dwarf Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 What are they? Any good deals? I want to nom on them.
Tales Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Total War: Medieval II is 10 euros, should include the expansion pack. Only one I have downloaded.
nightwolf Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 There's a lovely list: Team Fortress 2 - free Magicka - Dirt cheap, get all the expansions too Trine 2 - About £11 Realm of the Mad God - Free Plants Vs Zombies - £6.99 Orcs must die - Currently £2.99 but is usually £11.99 Terraria - £5.99 There's the ones I'd definitely recommend, a few more: Limbo - £6.99 Dungeon defenders - £9.99 (play as a group.) Left 4 dead 1 & 2 I think that's quite a few there, I'm sure people have way more to introduce to you.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Are you serious? "Best games available on Steam"? Are you aware of the amount of games there are on it? It's got pretty much everything... oO
dwarf Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 I made it broad because I'm not strictly asking for Steam-specific stuff. I'm asking to bring your suggestion A-game, aiiiiiight?
The Bard Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box and LA: Noire are both going for dirt cheap at the moment. As for best games on Steam, shit, that's a broad question. If you want to start a collection, it's best to wait for one of Valve's ridiculous summer sales, where pretty much everything goes for stupid prices. Here are, in my mind, the essentials: Company of Heroes (This game is not for stupid people.) Stalker: Clear Sky Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl The Half Life Series (Start with 2, the first is old and far too difficult. Wikipedia story.) Left 4 Dead 2 Portal 1 + 2 Machinarium TF2 Crysis 2 DX:HR Torchlight Bad Company 2 Bethesda Games (way better on PC)
Cube Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Also keep an eye out for the Humble Bundles. They have collections of indie games and you pay what you want - choosing how much goes to charity and how much goes to the developers.
Ramar Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 If you've not got Counter-Strike: Source you might as well uninstall Steam.
Emasher Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I would wait until one of the big sales to buy a whole bunch of stuff (there's one every few months), but I would say the must have titles are: -Anything by Valve -Crysis -Anything by Bethesda -Various GTA games -Aquaria -Just Cause 2 -The Civilization series -The Total War series Just skimming quickly though my collection. Of course, besides maybe Valve and Bethesda games, I wouldn't really bother if you've already played the console versions of said games.
nightwolf Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Are you serious? "Best games available on Steam"? Are you aware of the amount of games there are on it? It's got pretty much everything... oO Of course, but I'm sure Dwarf is aware of that, hence asking for opinions, herp derp.
Ike Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 The best game on steam, that is until they release I&II Chronicles
