heroicjanitor Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I wasn't aware of that Peeps... vote: Smeagol
Cube Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 ReZourceman (2): Tales, Sméagol Sméagol (3): Diageo, The Peeps, heroicjanitor Majority is 4
Diageo Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Ah because The Peeps has a double vote but has not used it yet.
The Peeps Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 If I'm wrong again I'm going to kill myself. I don't want to put my double vote on unless necessary lol
Diageo Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 All right, here's the thing. Rez targeted jayseven on two separate occasions. And for us to get a bad result on jayseven Sméagol had to swap himself and jayseven. Now I can't remember the two nights we did so, I guess someone could check back in the thread. But if we have information that those were not Sméagol's targets, and the information didn't come from Sméagol, then we have reason to suspect our decision.
Sméagol Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Remove those votes idiots. Vote ReZ. Do I have to reiterate (again) I killed MadDog? And I never switched myself with jayseven. I switched jayseven with Zell and Tales I beleieve, all my targets were in a previous post. And again, My targets don't mess up the results. They switch targets first, then you get a correct result on your new target. Goddamn idiots.
Sméagol Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Well, that's a game-over then. Thanks guys. (while I'm still here) If for some reason the game continues, take another good look at my breakdowns, I believe they're fairly accurate: http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1276017&postcount=547 The frail man asked the hacker some questions. When he went back home he found a note at the door. heroicjanitor ask me some questions again. He got the note intended for The Peeps. The man looking in the mirror was busy thinking about how he can have sex with himself. Tales protected himself. The lover told her boyfreind about her horrifying visit to the teenager. Rez has "info" on jayseven? The teenager found herself writing a note about the wrong person and posting it through the wrong door. jayseven intended to pass a note about heroicjanitor to The Peeps, but it ended up the other way around. I believe also fairly accurate (with most of the info coming from himself, but also checked with other posts people made), jayseven's targets (and if anything happened to the notes): jayseven targets: 1] mr-paul diageo 2] the peeps me (roleblocked?) 3] mr-paul me (switched me & nintendohnut, nintendohnut got the note) 4] me & diageo (switched me & nintendohnut, diageo got no note) 5] ellmeister mr-paul 6] rezourceman me (switched me & maddog, note incorporated in write-up) 7] zell the peeps (switched jayseven & zell, the peeps received note about jayseven himself) 8] rez the peeps 9] heroicjanitor the peeps (I switched both of them, heroicjanitor got a note on the peeps) If you still get the chance, kill ReZ for God's sake.
ReZourceman Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 If you still get the chance, kill ReZ for God's sake. I do not recommend this course of action! :p
Sméagol Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Your recommandation isn't required. But there is Cube.
Cube Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 ReZourceman (2): Tales, Sméagol Sméagol (4): Diageo, The Peeps, heroicjanitor, ReZourceman Majority is 4 The hacker was causing too much confusion - investigations were disrupted and anger was caused by him making people go to the wrong places. The town rigged his computer. The hacker set down on at his computer when suddenly *BOOM* Sméagol has been blown to smitheries. He was Michal Lumbley. He was good. Players: Diageo heroicjanitor ReZourceman Tales The Peeps 5 players remain. Night 11 Starts Now.
