawn for the mafia).
Cube Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Yvonne (2): Sheikah, Mr-Paul Jonnas (1): DuD Jimbob (4): Jonnas, Yvonne, Diageo, DuD Chief Security Officer's Log Stardate 66275.5: The interrogation was not going well as the subject, Captain Riker, was uncooperative. The ambassador, a close friend of the subject, was unable to get through to him. As a result, I was ordered to perform a Mind Meld and I have uncovered his true identity. @Mr\-Paul @Nintendohnut @Rummy @Sheikah @The Peeps @Yvonne

He's also a buffer against Mafia majority, if town (which Dohnut's message hints towards). We'll see who was right anyway if the lynch goes down, heh.
Yvonne Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I'm not "stirring", I'm asking for common courtesy. And "u mad bro" is not even what I was talking about. This is about general behaviour.
Sheikah Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I'm not "stirring", I'm asking for common courtesy. And "u mad bro" is not even what I was talking about. This is about general behaviour. Well as I've also said on more than one occasion, I find your general behaviour throughout many games to be rude and condescending, so it's wasted words Yvonne.
Yvonne Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 In future, if something I say upsets you, please just tell me, and we can discuss it. What I'm asking for is really not much. Either you realise what you're doing and you don't care, which is sad, or you don't realise, which is sadder. If any one of these other players said something like that to me, I'd be pretty shocked, but you do it a lot, and people put up with it, but every time I read something like "your play is pathetic" "you're talking bollocks" "your contribution is worthless" it makes me want to play less. You possess the ability to get across your points without saying things like this. I don't want a shouting match where we try to score points off each other, I just want to play a game and have fun, and it's all I'm asking for. You must be able to have an enjoyable game of mafia without putting down other players.
Nintendohnut Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Well why don't we all just agree to polite and go to sleep? Two wrongs don't make a right and all that. Wouldn't it be nicer if we all just said we'd be polite rather than saying "well I think you're rude too, so I'm not going to stop because you aren't going to either!" It's only a game after all, there's no need to get personal as it will really just stop people enjoying the game. Might as well just all agree not to be rude/condesending/whatever when it's unnecessary, right? It's not like it's a massive effort - let's all just try not to say anything that people might find insulting. Then we don't even have to have the discussion. I'm not siding with anyone, just saying that we could all just agree rather than being rude just because other people are also doing so. AAAAAAND...SLEEEP!

You must be able to have an enjoyable game of mafia without putting down other players. I appreciate this is night and that talk about the game is prohibited, but this extends to beyond this game and I have been presented with an unfair series of comments. I have pointed it out to you before when you have been condescending, and you have done nothing. You know you're being condescending. The innocent/unaware act isn't going to work. The problem here lies with your perception of my use or language. When I say 'sounds like bollocks', that's not offending anyone. And if it is, they should grow a pair. Really, offensive? You're also pulling things out of context to make them sound rude, when really they weren't. I believe the other comments relate to Jimbob. I'm not going to mince words here; him not taking an active part in the vast majority of games does make his contribution pretty worthless. I don't see how the truth is offending anyone, not least you. This really is a case of not making a big deal, stop making snide remarks to specifically my comments (there are plenty of people who have said far more insulting comments than I have and you never say anything). Funnily enough I play these games for enjoyment too, and it always seems to be you spoiling it for me.
Diageo Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Oh come on. Have the fun in the game is trying to rile people up to try and get them to mess up. Or pretending to be offended so you seem more genuine. It's just a game. All discussions and opinions found in these games are personas put on to win the game. You don't get angry when someone in the game lies to you so don't get pissy if someone says something emotionally charged. It's very easy to get over it. I only haven't thanked Diageo's post because I seem to be thanking all of them lately.. Still, Jimbob is very easily disposable to settle this.. and so Vote: Jimbob Don't be shy. You don't want your thanks to just go unused.
Cube Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 (edited) “I’m really disappointed in the both of you. You both know the rules of this ship” “Sir...” “I did not allow you to talk. You are both confined to quarters until further notice.” “But what about...” “He was trying to stop you. Now, are you going to go quietly or do I have to call security.” The ambassador had not been in his quarters for way too long - he had missed a few sessions of the negotiations, which was most unlike him. The captain, a very close friend of the ambassador, decided to check up on him. After overriding the lock on the door, he discovered the ambassador, slumped in his chair. There was no pulse “Medical emergency in Admiral Picard’s quarters” After thorough checks by the medical staff, it was announced that Jean Luc Picard had died of natural causes. @Mr\-Paul @Nintendohnut @Rummy @Sheikah @The Peeps @Yvonne 8 players remain. The majority is 5. Edited May 5, 2013 by Cube
Mr-Paul Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 So who would like to admit to ordering me to targeting Yvonne, then? By the format of the PM, it was the same person who redirected me two nights ago.
Sheikah Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 So who would like to admit to ordering me to targeting Yvonne, then? By the format of the PM, it was the same person who redirected me two nights ago. It can only be Jonnas really. And to be honest, I don't blame him.
Mr-Paul Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 That was my guess too. Unfortunately nothing was gained from me going to Yvonne as I'm not an info gatherer, so thanks for wasting my night's action
Sheikah Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 @Cube were all the deceased town? Just for confirmation.
Cube Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 @Cube were all the deceased town? Just for confirmation. Thanks for pointing that out - yes, they were both town.
Yvonne Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 For today I am a tree stump, due to night talk. I'm not allowed to vote.
Sheikah Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I was confined to quarters for last night's talk, so I couldn't do anything. In terms of balancing this, as Cube was administering on-the-fly punishment I'm more inclined to believe that he wouldn't punish a townie and a neutral with town intentions, while also allowing two town deaths. I think it's more likely Yvonne is Mafia.
Jonnas Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 @Mr\-Paul, I did redirect you yesterday, but that was my first time redirecting you. The first time must've been Magnus. Also, I was visited by the white light (Nintendohnut) yesterday, and what it told me convinces me that mr-paul is good (which is why I apologize for redirecting you, paul) One thing I noticed, though, is that a lot of our actions are accounted for this night: mr-paul were redirected, I was the one who did it, Diageo and Jimbob are innocent, Nintendohnut targeted me, and Sheikah&Yvonne were grounded. Which leaves DuD, Peeps and Rummy as one of the killers.
DuD Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I received a note explicitly saying Rummy is Mafia? Vote: Rummy

I wanted to target Rummy last night given how unusually quiet he has been as well as evading my question about who he targeted. I would be happy to lynch Rummy based on this. @DuD what kind of note? I don't remember anyone receiving notes thus far?
The Peeps Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I targeted Yvonne last night and discovered that he is Guinan, whoever that is :p
