Pick a match. It's after the match summary.

Cheeers. Done.

There's just one thing that I've yet to decide, but I'll sort that out later. Pretty confident I can get a victory, and get some youth developed!

Is it sad when you treat these players as if they're actually players in real life? I've already got nicknames for some of my lads. :hmm:

I personally wouldn't have wasted money on a tactics report for an inactive team when you're pretty much guarenteed a win anyway, could have just looked at what his formation has been in his last few games and their team stats to give you an idea of what to expect...but that's just me!

I received 1 464 500 econ in a financial event today, not bad not bad! Much needed in fact, that's more money than i've had since about this time last season!!!

Lower League Round 3

The Comerade Co-op - Fedex United 4-0

The Comerades barely faced any resistance as they greeted their visitors in round 3. After a few close ones the home team scored the first at 23 minutes by header from Chmutov. Bulatov followed shortly after a long shot from the middle passing pretty much everyone bar the away keeper. In second half Trubnikov scored the third. A hands on approach from the away team in the keeper’s zone gave the Comrades a penalty Miloradovich put in with relatively ease. Yachmenev gained an injury just before the whistle. Looks like he will be out for a while.

Hammerboys FC – Zimmertron FC 4-0

Another clean home victory as Hammerboys took on Zimmertron. Goodfellow started the match with a header at 5 minutes. Playing a big midfield the home team continued with numerous chances. Henrikson scored the second assisted with the previous scorer. In second half McCall and Gilchrist scored the last two goals of the match.

DuDs Baggies - Dragooooo 2-2

Two newcomers faced eachothers at the baggies field Whorethorns in what probably was the most exciting match of the round. The home got the lead at 8 minutes with a freekick straight in the goal by the freekick specialist Chalerm. But home team equaled just seven minutes later by a corner from Loeben who Barculo put in. After a few disagreements with the referee that resulted in two yellow cards for the away team, the teams went to the locker room with a tie. In second half the Baggies once again got the lead with another freekick from Chalerm who sent it to Norcott. And once again the away team equaled, this time using slightly more time, with a shot from inside the 16-meter from Barculo. No more goals happened in this match but Fesked got a red card for an thoughless assault on Rodwell as he tried to secure all 3 points in the final minutes.

Besaid Aurochs – Emo Blades 0-4

Our third match this round where only one team scored but this time it was the visiting teams Emo Blades. Playing an offensive 4-3-3 the visitors took control of the match having the most chances and possession. The match started off early with a longshot from Forsyth at 8 minutes. Ten minutes later he headed in the second with Coisorró

scoring the third at 25 minutes. Sheene scored the fourth and last in second half.

Ganja Farmers FC – Cubic County 1-5

Not surprisingly Cubic County had no problems taking care of the Farmer whose couch and management has been missing since late August. Noble headed in the first Maupus heading in the second. Maupas assisted with the third McGovern headed in the third in second half. Somehow with a very lucky longshot from Patton and a poor decision from County’s keeper the Farmers managed to bring some hope to the two supporter that came for the match. However Maupas and Goald increased the count to four with a freekick a few minutes later and to five by header from McGovern. Patton gained an injured at 90 minutes.

Most Important Result – With no changes in top three and with them all playing against no shows or significantly weaker teams there’s no point in giving this one out.

Best Stylish Performance – Recovering from the home draw the Blades returns with a flashing away victory.

Player of the Round – Barculo, Dragooooo, for single handily taking home 1 point.

Interviews

Mcoy

Mcoy takes a seat and gives Tales a rather serious stare. An awkward silence lingers in the air for 30 seconds before Mcoy gives a nod of approval for Tales to start the interview.

For the first time in six years you are back in the middle league. Is this just a one time visit or is the new competition and increasing standards signalling the fall of Mcoys Sons?

Mcoy's fall to middle league was due to our team playing like garbage. Even then Mcoy didn't realize he would find himself in a dump so smelly, so repugnant, so awful that Mcoy has to hate every team equally In this league.