Cube Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Adelai Niska was his own, his minions had all been killed by this wretched town on Elpis. During the past few days he had some outside help from an unknown source - someone had been passing around made-up rumours that people were part of Niska’s group and the town brutally murdered them based just on the rumours. Grateful for the help, he was ready to strike. He had travelled here to get revenge on Malcolm Reynolds, and tonight was the night that happened. With a gun in his hand, he confronted the captain. “Hello Mr. Reynolds, looks like it’s just you and me now. This time, there is no chance of your crew coming to the rescue. Goodby Mr. Reynolds.†Niska fired, but Mal managed to dive through the nearby window. Niska gave chase by heading through the door but Mal was ready: he slammed the door back into Niska’s face. The old man lay on the floor, dazed. Mal stepped outside and pointed his pistol at Niska’s house. “Kuh-ooh duh lao bao jurn. You’ve caused me a great deal of hurt in the past, and it seems you’re just going to keep annoying me like a fly you can’t squat. They say mercy is the mark of a great man. Today, I am not a great man.†Mal pulled the trigger, the gun pointed at Niska’s head. Out of the blue, Brian Roemer shoulder barged Mal, causing him to miss. “Wuh de ma!†“You’re not going to get him on my watch, pal.†“But HE’s the enemy.†Realising his mistake, the bodyguard backed down, but the damage was done: Niska had recovered and he was nowhere to be seen. Mal hopelessly looked around, trying to spot the frail man. A gun was fired from the shadows, hitting Mal on his arm. Niska jumped out of the shadows and punched the captain right on the stomach, Mal faught back. Punches and kicks flew backwards and forwards, the pair getting closer and closer to the nerby cliff. Niska picked up some sand and threw it in Mal’s face and pushed him over the edge while he was trying to rub his eyes. Mal grabbed onto the edge. “Looks like I’m above you now, Mr. Reynolds. There’s nowhere for you to go this time.†Mal was prepared, Niska was doing to dramatically stand on his hand and slowly crush it until he fell. It’s what evil people always did. Mal was planning on grabbing Niska’s foot and throwing him off the side. The plan was pointless: Niska pulled out his gun and shot Malcom Reynols square in the forehead. The Peeps is dead. He was Malcolm Reynolds. On the other side of the town. “YOU WHAT?!†screamed James Ross. “I thought you would be pleased,†said his girlfriend, “We now have a future, we can live how we want to now.†“You were the only thing that was important. I trusted you. Instead you lied to me all this time.†“I wanted to protect you, everyone on this planet was going to die. The only way out was with them.†James stormed out of the house, furious and trying to work out what he would do next. At the same time, Niska entered through a different door. “Don’t worry, he’ll join us. I heard that you have been the one helping me this whole time. Thank you. I have a prime spot for you in my organisation. The game is over, the mafia have won. heroicjanitor was Adelai Niska. He was evil. ReZourceman was Hannah Hicks. He/She was evil. --- There were two people left on the planet. Their fates are undecided. Deigeo was James Ross, who was in love with Hannah Hicks. He was good. Tales was Brian Roemer, a protector of the town. He was good.
ReZourceman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH. Oh man that was a fun game. Heroic you mofo. LOL! I need to explain properly, but I'ma read through this first.
Cube Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 I'm surprised that nobody pointed out that you never actually did any investigating in the write-up. Also, it was an epic ending. The Peeps/Mal had a hidden power where he would kill whoever killed him. However, this power would be completely voided if the killer was protected. I'll post the full roles in a bit.
ReZourceman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Right. I was given a list of people who were mafia at the start of the game (and obviously I was told I was mafia) heroicjanitor Jonnas Zell Sméagol MadDog (And Diageo and I really did start with no power. Although if one of us died both of us would have) How both Diageo and me survived till the end.....surely unheard of? I think it was around the day three mark where I started to wonder what was up with the behaviour of the mafia as it didn't make sense. Then Cube told me the list was not 100% correct (as part of the game) and I was thinking that Heroic was the one that wasn't mafia! Then I began to question whether Sméagol was, but I thought that he was because I thought the mafia had pretended to silence him on day 1. Then when Zell was killed it was brilliant because I didn't vote for him and he turned out town! But I was like "Whaaa" as I thought he was mafia. Around the day 4 or whatever mark Cube PMd me saying my role was evolving and that I could choose a fake power (basically) I chose investigator, and then would PM Cube with what I wanted the PM to say which would then be sent back to Diageo and I. Massive apologies to Jayseven - he played well and cracked the code....and he was the only person that I was (pretty much) 100% sure was townie, so I chose him for the first target of my "Make him appear evil" so I simply made the investigation PM say he was evil and say that he had silenced me - which was a lie. I could have talked/thanked if I wanted to. :p Then I tried not to make anyone else appear evil so as not to push my luck. Get some (apparent) townies on side by saying they're good and make the mafia look good (Like Zell....lool.....who really was good so still worked out). I thought this was a really fun game, cheers Cube. Oh...sorry Diageo. Lol. I'm surprised that nobody pointed out that you never actually did any investigating in the write-up. Also, it was an epic ending. The Peeps/Mal had a hidden power where he would kill whoever killed him. However, this power would be completely voided if the killer was protected. I'll post the full roles in a bit. OMG thats a ridiculously epic ending. I'm surprised that nobody pointed out that you never actually did any investigating in the write-up. Tales Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Lol, I saved a mafia >_> I knew there had to be two mafias left, and that they would kill tonight to make it two townies/two mafias left, leaving mafia as the winner. So if I could guess who they would kill I could save him and we could identify the killer from the write up. I went with Heriocjanitor again. Never crossed my mind that he might be mafia. If I protected The Peeps(never would have protected Rez and Diageo) we probably would have won. Heroicjanitor would easily be identified in the write up. Great tactics from the mafia at the end.
