Ashley Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 On the subject of that word, I hate its American pronunciation. Twart. Or the similar American word "twot".
Hamishmash Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 Guess what... because you've all be so nice (even the people that don't like it) I'm going to give you the next 3 pages early because I'll be watching Beyonce and eating paella on Sunday night at Glasto and I won't be here to post it. It's still going up on Sunday on my website, but I thought I'd treat you!
Paj! Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 }} ^ I love reappropriation of 'India' from Chair, who took it from Alanis Morrisette in the first place. {{ I like how it feels dirty. I also hate the word twat, when cunt would be more appropriate and attention-grabbing. But good.
Hamishmash Posted June 23, 2011 Author Posted June 23, 2011 Twat is funny. Cunt is nasty. That's how it's ALWAYS been.
ReZourceman Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Twat is funny. Cunt is nasty. That's how it's ALWAYS been. Exactly. This isn't massively relevant but I remember an extremely funny time once. My sister and I did NOT know that "twat" was a name for "vagina" at the time. This was approximately 5 or 6 years ago I believe. Anyway, I called my sister a twat and my mum was like "Michael!!!!!!!!!!!" as if I had just done something unbelievably offensive. Cue massive confusement from my sister and I. Lulz.
Ashley Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Someone called me a twat the other day (a cyclist I ran in front of. I knew I could make it and I did). I replied with "brutta puttana" Anyway looking good Hamish. Enjoy Glasto!
Guy Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 This is brilliant! So foul and beautiful at the same time. The expression in the very last drawing on the most recent page is glorious. I will be reading as these pages become available.
ReZourceman Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Colours are beautiful. Expressions are fantastic. Angles are nice - especially the one looking down at him from the crowd. Gawjus.
Hamishmash Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Cheers. I'm sorry the plot is progressing incredibly slowly but when I start doing more than 3/4 pages a week, then this stops being a fun little side project. I'll devote more time to it during the final issues though.
Rummy Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I like it. It does feel a bit slow yeah, but that's cos...it is. Also agree with you on the twat thing, don't think it's that bad a word at all. It just didn't fit to where you had it in the comic and was also presented a bit...bluntly? Other than that, it's all quite good, as per.
Hamishmash Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Next Sunday, I PROMISE you'll see Vanish.
Magnus Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Next Sunday, I PROMISE you'll see Vanish. But... he's invisible.
The Peeps Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I don't know if I've posted in this thread yet :p Loving Qinc, keep 'em coming!
Hamishmash Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 Thanks. Before trying Orphanages, Vanish originally went looking for children in a playground. (Yes that is me in Qinc cosplay.)
Dyson Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 That's incredible. If you were a few years earlier you could have set the Anonymous mask.
Hamishmash Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 That's incredible. If you were a few years earlier you could have set the Anonymous mask. Those photos were taken a few years ago. Qinc's been rattling about in development for ages now we my friend Chris (credited as co-writer). What does "set the Anonymous mask" mean?
Magnus Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Haha, doing cosplay for one of your own characters is so lame. I love it. :p (Next up: cosplaying as Qinc!)
Dyson Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Those photos were taken a few years ago. Qinc's been rattling about in development for ages now we my friend Chris (credited as co-writer). What does "set the Anonymous mask" mean? Just that I'd be in love if Anonymous masks had everyone wearing egyptian masks rather than V masks. (Obviously that sidesteps the symbolism of it all but that's irrelevant ) As in:
