Retro_Link
http://www.cubed3.com/news/16368 Max Factory had previously announced they would be bringing out a figma of Samus Aran a while back now. This week at Comiket 81 though, they reiterated the fact that the famous bounty hunter, clad in Varia Suit armour, would be available to buy sometime in 2012. However, Good Factory are putting together a 1/6 PVC version of Ms Aran in her sexy Zero Suit getup. This figure has a more firm release date of June 2012. No prices have been revealed as of yet though. Look Amazing!
Sméagol
Thanks! I’ll be pre-ordering as soon as possible! I’ve always wanted Samus figures from Japanese companies, I hate the F4F stuff. Both look hot. Although I read the powersuit version is a Figma. That said, the powersuit lends itself more for jointed figures, so I guess it¨s not a problem (I’m generally not a fan of posable figures). Is that what a Figma is, a posable figurine? It looks really great for one in that case, and almost makes me like it more, providing it's very versatile! @Grazza, yeah looks incredible! Sméagol
Yeah, Figma is a series of posable action figures. I don’t like joints, so I stay away from action figures, but like I said, things like Samus’ powersuit, and the EVAs from Evangelion to name another example, lend themselves well for these kind of figures. I believe the professor Layton action figure someone here has, is also a Figma.
Retro_Link
It would be amazing if they did some Link figures! I don't feel First4Figures have ever really got his face right. The Link on Epona figure isn't too bad, but just looking at the face this company has done for Samus I think they could do a really good job! Ike
They are up for preorder on HLJ.com. Zero Suit Samus is £55 though and that's not including postage (and customs). The Varia suit version is a bit better £27.
Retro_Link
Hmm... do I order or not? Can anyone guess how much would postage be? Tbh, those prices are bargains compared to the First4Figure stuff, which isn't as good! I LOVE tha Varia Suit figure, all of it's poses look amazing!! Cube
Just a warning: If you select FedEx they will send you a bill for the customs charge (20%, so around £5.50 for the Varia Suit) and an extra fee of £10.
Sméagol
Can anyone guess how much would postage be?.. Last figure that I bought has a shippingcost of Â¥1,180 which apparently is £ 9.78224. This is the cheapest option, but I’m generally a patient man. So that should be similar if you only want one figure. Although, like Cube said, you may (and probably will) be charged customs and taxes, which will be higher than the shippingcosts. I pre-ordered them both.