Cube Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) The Peeps would have killed heroicjanitor if you protected anyone but heroic. The Mafia Adelai Niska (heroicjanitor) - Played by Michael Fairman. After the disastrous events on your Skyplex when the crew of Serenity rescued Malcolm Reynolds, you have put an extra amount of effort into hunting him down. You have discovered that he is stranded on the colony of Elpis and have assembled a team of professionals to hunt him down. You also want to take down the town that is harbouring him. You are a great torturer. Each night you may select a target. You will torture them to extract information from them. I realised on the write-up that describing the torture would make it way too easy for the town. So I downplayed the torture a bit, often putting that he "asked some questions." the first night he investigated The Peeps, hence why he "had some fun" - he was torturing the person he hates most in the 'verse. George Warren (MadDog) - Played by Scott Bakula A poison specialist, you have created the ultimate knock-out poison. It is undetectable - meaning that trackers can not track you. Target someone at night and they will be unable to perform their night role. The poison has one side-effect: when they wake up, their tongue will be numb for the next day. They will have to talk gibberish. He was never told this, but the translator was here. One of the initial rules was that people who had been poisoned before could read other people's gibberish, but couldn't tell people what it said. I though it was a good mechanic. Then jayseven spectacularly worked out the code behind it. Well done jay. Terry Scott (Zell) - Played by Timothy Dalton A brilliant tactician. Due to your kind nature, you appear as good when investigated. Your planning skills are some of the best in the ‘verse. Bored of organising business schedules, you joined Niska for a more adventurous life. Until things are desperate, you may not perform the night kill. While you are alive, each member of the mafia gets the following advantage when carrying out the night kill: - Adelai Niska: Torture (Will gain unseful information from victim) - George Warren: Poison (Will roleblock victim) - Danielle Niska: Blend (Will not be mentioned in the write up. If someone else targets her then it will appear separate to the killing) He would get his killing ability when the other three were dead. He would also start appearing as evil once he started killing. He was a power-booster who was designed to be unlynchable until he started killing. Danielle Niska (Jonnas) - Played by Adair Tishler After killing his brother after a job gone wrong, Niska raised Danielle to be useful in his organisation. Due to her upbringing, Danielle is extremely cold hearted. Though she is only 13, Danielle has performed assassinations for her uncle. Danielle is also great for causing distractions and confusing people. You may target someone at night. Their target will be randomised. As you are so young, the town will hesitate when lynching you. You will use this time to kill the first person who voted for you on that day. The town had a reverse-kill, and the mafia had a lynchbomb with a twist. Edit: Sofia Fisher - Played by Taryn Manning A companion hired by Niska to carry out his dirty work. You are extremely suggestive. At night you may seduce a player to learn who they targeted. During the day you can alter votes. PM me with a player who has already voted and the player you want them to vote for. Their vote will be changed (they will not be informed of this - it will just happen) Edited February 13, 2011 by Cube
The Peeps Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Never would've suspected heroicjanitor, well played.
