If all goes well and I move into the new place next week as planned, I should have the internet up and running before this comes out which was my biggest worry about moving out, haha.

Does it appear to be just the usual CoD lot that's getting this?

Come on @Fused King and @Beverage you'd love it gaming with us lot on this... join the dark side! lol

Sorry bros, but I'm in a time in my life in which I have to limit myself to what games I buy and play...

I've only just begun playin' Xenoblade with a pal, but I don't reckon we'll get even close to finishing that in time for Skyward Sword.

That game will get all my love and attention during the Christmas holidays, and the only other game I'll be buying at launch is Mario Kart 7, for I'll be damned if the last official N-Europe Mario Kart League Champion won't participate in an all new and revived N-Europe Mario Kart League :D

Are you for real? Is Wii your only console or something? Because if not, you're insane if Mario Kart is all you're getting this fall. With so many great games coming out???

:yay:All NINTENDO right here. 3DS + Wii all the way:yay:

A decision I made because with NINTENDO's platforms alone I'll have more than enough games on my backlog to last me forever, thank you very much.

Some might call it foolish, but I know myself, and I know the irrelevancy of having more than one console/handheld when I want to achieve more in life than just a 9 to 5 job and playing games when I get home.

And out of the big 3, I prefer NINTENDO. And I'm now studying Japanese in order to try and carry some part of their art into the new paradigm.

In other words, I'm trying to save NINTENDO from being forgotten after the switch.

Big N's also my favourite, but you're looking at it wrong. You probably play more games than me, when it comes to how much time you spend with games... I have all 3 consoles, but don't play anything that isn't really good! It's a matter of standards, I don't just play any ol' good game that comes my way... In Wii terms, here's a list of games I liked but will never play all the way because they just didn't cut it, for me: De Blob, Zack & Wiki, Madworld, No More Heroes, Muramasa, Dead Space: Extraction, Warioland: Shake It, Boom Blox, Excitebots, Super Paper Mario, Punch Out...

Not a single one of these games is bad, not by a longshot... but I'll never finish/play through any of them, because I'm playing through other, better games on other platforms. The same thing happens with both other platforms, too... I skip many good games, I pretty much favor the absolute best of the best, I no longer waste time on "good" games (so you can get a better idea, my ps3 has only been fully used for Uncharted 2, Portal 2, MGS4, which I sorely regret and Demon's Souls. Oh, and flower too. It's not that I haven't tried Little Big Planet, Heay Rain, God Of War 3 and so on... I did... but they're just not great enough). In the end, I spent 500£ more than you, but probably ended up playing a much higher quality level of games, overall... without wasting more time than you. Which isn't me trying to put you down... but rather trying to show you that you don't need to spend more time playing games if you have more consoles... you just have to be more selective about the games you do play, in the end.

: peace:

Some new info has emerged over the last couple of days:

Combat Training has been canned.

This is something I'm not very happy about. However IW have said that despite combat training being gone, their horde mode does the same thing. I'm not so sure it will feel the same.

I for one loved Combat Training for testing new weapons and getting used to maps. Plus, me and Lost had some peic two vs eight matches with the AI set on Veteran!

I got this info from the official Modern Warfare 3 Wii forums. Yes, the official forums are now up and surprisingly the Wii ones are quite busy, if you want to check them out they're here:

GT TV over on gametrailers dealt with COD MW3 extensively in this week's show.

Several things were revealed:

- Seldgehammer Games are dealing with the single player and the Spec Ops missions.

- Spec Ops mission are split into survival (horde mode) and two player co-op missions like in MW2.

- Infinity Ward are dealing with the multiplayer

- The single player mission in London is shown off

Is MW3 carrying on the same tradition of us having to wait until the game is actually on the shelves before we get a look at the game; through a blurry back of the case photo and then gameplay video's to start appearing on YouTube?

Pretty much. Because of how Microsoft has a timed exclusive deal for the CoD content, I think they've also managed to wrangle into that deal that only footage of the 360 version can be shown in trailers/screenshots right up until release.

Never understood why they couldn't show stuff for the Wii versions as they're never going to detract much from the sales of the other versions and will obviously not be the definitive versions. But it's just Microsoft throwing weight and money around and Activision being money hungry as always. It'll never change unless Sony or Nintendo are willing to stump up the cash to make a deal for the games (although I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo has the next CoD game as part of their E3 conference next year for the Wii U).

New multiplayer footage.

- Discusses EXACTLY how the point streaks work

- Discusses the three different reward systems - assault, support and specialist

- Shows new footage of new guns

- States that MW2 was essentially just a game for 'high kill - low death' players

- Capturing flags and meeting objectives now unlock streak rewards

Launch trailer is here!!!

That looks NICE!!!!!

I believe all the black ops gang would be happy with it as long as it doesnt brake the WII and if the freezing stops or at least cuts down and without that ripping noise

Some new Private Match modes have been announced today.

Sadly, Wager Matches have been dropped (seriously IW, if you didn't come up with the idea it doesn't mean the idea was bad!!!) however some of the wager matches have made it into Private Matches:

■ Infection – The infected kills enemies to recruit them for the infected team.

■ Drop Zone – Hold the Drop Zone for Team Points and Care Packages.

■ Team Juggernaut – With the support of a juggernaut, kill players on the opposing team. The first team to reach the score limit wins.

■ Juggernaut – Kill the Juggernaut to become the new Juggernaut

■ Gun Game – Be the first to dominate with every gun

■ One in the Chamber – Gain ammo by eliminating enemies. Be the last to survive.

These sound quite fun, and I'm sure over time N-E will play them all. However, I am disappointed that these aren't public playable matches like Wager Mode, they actually sound really fun!

I'm gutted they've dropped Sharpshooter and Sticks & Stones.

I'm hoping they're in there! Those are great modes.

However this is Infinity Ward we're talking about. For someone reason, they simply can't except that Treyarch have brought really good stuff to the franchise.

Currency - so you can unlock what you like

Wager Matches - which are ace

Boot Camp - which was awesome for new players

Region On - Brilliant for finding better matches

Kill Streak Kills NOT Counting Toward Kill Streaks

Balance - Black Ops had this, MW2 didn't

Combat Training - Awesome for testing new set ups and learning maps

The only thing IW is adding that is a Treyarch thing is Horde Mode, but it's only 2 player, which seems a little lame compared to 4!

I think IW is dropping loads of great Black Ops changes. They are adding some great things - new Strike Packages and Point Streaks, which are both major overhauls.