Mcoy dosen't plan to stay In the middle league for long and Mcoy aims to make every teams life a misery while he's here. Mcoy Is the neighbour everyone hates or will come to hate. Mcoy Is the person who has awful taste in music, brings 20p bottles of wines to guest dinners and leaves his car parked an eigth over their spot.

What kind of transportation does the team and management use for away matches?

Mcoy and his sons used to enjoy a quality first class limo to the stadium and all other locations. Free booze, food and sex would always be supplied taking up 40% of the sons annual budget.

After the relegation Mcoy has reduced this budget and him and his team now share a garbage truck to the stadium. Mcoy even offers a service for dumping everyones rubbish at away stadiums, the middle league Is a perfect place for the garbage market.

Last week it was known that the management has bought a trip to Mars for the team and management, setting the club back 435 billion econs. Assuming no delays departure is set at December 20th 2012 making you the first to set foot on the planet. Why are you doing this and what are your plan once you get there?

Mcoy has always had a fascination with Mars. Ever since Mcoy was born on this planet he has found himself alone with no one to really call a friend or partner. Mcoy last year may have found a possible way to clone himself and solve this problem once and for all.

There's no friend like yourself. Mcoy Is unfortunately forced to obey xpert and international human rights laws that prohibit this kind of experimentation and action. Mars will solve all these problems and allow Mcoy to be happy for the rest of time.

Haden

You are the longest surviving team in the Upper League, not set foot in the lower divisions in 18 years. But many people are now pointing at the downward pattern the last 5 years and foreshadow the return to the Middle League. What is your take on this?

The last few seasons have been tough for us we like to think we are a top tier side but haven't been challenging for the title much in recent seasons. I will always try and keep United in the top league and earn a top 3 finish however if that day came and we went down it would be a hard thing to take but a super opportunity for youth development. Teams such as Bayern Bru, Essex Elites and Roostophe Rovers and as you can see this season the 64s and Mcoys Sons have gone down and come shooting back up with improved squads, so if it does happen I hope I can follow that pattern!

Tell us about your favourite rivalry.

Well I had to big rivalries in the past those were with the 64s who was a big rival that usually found ways to beat me. Bayern Bru was a big one as we had some great banter and good games but they are locked in a huge rivalry with the Elites atm so I will pick Madpool!

This is a rather recent rivalry but a big favorite because we usually have such entertaining games. He has the edge at the moment and beat me 4-2 at my ground so I want some revenge!

Congrats on winning the Nobel Peace prize. The committee has already given their explaination, but why do you think you got it? How do you feel about getting it? You were also given a 10 million cash bonus. How are you going to spend them?

Thanks being the admin of the league and stopping the 30 other managers from constantly attacking each other in the game and real life is really hard so I was glad to get some recognition for this! I am going to spend it on a theme park that one of my divas demanded be built in his contract, I can also use it to distract Rez next time he plays at my ground!

Haha, I'll cry when that happens.

I've made a bold move and decided to transfer list some of my players, including a midfielder who is 28 7. I really want to get another midfielder in with intelligent/intelligence and preferably stamina, and this one only has heading ability, which isn't really what I'm looking for. My thinking is that I'm going to use this season to develop players and get them working together. Not expecting anything fancy. Just getting into the ropes of the game and building a young team that will last for a long, long time. So, the younger the better for me. They also need skills!

That's what Oddy did when he restarted his team a year or so ago and look at him now. Build a young team which is strong and you'll be a very strong side in a few seasons time!

Yeah, that's what I plan on doing. I need to get the teamwork values up, so building a team that develops together should sort that out. I expect to get hammered somewhere along the line, which will hurt now, but it's good for the team in the longrun.

When Mcoy started he got promoted to the middle league. Decided to start up a fresh squad and got completely destroyed (mostly because of a bad youth goalie)

Mcoy was able to recover after that and build on from there. Mcoy recommends keeping a veteran goalkeeper as they make all the difference.