ReZourceman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Oooooh Zell was evil. Awesome. Some great mechanics there Cube. Particularly this is pretty genius; He would get his killing ability when the other three were dead. He would also start appearing as evil once he started killing. He was a power-booster who was designed to be unlynchable until he started killing. When did you mafia guys realise I was evil?
Cube Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) Neutral & Specials James Ross (Diageo) - Played by Thomas Dekker Hannah Hicks (ReZourceman) - Played by Kristin Kreuk You are a young couple who moved to Elpis to start a new life. You love each other deeply and would be devastated if you couldn’t spend the rest of your lives together. Because of this, if one of you dies then the other will commit suicide. You may talk to each other outside the thread. --- Additional (ReZ only) --- As stated in the previous PM, you are Hannah Hicks. You may talk with James Ross (Diageo) and you will kill yourself if he dies. However, you have had enough of poor life on this planet - you have decided to take on the life of crime. In order to prove yourself, you need to help out the mafia. You know who the mafia are: heroicjanitor Jonnas Zell Sméagol MadDog Use this information wisely in order to protect the mafia. - You may NOT say to anyone who is in the mafia (this includes James Ross) - You may NOT communicate with the mafia and they do not know who you are. - You appear as good. You are evil. You win when the mafia gains majority. I gave ReZ Sméagol to misguide him a little bit. He would also appear as evil/mafia if investigated by heroicjanitor/Niska. After a few nights it seemed that the roles weren't working: all it did was basically encourage two people to not talk. So I altered ReZ' role so that he could make fake roles. With his own suspicions on the list I gave him, he thought that The Peeps was evil and heroic was good. So it could have turned out very differently if he had decided to try and go for heroic. Badger (Nintendohnut) - Played by Mark Sheppard As a businessman, you have heard about some valuable items on the planet Elpis. From your secure location you must try and gather as much as you can. Each night you may two targets. Player 1 will steal an item from Player 2 and send it to you. - This will not affect Player 1’s target. - You can not be targeted. You can be lynched, but not night-killed. - If Player 1 is roleblocked then you will not receive your item. - You can take items from dead people. If you collect over Â¥22,000 then you will win alongside either the town or mafia. If by some miracle you collect every item of value, you will win the game outright. First of all I would like to apologise: the write-ups inadvertently made it obvious that you were the one making people nick stuff from each other. This was not intentional. Also, Nintendohnut was unfortunate enough to keep targeting people with low value items. heroicjanitor and The Peeps had items worth Â¥10,000 each. I also found it funny when the RNG (Random Number Generator) blurted out this, due to who he was in the Battlestar mafia. Saffron - Played by Christina Hendricks A master thief. You use your two big assets in order to get what you want. You have traveled to Elpis as you have heard rumours about great wealth there. You will win alongside the town/mafia if you are the richest person on the planet. Each night you may choose a target to rob. - You are great at escaping. You can not be targeted by most players. - This means that you can’t be night-killed. You can, however, be lynched. - Roleblockers can still roleblock you. Nintendohnut's role would have been similar to this, too. Whichever one had the most money at the end of the game would have won alongside the town or mafia. However, there weren't enough people for this to work so I had to get rid of one of them. When did you mafia guys realise I was evil? When heroic told everyone that you were evil. It took them a while to work out there was no second mafia. The Good Malcolm Reynolds (The Peeps) - Played by Nathan Fillion While most of your crew were off on a well-deserved rest, you decided to stay with Serenity and take on a new job delivering some cargo to Elpis. You soon discover that things aren’t as they seem. The colony is in disarray and soon after your arrival some shady people show off. Looks like you’re stuck here until the situation is sorted. Due to your charisma, you are very influential. You carry a double vote. This is entirely optional to choose between a single and double to the following: - Single vote: Vote: Cube - Double vote: Vote:Cube Once during the game you may save someone from a lynch. To do so you need to post the following line in the game thread: “It looks like we arrived just in the nick of time. What does that make us?