EEVILMURRAY Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I know this is meant to go in the sales shizzle and it has been mentioned in the General Bargains thread but I don't want to cheat those who haven't looked the opportunity for big savings. Just let it run for about 12ish hours and then delete/lock please. Apparently the shit is going down on the 15th. It was mentioned it was going to be today but after a quick trip to my local store they said otherwise.
AndyWylde Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I work for Tesco. All video games, consoles and accessories will have 20% off from Wednesday-Saturday. Not sure if it's nationwide, but the Midlands stores are all having the offer on.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) I work for Tesco. All video games, consoles and accessories will have 20% off from Wednesday-Saturday. Not sure if it's nationwide, but the Midlands stores are all having the offer on. As do I. One colleague said something was starting tomorrow. I'll be hopping in on my lunch break. I've already done some calculations for some games I'm interested in: The new Mario & Donkey Kong - £20.79. Super Mario Bros. DS - £20.72 Bowser's Inside Story - £23.12 Some of the others (Red Dead Redemption) didn't work out any better when I compared them to Amazon. I know they may be cheaper elsewhere but I'm too lazy to check at the moment. Edited February 14, 2011 by EEVILMURRAY
AndyWylde Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 As do I. My sympathies. It seems to vary, i know for sure my store and those around Birmingham will be Weds-Sat. 30% off with the Privilege Card too. Gutted that i just bought a new 4Gb Slim last week
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 My sympathies. S'not bad. I'm at the petrol station. Way more relaxed. Plus they're laying people off at the main store because of wank sales. We're all kind of safe over here because we're specialised with the different system. Sadly though I only started in October so I don't have a privilege card yet. Wank.
Shorty Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 It's a shame the Kinect deal and this aren't overlapping. £80 for that kit would be a steal.

Shorty Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Included in this offer yeah, but not pre-reduced to £99 like it currently is.
flameboy Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Damn being the only place in England without an actual tesco supermarket!

EEVILMURRAY Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 Aberystwyth is part of England now? Yay!
MoogleViper Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Aberystwyth is part of England now? Yay! Wales is such a non-country it's not even worth distinguishing it.
Ike Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) Aw, they have Kirby's Epic Yarn for £28, but it's out of stock. Wondering if I should buy a Wii Motion + controller... Edit: Kirby might be a mis-price... Edited February 15, 2011 by Ike
flameboy Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Hmmm I'm online trying to do it because there is a voucher code for it 20OffGames-1 Donkey Kong is listed as 30.32 however when I go to add it appears as 37.90 on there?! I went through added the code and it comes out around that price still...don't get it surely should be 30.32 with 20% off that...even with the £5 postage should only be 35.32 but its coming out at £37.

Ike Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 The voucher is for the Tesco Entertainment store.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 After some hardcore pressure I finally managed to get them to give me the discount. No one seemed to know about it, despite a massive sign at the top of the travelator.
Happenstance Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Picked up GTA Episodes from Liberty City today with the deal. The Tescos people werent too happy though with the sale as apparently some things when scanned showed the discount, others didnt so they kept having to walk back to the games isle to check the original price.

EEVILMURRAY Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 OH the horrors of exercise. Fuck yeah. I had them do that for Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, they had two different prices. Luckily to save confusion I took off the higher price tag beforehand.
EEVILMURRAY Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 Picked up Dead Space 2 for £17.60 I assume that's with the staff discount because here it's prices around £25. I was considering getting it but since I've got about four new games to play I'm not sure I'll bother, even with rave reviews and a fairly cheap pricem I'll probably end up getting it by the sale's over now.i
