Ramar Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 My three main gripes at the moment are: 1. Although Head to Head Seasons is great and matches skill better than previous online modes, you still get the twats who just pick Barcelona/Real Madrid/Spain and now... Man City. 2. Online you struggle to see a variety of goals, unless of course the other player has Messi or Rooney who as always can score from the corner flag with their shorts around their ankles. Otherwise it's one-twos, through balls and square pass across the box for a tap in. 3. Ultimate Team disappoints me a bit. I played NHL11's Ultimate Team like mad, but this one in Fifa is more restrictive with it's tournaments and how you qualify for tournaments. Plus I dislike Bronze/Silver/Gold card set up. If they've done that to NHL12 I may cry. Apart from that it's business as usual.
heroicjanitor Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 2. Emerald Emblem Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Bought it today, got it on PS3 this time, because the store hadn't any sealed copies of the standard edition they gave me the special edition for the same price which i thought was quite nice of him. Still can't defend properly, Semi pro is too easy and pro is too hard.
nekunando Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I just had a couple more games with my brother there and, for me, it is still complete crap..
Ramar Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Bought it today, got it on PS3 this time, because the store hadn't any sealed copies of the standard edition they gave me the special edition for the same price which i thought was quite nice of him. Still can't defend properly, Semi pro is too easy and pro is too hard. I'll tell you what's hard, drawing 0-0 on World Class thinking you've progressed. 60 minutes in, you perform the perfect last ditch slide tackle. I mean the replay shows a tackle of sheer perfection. Uh-oh what's that, the ref disagrees your centre back receives a red card. You save the penalty, but you're spooned and lose 2-0. I wanted to cry.
James Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Haha, I got relegated last night, back to Divison 8, to be honest it was coming, I couldn't get out off the league and was hanging on in by the skin of my teeth, anyone know what this goalkeeper glitch is, where apparantly. This will be addressed as soon as possible but the patch itself will focus on the issue of goalkeepers in the Head to Head Seasons mode. The ranked mode lets you control the goalkeeper directly and more skilled players are currently exploiting this to get an easy win over more inexperienced players. 'If they're not very good at defending they can use this to get an unfair advantage,' said community manager Romily Broad. 'People who are very good at the game won't have a problem. They'll just be able to pass it around your defenders and you'll find yourself one-on-one with their top strikers every time.'
dazzybee Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I absolutely love this game, defending is hard but I like it, but the way the game plays and flows is fantastic, just feels gesture to play. Defendng makes more sense and is more realistic than just holding two buttons to tackle, you actually have to make decisions and human error can creep in mor easily adding to the realism. Love it. If anyone's got the ps3 version I'll be up for some online games!
Ellmeister Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Finally got the game and really enjoying it The new head to head season thing is good. Made one cup appearance and won it already! Where do I find out how the clubs competition is going?
James Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Press the back button in the main menu and you should see it there some where. I think its Y on the xbox.
Hero-of-Time Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 The inevitable licensed Euro 2012 title from EA Sports will be a digital-only release, MCV can reveal. Furthermore, the game will skip a stand-alone release entirely and instead be made available as a DLC expansion for existing title FIFA 12. With FIFA 12 still selling strong, FIFA Street having fun near the top of the charts and an inevitable release of FIFA 13 at the end of September, EA likely felt that three boxed EA releases in a year is perhaps pushing the franchise and the established retail model too far. Fantastic move, lets hope it's a decent price though.
nekunando Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Fantastic move, lets hope it's a decent price though. It still won't make it any good
flameboy Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Fantastic move, lets hope it's a decent price though. £15.99 is the price. I think it's certainly a move in the right direction and what they should have been doing for a long time.
ipaul Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) This is a very good move, but I have been holding out buying Fifa 12 so I could just get this game instead. OH WELL . Looks like I'll be buying 12 after all EDIT - Well that didn't take long, the game was down to £25 on Amazon which I thought was just about alright, although it's value will of course plummet by September. Still, better than paying the £40 on a separate UEFA EURO game as planned Edited March 29, 2012 by ipaul
Emerald Emblem Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Maybe the FIFA after FIFA 13 would be FIFA 14-18, one can dream right?
