spirited away Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Oh dear Alan Hansen. Oh dear.... Lee Dixons face said it all. :-s My reaction.
MadDog Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 What did he say, i wasn't really paying attention? Coloured or something?
Fresh Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 What did he say, i wasn't really paying attention? Coloured or something? Yeah, Twice I believe. Toby Young has quickly thrown a article together over at the independent online with his thought on it [LINK] and here a quickly hosted youtube of him on MOTD.
MadDog Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I see nothing wrong with that, are people offended by that?
Ramar Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 What's with Wigan grinding out two home draws in a row against Chelsea and Liverpool. They were terrible when we played them earlier in the month.
spirited away Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 What's with Wigan grinding out two home draws in a row against Chelsea and Liverpool. They were terrible when we played them earlier in the month. Fair play to Martinez. They're playing good football as well, with mediocre players.
MadDog Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 They have a few good players. Moses is good, and i'm a fan of McCarthy. Diame isn't bad either.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 They play good football, Wigan. Realistically, they know they'll be fighting to stay in the league, at least for a while anyway. I like the look of Jordi Gomez and Di Santo is in decent form. They need more goalscorers.
spirited away Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Nervous for the game tonight. Really hoping Bale is fit .
Ellmeister Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Quite an exciting game that I think deserved a draw for both teams. Ramires missed a couple of sitters and the offside call was probably wrong for Adebayor BUT I think he used his arm (no, not his shoulder his arm) anyway. Luckily Terry saved us at the death when Adebayor slipped it past Cech at the end.

Luckily Terry saved us at the death when Adebayor slipped it past Cech at the end. Draw a fair result. What a game though! I was shaking at the end. Anyway Spurs top at Xmas with a game in hand. Happy days. Edited December 23, 2011 by spirited away

spirited away Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 So many chances both teams could have nicked the win. Ramires' miss was incredible :P.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Watched it yesterday. I thought Spurs looked great until Chelsea scored. Then, Chelsea were on top for the majority of the match, after that. Second half seemed pretty flat, in my opinion. For most of it anyway. It's a shame Defoe wasn't fit, because he would have done a lot more than Pavlyuchenko.

Emerald Emblem Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Since Arsenal are going to be without Chamakh and Gervinhio when the African Cup of nations starts, Wenger could potentially sign Thierry Henry for a 2 month loan deal, Wenger has said he might consider it but I wonder if that would be wise.
Ramar Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Sentiment: yes Substance: no Ruin legacy: possible My heart says yes, but my mind tells me no.

Would be hilarious if so. Ridiculous idea.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Merry Christmas, football thread people. You are my favourite thread people.
MadDog Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Merry Christmas, football thread people. You are my favourite thread people. I echo that sentence. Merry Christmas!
Ellmeister Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Merry Christmas! Especially you Chelsea lot.
spirited away Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Merry Christmas! Even you Spurs lot. If I see Santa I'll break his legs...never red! :P. Merry Xmas all you wind-up merchants.
Kav Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 1-1... pretty much as I expect from Chelsea these days. We just can't seem to finish anything off at the moment.