I've got a 28 6 keeper who I've got no trouble with, so far. Is the skill level limit-less, or is there a limit that players will hit eventually? I'm thinking of just sticking with this guy, til he gets into his mid-30s and then promoting a second keeper. It's not really a priority for me right now.

Posted

Realistically you'll not get better than a 16 year old 6 rated youth, so with a couple of dumble jumps and going up every year they'd max out as a 32 year old 24 rated player. I've never seen that. That's practically impossible. A very very good player is an 18 rated player. My forward Fritjof Tygesen is a 23 10, and I'm super chuffed with him. He'll maybe top out as a 14/15. Once they hit the late 20s it is hard to develop players, and at that point you need to be focussing on the next batch of young dudes.

Posted

I wouldn't work on 'batches' though! You need a good mix of youth, middle aged, and vets. For one, you need an average age of 26 to get the best from your match squad. 2) if you've got loads of youth players they'll all become good at the same time, but then all retire at the same time and you'll have no one to take their place.

My squad is in another transition period I feel. My title push last season didn't work so this season I'm concentration on my youth and bringing in players who will help out in the long run.

Posted

The 26-average is out. It only needs to between 25 and 29 now for maximum performance and dv gain. If it's say 21 it's 80% I think. Look for the article about the dv introduction for more.

N-Euro Middle League Round Four

The top of the league table is unsurprisingly filled with the three teams demoted from the elite league last season, though Intergalactico Stars appear to be having a tougher time than the other two. Happenstance FC are on the same points, Rising Phoenix and Aqui1a All Stars aren't far behind either... it could end up being a tight race for third place. While on the other end of the table, Seahawks are narrowly avoiding relegation on goal difference as Bubbles, Real Peeps and ReZs Rabies are stuck at the bottom. All of the bottom four teams have yet to win a game though and that's all it would take for one of these teams to reset the balance.

****Intergalactico Stars 3-0 AFC ReZs Rabies***

Another poor show for the Rabies as the Stars have no problem shutting them out with 6 chances to zero and scoring three of them. Terry Hogan is substituted due to a light injury in the early minutes of the game allowing Ronaldo to come on and score the first goal. At half time it's 2-0 and the final goal is scored one minute into the second half. After a string of unsuccessful matches, rumours have it that ReZourceman is now receiving coaching tips from Mcoy himself. Mcoy obviously has nothing to fear from this team so is happy to impart some wisdom if it will spice up the lower end of the table and more importantly, pull back some of the other teams.

****Mcoys Sons 2-0 Seahawks FC***

Wary of Mcoy's winning streak, Seahawks decide to keep the opposing team away with brute force. Niles Alvarado of Mcoys Sons is stretchered off the pitch after only two minutes with a very nasty injury. Mcoys Sons recognised the tactic right away and fought back, giving the referee the hardest time of anyone in this game as he tried to keep track of all the shirt pulling and dirty tackles. Rising above the dirty play, Wyatt Rufus gets in position and is set up by Stephen Gaye to score the first goal. Inspired by this, the two teams attempt to play the game properly resulting in 52 minutes of unreportably boring football before Jean Pierre Grisard is sent off for brutal play, starting the rough play again. A last minute penalty is scored by Arthur Rossall and Mcoys Sons win 2-0, though they had a notably tough time of it with their only goals coming from a freekick and a penalty. Could their form be dropping?

****Happenstance FC 4-3 Bubbles FC****

Still sore from their defeat by All Stars, Bubbles had something to prove today and totally dominated the first half of the game. The team worked well together and were 2-0 up at half time. Perhaps getting a bit over-confident, Bubbles's players start to make some mistakes allowing Josh Harford of Happenstance FC to score from a free kick which inspired his teammates not to give up. 5 minutes later, Happenstance FC equalise with a header from a cross. Finbar Mery scores another goal for Bubbles in retaliation but their cocky gameplay results in another freekick being given away, scored once again by Josh Harford in the 83rd minute. Heroicjanitor may have welcomed the draw after his recent line of losses but he could not keep a tight enough rein on his players and Josh Harford is given one more chance to win the game for Happenstance FC. It's the 91st minute and the ref's whistle is about to blow. The pressure is on but Harford had eaten his weetabix that morning and was not phased. The ball nearly burst through the back of the net as the referee blew the final whistle resulting in a sorely needed victory for Happenstance FC.

