DiemetriX Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 After seeing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=ZYyCK7eW1-A&search=gamecube this: http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=SLlGSQHDwKc&search=gamecube and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=yX3W8ipIADI Im sure that Cube is the strongest console. I doubt a 360 would survive that.
jakeee Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I have seen the first and the third of those videos. GC took a nice amount of damage in the 2nd video :p
Enigma Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 *shivers* It pains me to see consoles being treated that way. I even felt a little sorry for the PS2 and XBOX. (very little, though) No surprise the Cube survived, though. Nintendo = quality.
DiemetriX Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 No surprise the Cube survived, though. Nintendo = quality. I doubt the revolution will survive as much.
Enigma Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I doubt the revolution will survive as much. Who knows... The Cube, the smallest of the three tested, survived, so why not the Revolution?
ShadowV7 Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Dunno if rev would survive or not,it could but then again the plastic on rev doesnt look as firm as the cubes, revs looks a bit flimsy
Konfucius Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Dunno if rev would survive or not,it could but then again the plastic on rev doesnt look as firm as the cubes I think the Revo's case is made out of metal. The Cube most likely is so strong because it was built with portability in mind. Nice find Diemetrix btw I like these tests a lot.
Daisy Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Console torture a favorite pastime as a child, well these just go to show that Ninteno's products are quality even for non gaming purposes.
Destiny Blade Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 what did you type in to find that stuff console torture but still very funny second video rules the third one scared me that lady was not normal
Hal_9Million Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 I wonder how the slimline PS2 would fare? I don't think it would last. I can usually tell the build quality of something just from holding it. It's to do with weight/size ratio. The Gamecube, despite it's size is avtually quite heavy i think. The PS2 is very light for it's size. I find that consoles with better build quality are slightly heavier. That's just based on personal experience might i add, not fact.
Kurtle Squad Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 The PSP wouldnt survive a pea dropping on it!!
faz99 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 On the second vid, how on earth does the gamecube turn on at the end. HOW!? its in two halves! I think its the cd drive that fell out. I have never seen a GC so damaged in my life, and it still works, lol.
mario114 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Nintendos consoles are built like bricks, take the gb for example, i am sure i read on here about one suving a bomb and anouther being flused down a loo.
The fish Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 It was the DS that got flushed down the loo, but the Gameboy that suvived a bomb in a US troop barracks in Iraq in the first war proves that the massive chunky plastic case is for a purpose... Edit:YAY the thingy below my name has changed to settled in!
