Paj! Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Ew. Britain's Got Talent. So itv. The only thing that I've been genuinely stunned by from one of these shows in the sand animator/artist from Ukraine's Got Talent 2009.
Mr_Odwin Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Each year I get to roll this little beauty out: My dad. I so proud.
Grazza Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Does anybody know who tonight's acts are? Enchantment - Acrobatic circus troupe Up & Over It - Table Hand Dancers Herbie Armstrong - Singer Lorna Bliss - Britney Spears Impersonator Jean Martyn - Organist New Bounce - Singers David & Karen - Illusionists Two & A Half Men - Dancers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain%27s_Got_Talent_(series_5)#Semi-finals Lorna Bliss? WTF? I was convinced she didn't get through. I mean, I liked her, but I thought they said "no". Quite a few good acts tonight. The illusionists were impressive. So were Two & A Half Men.
Retro_Link Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Yeah I'm sure they said no to her! Maybe someone dropped out?... and Simon had say on the replacement! The Illusionists were really really good, so hopefully they impress again!
Grazza Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 My thoughts exactly - Simon probably wants to see it! Although I'm sure they'll ask her to tone it down for the semi-final anyway. I mean, they had to censor her nipples the first time round (which is ridiculous, in my opinion). Girls Roc had toned down their act too. No bare buttocks and no fire-spanking this time! Not that I'm into that or anything, it just gave it an edge!

Love Lorna Bliss, Jean Martyn, Two and a Half Men, David and Karen and Up And Over It. Dislike New Bounce but I have a feeling they'll get through. I'd vote for Two and a Half Men and Up and Over It
flameboy Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 (edited) They defintely said no to Lorna Bliss, without a doubt...wtf happened there...she was on dating in the dark once. Watch here; 4 minute mark 3 NO! Viewers are said to be furious that show boss Simon Cowell – who made his return to the ITV1 programme last night– has put Britney Spears impersonator Lorna Bliss through to tonight's semi-final, despite judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff originally axing her from the series. After her saucy routine shocked the judging panel the first time around, even Lorna admitted she doesn't deserve to win the competition. She told the Daily Star newspaper: 'I don't think I deserve to win.' BGT fans quickly took to the internet to blast show bosses for giving the blonde another chance and 'bending the rules' to suit them. One blogger said: 'Bending the rules is bad enough, but for an untalented act … it's a disgrace, it makes a mockery of the auditions. 'I feel sorry for all the acts who impressed the judges yet lost out.' Another added: 'Some exotic dancers can be talented, artistic and appeal to a wider audience. I don't think lap-dancing Lorna falls into this category, though. 'She'd be more at home in a pound-in-a-pot bar rather than the Royal Variety show. Surely there were better acts that got at least one yes?' Lorna will face the judge's in tonight's semi-final in the hope of winning a coveted spot in the show's grand finale. Meanwhile, Simon was left hot under the collar in the first of this week's semi-finals last night when show host Declan Donnelly questioned if the music mogul could understand his accent after fellow Geordie Cheryl Cole got the chop from the US X Factor amide claims her dialect was too strong for American audiences. Retro_Link Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Oh FUCK OFF! New Bounce were bollocks!... there's someone in there who can't sing a note! I hate this show for it's obsession with young music acts! Two & A Half Men were great. And I actually thought Britney Spears lady was alright.
flameboy Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 Oh FUCK OFF! New Bounce were bollocks!... there's someone in there who can't sing a note! I hate this show for it's obsession with young music acts! Two & A Half Men were great. And I actually thought Britney Spears lady was alright. yeah they were nothing that special good but not incredible as they made out. My scores for tonight go: Enchantment - 4/10 his singing was awesome the rest was boring as sin. Up & Over It - 10/10 simple LOVE them. Herbie Armstrong - 5/10 boring Lorna Bliss - 2/10 she was actually alright at singing better than i thought but she shouldn't be in the show and with the raunchy gone its not the same act. Jean Martyn - 8/10 love how odd she is and her enthusiasm New Bounce - 7/10 good but not incredible David & Karen - 5/10 sure impressive but its the same old act seen so many times but with water. Two & A Half Men - 9/10 love the whole feel and aesthetic of what they do
Retro_Link Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Personally I think Two & A Half Men, and David & Karen should go through.
Grazza Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 My verdict: Two & A Half Men - I wanted to see more tumbling, more throwing each other around. Still, they are inherently good and could yet improve their act for the final. Lorna Bliss - Felt really sorry for her. They shouldn't have asked her back and then buzzed. I did predict she'd tone it down and that'd be a problem, but I think it would be more appropriate to mention that in the feedback rather than buzz. New Bounce - I was very impressed, actually, as they were a huge improvement. At least two or three have really good voices. David & Karen - Good, but... I must admit, I'm not very fond of magic acts, as it's all illusion using special props. Basically, even though they do have skill, they can do anything if you only see it from one angle. In all honesty, the girl didn't look like she was underwater. My tips to go through are New Bounce and Two & A Half Men. PS - flameboy, I hope you don't mind that I copied your formatting.