****Rising Phoenix 0-2 The Sixty-Fourthers***

A remarkably quiet first half went by with no goals scored for either side but The Sixty-Fourthers enjoyed more possession and more chances. This trend continued as The Sixty-Fourthers dominated the second half, scoring both of their goals with little resistance from Rising Phoenix. The Sixty-Fourthers are completely level with Mcoys Sons now with only a goal difference of three separating them. As Mcoy have a tough time with Seahawks and The Sixty-Fourthers show no sign of slowing down, this could be a turning point for these two teams.

***Real Peeps 0-4 Aqui1a All Stars****

Another shut out and another loss for Real Peeps as All Stars walk all over them. Real Peeps left their defence wide open and Stars took full advantage, scoring three goals in the first half. Real Peeps kept fighting back and had as many shots on target as All Stars but just couldn't beat the keeper. Cameron Fogden scores the fourth goal two minutes into the second half and Real Peeps finally retreat back to their own half of the pitch to save themselves from further embarrassment. Darren Savage of Aqui1a All Stars makes a late play and is punished with a brutal tackle which will put him out of commission for the next few games.

Most Important Result: Happenstance FC 4-3 Bubbles FC, Perhaps getting a little bit lucky as three of their goals came from freekicks, Happenstance FC win nonetheless. This victory puts them in a great position, level with Intergalactico Stars (behind on goal difference). They have their work cut out for them next round away to The Sixty-Fourthers but they have a good chance of keeping up with Intergalactico Stars this season and may even steal a promotion spot from them.

Stylish Play: Intergalactico Stars, with the likes of Zidane and Ronaldo on their team it's a wonder how Intergalactico Stars have not received this award sooner. The team worked perfectly together, setting each other up and keeping the ball away from Rabies so well that they didn't even get a single chance to score.

Best Player: Josh Harford, Happenstance FC, Special mention again to Wyatt Rufus who was responsible for most of Mcoys Sons shots on target but Josh Harford takes the award this round as he keeps a cool and level head to score all three of Happenstance FC's freekicks.

Got a 17 4 keeper from youth -- replaced previous 19-4 from youth.

Team's looking quite strong, should win this next game comfortably.

I've not started using tactical subs yet....

Just seen that I was chosen for the round 4 manager in Xpert 11. That was nice. I remember looking at the squad and was a bit gutted none of my players were there, and didn't scroll down far enough to see the manager part.

Tomorrow...next set of matches. I've finalised my tactics. Hoping for a win, and anything other than that will be a massive disappointment.

N-Euro Elite League

Round 3

Recall United 0 - 2 Bayern Bru

Recall's third match in the top flight looked equally as daunting as their first two. Bru had bounced back from their opening day defeat and looked to continue winning ways.

Although Recall kept Bru at bay in the first half, there were signs that a Bayern goal was inevitable. Lindpere's goal in the 52nd minute came as no surprise.

The match was far beyond Recall, and so Rundberg's goal on 86 was a formality.

Recall finished with ten men after Daniil Koval was sent off deep into injury time for a second bookable offence.

Roostophe Rovers 0 - 1 Battlestar Odwinica

Rovers maintained an unbeaten streak at home all of last season, turning Monington Park into a fortress. Many were certain they could keep this up into the next season.

The visitors Odwinica played a very defensive game with a 5-3-2 formation. Rovers chose to counter that with a 4-3-3 offensive.