†All votes will be removed from the player and they will be safe from further votes. This can also be done after the majority has been reached (if you’re quick enough - I’ll try to leave half an hour between the final vote and doing the write-up). He had a hidden ability: He would kill anyone trying to kill him. A protector would mess this up, though: - If someone tried to kill The Peeps when The Peeps was protected: The protector would rescue The Peeps: The killer would not be killed. - If someone tried to kill The Peeps when the killer was protected: The Peeps would die. Brian Roemer (Tales) - Played by Eddie McClintock A wealthy farmer from Beaumonde. You moved to Elpis in the hope of becoming a lawman and protecting people from injustice. To your shock you found the planet to be the complete opposite of what was promised: it was a place in dire need of help. Each night you may target a player. If anyone tries to kill them they will be protected. I was kind of disappointed that he spent most of the time protecting himself. When he did protect someone, it was heroicjanitor. Elise Lamb (Ellmeister) - Played by Sarah Lancaster You are once a rich doctor working at the best hospital in Ariel. You always wanted to help out on the border planets, but were worried about the risks. That changed one night when the hospital was broken into and lots of supplies were stolen - you realised that you were no safer where you were. It’s a good job, too - Elpis was in dire need of doctors. Each night you may target a player. As you are one of the best doctors in the ‘verse you will save them from any harm. She would also counteract the gibberish-inducing poison that MadDog dished out. Amie Edling (Dannyboy-the-Dane) - Played by Eliza Dushku Born and raided on Sihnon, you are a companion of the highest class. Each night you may choose a client and occupy them for the night. You will also discover tidbits of information about them. Due to her also getting a roleblocking power, she only got small bits of information with not much indication if they're good or evil. Alan Shephard (Dazz) - Played by Ryan McPartlin While growing up on Bellerophon you were noticed by the Alliance and recruited as an awesome spy. You completed many assignments before you discovered some horrible truths - they were conduction ruthless experiments on young girls. Disgusted by this, you terminated your service with them. In retaliation, they attempted to terminate you. Now working for low-lives you gather intel that can be used in planning. You may target a player each night. You will learn who they target. Standard tracker. Nothing too special here. I also referred to him as an "awesome" spy on many occasions. Rebecca Bachman (mr-paul) - Played by Amy Acker A kind and gentle woman. You grew up on Haven as part of a large but poor family. You set off into the ‘verse to look for work. Upon hearing the promised of the new colony on Elpis you decided to head there for work. The promises weren’t met, and you are now trying to find a way off the planer. Despite all this, you are still warm and cheery. People find it very easy to talk you you. You may target a player at night. You will find out information about them. Investigator. There doesn't really have to be a note for this person. Emma Thornton (jayseven) - Played by Molly Quinn You grew up on Triumph where you were married off to a vile man at the young age of 16. Two years later you managed to escape and make it to Elpis. Due to your past experiences, you are extremely shy. You are also very smart and can tell a lot about people by looking at them. Due to your shyness you won’t voice your opinions. Each night you may select a target to investigate. You must also select a second target to send the information to - they will receive a PM with the information but will not know who it comes from. You will not get a copy of the information. Unfortunately, this ended up getting messed up by the roleswitching. On Night 9 The Peeps should have gotten a note sating that heroicjanitor tortures people to gather information, instead heroicjanitor got information on The Peeps. It's essentially the Amnesiac Cop role, just flavoured a little differently. Michal Lumbley (Sméagol) - Played by Tahmoh Penikett A brilliant computer hacker who’s skills are widely sought. Your latest job - obtaining information from the Blue Sun group - ended up going horribly wrong when they tracked you and sent a team to “collect†you. You decided to lie low on the new colony of Elpis. Each night you may use the cortex to mix up information. Select two targets, people who target Player 1 will instead target Player 2 (and vice verca). This seemed to have some big negative affects to both sides. Swapping him and MadDog on the night MadDog tried to kill him was a very lucky move. River Tam - Played by Summer Glau Experimented on by the government and saved by your brother, Simon. You are now part of Malcolm Reynolds’ crew. Your condition is still unsable. There is no knowing what you will do. Each night you MUST PM me with two targets (marked 1. and 2. or A. and B.) There was