Sheikah Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Well tonight's show was comparatively bollocks. What shite acts.

Yes agreed it looked more like the water was in a panel running down the front of the tank but then she was wet.... also no worries about copying formatting.
Retro_Link Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 What an absolute joke! Utter bollocks!! So that's 2 singing acts, and 2 'piano' acts through... variety indeed!
Grazza Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Here we go: Abyss - Street dancers Angela & Teddy - Dog tricks The Circus of Horrors - Extreme Variety show Gay and Alan - Handbell players James Hobley - Contemporary dancer Les Gibson - Comedian Wachiraporn Tirpak - Entertainer Jay Worley - Singer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain%27s_Got_Talent_(series_5)#Semi-finals
Retro_Link Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Don't think I'm that fussed about anyone tonight, plus Apprentice is on so!
Beast Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Enchantment - 2/10 I was genuinely bored and I didn't understand any of it. Way too many things were happening at once and it just felt completely random. Up & Over It - 6/10 They were cool but I prefered their audition. I liked the tapdancing though. Herbie Armstrong - 1/10 YAWN! Also, the way he sang the song was absolutely terrible. He just doesn't have a nice voice. Lorna Bliss - 3/10 She's fit and she resembles Britney Spears but that's as far as it goes. She needs to learn how to dance and practice her singing. Jean Martyn - 9/10 I would say this is actually the best act of the night. She made me laugh and made me smile whilst tapping my toes. Love her! New Bounce - 6/10 They were okay but they're just the same as the other boybands out there. Three of them can't really sing and only one of them can and had a good voice. That one kid in this group was better than Ronan. David & Karen - 1/10 Didn't impress me. Blatantly obvious how they did it and even if I got it wrong, it was just boring. Two & A Half Men - 9/10 It should have been between these guys and Jean Martyn. They were brilliant, I liked them alot. The Circus of Horrors - Extreme Variety show Gay and Alan - Handbell players Les Gibson - Comedian Wachiraporn Tirpak - Entertainer Looking forward to seeing these guys. Sod the dancers and the singers!
flameboy Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 Just Les Gibson that I'm bothered about tonight.
Grazza Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 It was a really entertaining show tonight. Lots of talent. Abyss - I was very distracted by the background graphics. The Circus of Horrors - They were great tonight, I was surprised how much I liked them. The woman demonstrated great skill by using the bow with her feet. To me, that's what it's all about. Gay and Alan - Loved them! Simon was way off (and that was a cheapshot joke by Macintyre). Les Gibson - Superb. So, I want Les Gibson and Gay & Alan to go through, but there'll be a lot of talent that misses out tonight.
Beast Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 (edited) Abyss - 4/10 Quite sloppy and very boring. Wasn't impressed in the slightest. The lights were very distracting and the dance itself was lacking. They shouldn't have gone through in the first place. Angela & Teddy - 2/10 Nice enough person but you can blatantly see that dog is absolutely knackered. I just wanted her to take Teddy home and let him sleep. The Circus of Horrors - 7/10 I actually loved their audition better but I did like this as well. I thought that it was creative, brilliant and quite unique. It really packed that dark gothic-slash-emo feel and I loved it. Gay and Alan - 9/10 Second best of the night. Absolutely fantastic and I can really appreciate it. Again, it's unique and it's something that hasn't been done on the show and they should have gone through. I wanted them to go through, not that little blonde kid! James Hobley - 6/10 I enjoyed his audition, I really did, but seeing him in the show, he was basically repeating what he did in the audition. I can appreciate how hard it is and can see how much effort he put in but there wasn't really anything new. Les Gibson - 10/10 Easily the best of the night. I loved his audition and I adored his act tonight. I really want him to win the show! (Actually, I want anybody who isn't a dancer or a singer to win but I do actually want him to win!) Wachiraporn Tirpak - 5/10 Okay, let's face it, it wasn't good but she has lovely manners. I thought the audience were right twats booing her like that and when she apologised to everyone, they cheered. I loved how she rised above them, she's better than them! Jay Worley - 1/10 Everyone I've spoken to loved his voice but I didn't. I absolutely hated it. Well, hate's a strong word but I really disliked it. I wanted it to end. Who I wanted to go through? 1st: Les Gibson 2nd: Gay and Alan Edited June 1, 2011 by Animal
jayseven Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Missed it last night but that line-up seemed uninspiring. Will try to watch it tonight so long as the adverts don't make me sleepy.
Grazza Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Hope Out of the Blue are good tonight. They're pretty much my favourite act in the whole competition.
flameboy Posted June 2, 2011 Author Posted June 2, 2011 Glad Les Gibson got through last everything else was shit! For me its between Out of the Blue, Edward Reid and is it Stephen Hall?