Although Rovers chose their traditional offensive game, it seemed their three-man attack didn't know this. Odwinica managed to shut out Rovers for the entire game, even having two chances on goal. One of which was converted in by Sherawat on 64, to give Odwinica the win at a difficult fixture.

Leeds M.O.T. 1 - 4 Essex Elites

The reigning champions' opening three fixtures were against the promoted teams. Such a fixture is often easy to predict, and this one was no exception.

Essex went into half-time 1-0 up after Brammer sent a freekick directly into the net.

Leeds took the early advantage in the second half and produced a shock equaliser on 52 when Marshall's headed in from Regina's corner kick.

It didn't last long, as Merton put the champions back in front just seven minutes later. Loss' goal on 77 removed any hope of a Leeds comeback, and Sharpe's 89th minute header was enough for the Elites.

Haden United 2 - 4 Madpool

This rivalry was recently marked by Haden as his favourite. Perhaps this is because it always produces a thrilling match-up.

There was drama in the very first minute when United were awarded a penalty. Roman Durov converted to put the hosts in front.

United looked to be going into the break as leaders, but then Ed Kent's chance went past a helpless Paschetta to make it all square.

After the restart, United and 'Pool were both on equal footing, but then Gay's corner cross-in connected with Sedgewick's head to put the visitors in front on 67.

United quickly made two substitutions, replacing Dotson and Longhi with Hindrikson and Sablone.

For a moment, this looked to be an inspired substitution. Sablone's cross was met with Marconossi's head for the second equaliser on 72.

However, it wasn't to last. Madpool were awarded a freekick three minutes later. Trainer and Hales collaborated to put the visitors back in the lead. Another three minutes, and it was four for 'Pool as Gay fired home on 78.

Dysonian Wanderers 1 - 1 Silverdale Hotpot

Wanderers were determined to bounce back after losing 3-0 to Odwinica, but it looked like their plan had gone monstrously wrong when Hotpot took an early lead six minutes in courtesy of Ronnie Scrimshaw's head.

It was a dour match at the Temple; Wanderers could not find a way back into the game.

Fortunately, hope arrived when Hope left. That is, Clifford Hope being sent off for two bookable offences. With Hotpot down to ten, Wanderers were able to use this to their advantage, and eventually Patrick Twigg's head equalised on 76 to spare Wanderers' blushes.

Most Important Result: Roostophe Rovers 0 - 1 Battlestar Odwinica, could be a very important result for both sides' title challenges.

Turned on the Style: Essex Elites, thundering into the title picture with a resounding away victory.

Most Important Player: Archie Gay, Madpool. A striker who sets up goals as well as scores them

Got my much needed away win from Recall United(although I suspect he wasn't prepared). Need the buffer points before I face Odwin away. Now lead Recall 10-3, winning the last six. Poor guy has lost his last 9 including friendles. Good thing he has Leeds next, good luck ;)

Smerud got injured for the second time, this time serious, so I'm going to have a tiny problem with average but it's minor.

After Odwin I look forward for the rest of the first half where I will meet four teams I have never beaten before, only interrupted by Haden.

Also, Rez do not listen :p

Apparently picking offensive is the worst thing you can do. I thought I'd be fine playing 4-5-1 offensive but once again I'm beaten by someone playing normally. I'm just going to pick very defensive for the rest of my games :( I played offensive in most of my games last season and it worked really well for me, I feel like they've just randomly decided to change how effective it is.

Well played Bubbles, obviously I thought it would be closer but my luck is worse than yours this season :p at least my youth midfielder scored the first goal, his DV has shot up :)

Posted

Looks like his midfield outmatched yours, two more skill bars for midfield and 59% possession. But generally, playing offensive at home isn't a bad idea. I assume you had pressure on considering how the final minutes went(which is not bad either at home). Sometime shit happens. But agree, it's annoying.

Posted

Really pleased with todays result would love another positive one against Bru but that will be tough.

Think Odwin taught Ell a lesson for calling him out about being defensive lol.
