Happenstance Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Ive seen it, I just didnt particularly like it
Ashley Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I just felt like a slightly obscure reference badly done:
ReZourceman Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Goafer wins for comedy factor. Runner up is Daft for great poster.
Goafer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) American Graffiti, GO! Hopefully, this will get people watching this awesome movie. At the very least, it will be a change of style to the ones we have at the moment. I'll work on my own soon. Edit: Done: The Wolfman/radio station wasn't a huge part in the film, but it was constantly in the background and the music was a big part. Thought I'd focus on that instead of the usual pictures of the stars/cars/diner. Just wish I had a higher quality image to use as the background. Edited June 13, 2011 by Goafer
ReZourceman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 George Lucas? ....He made the Star Wars movies.
Goafer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 George Lucas? ....He made the Star Wars movies. American Graffiti was his second movie (after THX1138). Watch it, it's good.
ReZourceman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Funnily enough it was featured in a question on The Weakest Link a minute ago.
Daft Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Ah, sweet. I was starting to think 'Well I think this is hilaaaarious but then I think everything I do is hilarious.'
Goafer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I have no idea what this film is about. That was why I chose it (and because I fancied a rockabilly theme). You're supposed to go out and watch it! Via the interwebs if necessary. It's basically about the main characters last night before they move away to college. Not in the "dur hur hur, gotsta get laid!" way though. There's no massive overlying story, just a little story for each character. It's nice to see a film that doesn't have the massive epic plot, usually with some shit tagline like "things will never be the same again" etc. IMDB it. It's quite interesting how it was shot IIRC (all in one night or in chronological order or something)
Daft Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 Cheers. I shall go watch the film as soon as I can grab a copy. Next film? (Since BttF got nuthin.) Zelda. Do a movie poster for a Legend of Zelda film. Go go go!!