a pattern to this: Night 1: Protect, Night 2: Investigate (info), Night 3: Investigate (alignment), Night 4: Make A target B, Night 5: Kill, Night 6: Roleblock. Then it would repeat. Cut because it would have been fairly unpredictable/frustrating to the player. Wes Holihan - Played by Callum Keith Rennie You are a cold and ruthless mercenary. You were sent to the moon Lilac in order to assassinate Malcolm Reynolds. The plan went horribly wrong when Reavers showed up. Your employer did not like this one bit and you became on of his targets. You have discovered that your employer is now on Elpis and have travelled there in order to take his organisation down. You are a vigilante. Each night you may kill someone. Cut because vigilantes don't use their power often. Donald Hedges - Played by David Hewlett You are a brilliant scientist who moved to Elpis to expand your research on terraforming in hopes to vastly improve the process. You have vast experiences in many different fields and are great at quickly making useful gadgets. You may target a player each night. You will create a gadget that will enhance their power for that night. Once in the game you may say the words “I am a coward†in italics. When this happens, you will create a personal shield for yourself. You will be immune to night kills, but you will lost both your power and your voting privileges. I quite liked this role, but other ones were more vital to the town. Protecting themselves also technically kills them - they don't count towards majority and won't be able to use their power. The advantage is that they can still talk and will still win if the town won. Edited February 13, 2011 by Cube Automerged Doublepost
heroicjanitor Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) When did you mafia guys realise I was evil? It was actually after I originally tried to get you killed, after which I backed down. Not sure I would have had the balls to make such a big accusation if I knew you were on my team from the start :p Badger (Nintendohnut) As a businessman, you have heard about some valuable items on the planet Elpis. From your secure location you must try and gather as much as you can. Each night you may two targets. Player 1 will steal an item from Player 2 and send it to you. - This will not affect Player 1’s target. - You can not be targeted. If you collect over Â¥22,000 then you will win alongside either the town or mafia. If by some miracle you collect every item of value, you will win the game outright. So, Rez may I have that high five now? Since others don't want to follow this I'll just leave it there for when Nintendohnut steals the win. At least I can say I told you so. And when I don't, I can say I told you so :p deal? Deal :p I TOLD YOU SO (Kinda, I mean he didn't actually steal the win in the end but I was right so...) Edit: Just realised unless he stole from each character right before they died he wouldn't have won outright :s That was a really fun game, I was so lucky in it though. I didn't want to come out as the old man since if you guys read the first write-up you would know the old man was the leader of the mafia :p I was also really lucky at the end there. I had nowhere else to go as any other choice would get Rez killed or lynched and I knew I had to kill Peeps(Malcolm Reynolds) eventually in order to win. I also knew there was a good chance I would fail or he would kill me. Turned out I got the exact set of conditions necessary to win it in the end, also I was wondering why Rez wouldn't finish Sméagol off. If someone had removed their vote it would have been very bad but I see you thought he might be evil. Cube how many times would Peeps have killed his attackers? If he was attacked twice would he have killed them again? Edited February 13, 2011 by heroicjanitor
Cube Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Cube how many times would Peeps have killed his attackers? If he was attacked twice would he have killed them again? Only once, but I doubt anyone would have even tried to kill him a second time.
Zell Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 The last few days were hilarious. We were very close to the win on the day I got lynched, we were hoping to oust jayseven then. I honestly didn't think people would lynch me when Rez said I was good. But the irony was that the mafia profited from my death massively. Oooooh Zell was evil. Awesome. Some great mechanics there Cube. Particularly this is pretty genius; When did you mafia guys realise I was evil? Not soon enough! I felt like a complete goon when I realised you were mafia.
ReZourceman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 @ Heroic - Indeed this was why I was so umming and arrring about Sméagol. It was this sentence; Remove those votes idiots. Vote ReZ. And I was like "Okay, surely he isn't mafia" :p
heroicjanitor Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Hang on, Zell was not unlynchable, whoever Notes is he's a liar and a scoundrel.
